Hey Joe, I'm almost 70 and I'm missing doing it off the rocks for any kind of fish. Catching big uns is so exciting and to watch your fishing skills is great to see. Your making me salivate and stir with a hunger to get me weary old man bod out there again. I remember while trying to get to a good spot, I had to swim across a couple of small gutts. I got out of the last one ,turned back to see a 12ft at least white pointer go past as I climbed out. When your young your more fearless or stupid, I'm just glad I still got all my limbs. Great fishing and catches Joe. As always, hunting or fishing, your the man. Cheers bro for making me hunger again. Most I did in one day was 7 king's off lures.
I'm real happy your enjoying the videos, that was a big part of why is started filming these trips, to try and make it feel like your out there with me. Thanks for the support and I hope you do manage to get out and fish again 💪🏻
Yah as I suck back beers and watch this crazy kid doing all the right things
very impressive
@@JK-bp9fh I know, sounds impressive but 4 of them were rats , two were pretty big, the other was just over a metre long. But still thats 7 kingi's.
Mate. that is extreme solo fishing - hard to get a true impression of how hard that trek in was. No wonder you and Cavy get on so well, kindred spirits - just different main quarry. Kingies are our GTs. Good work on getting some release footage this time, after a few hiccups on the previous vid. You nailed the whole thing bro.
Thanks man stoked to here your enjoying it! Yeah haha, the gopro sucked in water on the last trip so lost all the footage of the kingi releases 😵💫
This is the first full video I’ve watched of yours dude. You now have me as a fan after you took Cavy’s lure and then swam across that mental spot. Respect bro
Thank you bro! I appreciate it and am glad you enjoyed the video!
Loved you and Cavy on the island. Love the new posts....been chasing the 1 MTR kingie for years. Been 1-2cms short for 4 years. Give me confidence every week!!!
Awesome Video man!! Awesome New Rod style too!! i wish i lived in Australia or New Zealand Man!! I live waaaay in the Bahamas. Maybe one day i can come and fish along with you on your adventures. Take care man. All the best with your new Dragger Project, it looks fantastic!!
Tight Lines!! Big Love from the Bahamas!!
Joe! I can't wait for your videos to come out... I watchum all!! They are awesome!! Just wanna say Thanks!! Take care of your bride and little one!! Shootz!
Thanks Nathan, I'm glad to hear your enjoying the videos! Thanks mate
No gaff - absolutely amazing! Well done!
Best ever in-water release footage…you finally made it happen…cheers to a job well done!
Thanks Terry! Yeah good success with that footage. Unfortunately on the previous trip all those water releases didn't work because the gopro sucked in a heap of water!
Really cool to include the setup part before you went out. Useful to see how you get ready for a trip, knots, lures etc.
Thanks man, I am going to include more of the general footage of my day to day activities rather than only fishing action. Seems it sets more of a cool storyline to follow
Joe, you honestly are the reason that I persist fishing on lures and not giving up because I always see you catching monsters and monsters only
Next level skilled fisherman!🙌 Amazing scenery and editing, love the long videos, thank you man 👍
Cheers bro glad you enjoyed it!
Joe,
Love the content man. I watch everything from your fishing videos to your hunting adventures. Making it to NZ for a hunt is on my bucket list. Keep up the great work, I'm liking the new style of videos to.... more of a vlog style where you go shopping and talk to us about what's going on. How is Kathrine and the little one? Miss seeing her on the adventures, hope all is well.
Awesome vid & catches!! One of our fav spots to fish growing up.
Awesome man… really love the adventure of the fishing trip. Also the daiwa commercial you’re doing it.. looks really cool 😎
Wow what a fish! Crazy how he was right there a couple of times and then finally took it. Way to be persistent. Another epic fishing video Bro! Love the promo video of the new rod too. Cheers 🍻
Yeah crazy aye, they can be very difficult to convert into a hookup in that situation, im glad he gave me one more chance
Awesome trip, thanks for sharing it with us!
Really enjoying your content. When you dropped that first kingi in the little gut and the swells were coming in behind you I was genuinely stressed haha.
Another great video. Brilliant stuff mate.
Yes Joe! would love to see how you tie,FG knot please.
Nothing like a good old ran furly to top off an epic fish catch. Sand flies are more hated than the mos. Great video. Thanks mate. Good as gold.
What an incredible fishing video! Reminds me when I lived at my dads in American Samoa. It was never fished with a pole. But when I came from the states I caught unbelievable monster fish! This video makes me so happy. Keep up the good videos brother. Blessings! And have fun brother! 😅🤙
Great video Joe, enjoying life, well done.
I loved watching all your video JE and CAVY
amazing I really enjoy watching your videos. With so many fish around, I really enjoy it
Huge fish bro! and a major fight that it gave.. That fishing spot on that far out rock is awesome. Yeah I need one of those rod and reels One of these days
I am stoked to catch that fish, not stoked that it got rolled around in the rock pool tho. But it made a safe release
Joe, that’s the sort of video we have all kind of appreciate from you, top stuff. I have read somewhere that the “FG” in knot stands for “fine grip”. Im sure that’s right. Keep up the fine work, your fellow kiwi in Auss
Wow what a beautiful spot that you camped at man that background is just amazing
I really like your video, sir, thank you for sharing your experience, a beautiful place to take shelter while fishing...👍
so happy to see u uploaded
Thank you! 🤙🏻🙌🏻
Swimming that deep rocky coastline is scary. Cool video. Good camping trip bro. 👍
Beauty campsite man. But the swimming... and the giant fish caught in the little gully. Wow! Very hardcore J.E. I can relate to the mosies. Plenty in Alaska too!
Loved the vid mate and keep the pro tips coming very cool
It's when you decided to mention the sharks and your already in that did me ahahah your a Nutta! Balls of steel matey!!!
Thanks Joe, really enjoyed that video !
Thanks man stoked you enjoyed it!
New Subscriber here. Glad I happened upon your Channel, I’m really enjoying your content. Also, You do a great job Editing! I’m in the Missouri in the US, so only fresh water fishing for us. I consider your access to fishing like being in Eden, it’s beautiful there!
I am a fisherman from way back, and enjoy your skills and sense of adventure. Kudos!
Beautiful fish, was happy to see it released to swim again!
Great video! Thank you very much man!
Wow….unreal…love it ❤
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
BRAVO!!!!
NICE FISH
maan , that garden is like from heaven. !
I didn't see anyone say it but the FG is the "fine grip" knot as far as I remeber, I do use it on all my leaders its the best for braid to flouro/mono.
Amazing video !! What a wonderful life you live brother !!! One day !! Blessings stay safe !
The best content on CZcams. Great video !
Thanks bro so stoked to hear this!
That thing was massive. What a catch great footage too.
Mad respect brother! that 1st fish felt like you were getting pulled down hard! sick editing on that Dragger bro! 🙇🙌🔥
"I'm just gonna take 3 or 4" only leaves one 😅 that's so me 😂 haha

Very nice catchs sir👌🎣
Exciting video Joe. What is the back pack you've got? Its great that you blow it up..By the way theres only one place in NZ that has ruthless mosquitos. I love that AGITLAS 1800 reel.
Joe wild adventure bro! Cheers
Everything about this video is awesome
Hey Joe. Love your videos! Have you seen more and more of that slippery green seaweed all over the rocks recently. My last trip up north it was a bloody pain in the ass in my spot.
excellent video bro! Some bigboy fishes you caught . Watching from Trinidad!
what a epic video, legend!
FFS - surely there is some sort of small inflatable you could pack in for the crossings.
Maybe install a couple of ring bolts to secure a line for the return - when you are loaded up with fish which increases the risk of shark attention.
Not to mention you have to cross both ways.
Amazing!!!
Great video!
Bro, that was an epic battle and what a fish......
Your good in making Drama with the Fish in the gully. 🤣
Love the videos Joe! The kingfish you fight are proper lifetime fish for me mate💪. Just an FYI, the FG stands for fine grain. It called that because the mainline is almost woven into the leader creating a very fine grain.🤙 keep kicking ass legend!🫡
Cheers bro thanks for the knowledge 🙏🏻
@@JEWildsFishingmy little bit of useless knowledge is the least I can do for the knowledge you’ve provided myself and all the other people who subscribe to your YT channels. Pure🔥. 🫡
FG is fine grip? That's what I always understood...
@@MattsFishingEscapessounds good to me mate👍. I was taught to call it fine grain because of the type of grain that it creates on the leader, but I can see how the term fine grip is a good description as well🫡🤘.
Epic bro! Good episode
Yeah Muzz Shark Alley trip next time aye
Always on them massive kings wicked vid bro, where could I get my hands on one of those bags?
Awesome cheers 🍻
Just found this, bruh you seem so chill got my like and sub
Hey buddy.
I got to tell you as well as who reads this.
I’ve dumped many of five gallon cans of fuel in the tinmberjack and lots of other little holes. Turn the container so the pour spout is on top so the air returns easily. This will give you a little stream for pouring an not spill or slosh all over everything. Go slow and you’ll see.
Maybe I should do a video of that.
Wicked Fishing!
Boy that was intense to watch 😂 and solo too top man
Haha cheers man!
Just starting to watch this man but had to stop quick to comment on the FG knot. 100% please can you do us a little demo on how you do it, what you use to wrap your line on too? Do you cross the line over itself at all?
Even your knot of heavy leader to lure or swivel would be super handy. I have watched tonnes of videos on different ways but would be great to see what you do and land these monsters on! I look forward to watching the action. Cheers Antonio
Only ever fished on the lake where I live at Michigan, man what I would do to fish these amazing beautiful waters truly seems like no other fishing trip.
Nice going, son. I will have a look at your channel, South Africa Cape Town.
wow! scared the hell out of me and i am sitting on sofa watching it here in Gana (with a beer) subscribed, awesome fishing! What bag is that ?
Epic trip man! My feet were sweating when you swim those gaps but totally worth it! Curious what shoes and pack you are using out there?
Tight line bro, great spot

Hi, Love the Channel!! I have a Daiwa Saltiga 14k and want to pair it with a similar rod. Could you recommend one? Or would the one you have on your 18k be fine? Thanks so much, Luke.
Thanks for the behind the scenes. Interesting. Please show the FG.
Good job liked your video now I'm going to follow you to see more of your good job 👍.. very clear content 👏👏👏 by the way what is rod weight?

Vaya captura, compadre!!
Epic camp day
Sick man🎉🎉
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@JEWildsFishing where can we find the bag?
Need to get you a Thermacell. They will keep those mosquitoes away. Great video man. Keep up the good work.
Yes Joe another epic vid just wondering mate what breaking strain braid do you use. I'm guessing 130 pound.
It's Daiwa Saltiga PE10 boat braid, I think it has a breaking strain of 120lb. I really like it
wow, that's amazing, bro, give me a fishing tool, brother, I want to start fishing 😂🙏🎣🎣
I love your videos mate. I really envy the life that you have. Where is this location by the way?
How many pound braid line do you use and how much do you fit on the spool?
Hunting....then trapping....but in H20 !!!! FISHING 🎣 GREAT VIDEO
Great video. What kind of setup, pole, reel, lb test etc?
