I listen in my car so much that when my 8 year old niece hears the ding at the beginning of the video, she instinctively sings the "Lovett or leave it," bit with the video. I'll hit play, the ding happens, then I hear from the back seat, "Lovett or leave it," along with the video. She has no idea what it means or what the show is but she has heard the intro so many times, she just does it. She will also sometimes go, "ding, ding, ding," when she hears the wheel spinning. She doesn't always get the timing right but it's usually close.
This is how I learned all of Queen's songs (at least the ones on the 2 albums the teenager who was driving me owned) as a kid. I didn't realize until I was older that they were a band, not a musical 🤣
Hitchcock called it an “icebox scene” - now called “fridge logic”: Something in a movie that passes by unnoticed while watching, then when you’re getting something out of the fridge, strikes you as illogical or inconsistent.
OMG Two Gay Matts! I love! Now I'm genuinely unsure whether I found them through Lovett or their Beyonce Renaissance reaction. It makes me happy you're friends though!
I completely agree with Jon about The Fall Guy! It was an enjoyable and fun film. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are so charismatic and beautiful...*swoon*...
I loved it. Surprisingly rare to see an action-romantic-comedy that works in every genre. Also rare to see a romantic comedy where neither of the lead characters would be a toxic person in real life.
For me, it’s the making fun of a heavy Chili’s waitress (who was her fan) in a TV interview. The woman’s weight had nothing to do with her story and the host even gave her an out at the beginning to not make fun of it. Haven’t been able to look at her the same way. But the movie is good, if you can pretend she’s anyone else.
It’s embarrassing when guys think adding “white” to a misogynistic statement somehow makes it not misogynistic. She’s just joking about her experience. It’s not one you or I will ever have but it’s not self-important any more than new dads talking about their lives.

Absolutely adorable!

I saw the Fall Guy a couple days ago, it's one of the best comedies in years

What the hell is 'wuder?'
It’s a regional accent for the word Water

Jones generation: Me!; Mariah Carey: I vomit a little in my mouth whenever her name is mentioned (69yrs old...Zep forever!!!
I just don’t like Emily Blunt. Anyone else in the role and I would see it. Maybe it’s her British accent. She just gives off an air of arrogance.

There is nobody feeling their self importance more than a white new mom - as if it hadn't ever been done before.
