Alisha Newton Reveals Why She Won't Be In Heartland Season 16!

- For many of you, Heartland isn't like it used to be. Especially with Ty gone, nothing feels the same anymore. On top of that, the series has lost another one of its favorite characters, Georgie Fleming, who didn’t appear in Season 15. Unlike Graham Wardle, Alisha Newton didn’t die but she just vanished from the series. Many fans have been upset about Georgie’s disappearance and have every right to be so! Let’s go into why we’re not seeing Georgie anymore and consider if there is a chance of her returning this season.

Heartland has had a great run and has been the best family show on TV since season 1. With that said, the younger actors needed to move on before being stereotyped. Only character Heartland cannot afford to lose is Jack, he holds it all together.

i know for a fact, Cindy Busby (Ashley) said she would be more than happy to comeback to Heartland for a
few Episodes, because i asked her. All she's waiting for is the producers and writers to work it out with her current schedule.

DEFINITELY miss Georgie and Mallory. Would love to see them return with Quinn and Jake and see them be involved in Heartland's growth and watch their families grow and carry on the legacy. I look so forward to this series because it is and has been the only feel good tv watching in a lot of years. The show offers hope. Life definitely has ups and downs but it shows how family can work through the problems. Its a shame that God isn't any part of the show. because with God as a center of life....life is definitely better.

Georgie is really a good actress. She was a natural in her Heartland role as a child.
I was looking forward to seeing where Georgie and Quinn's relationship would go. I heard that she returned in season 16, but haven't seen it yet. I sure hope they aren't gone forever but love that Mallory is coming back.

I'm only on Season 10. But it's not fair to get us to fall in love with their characters like Ty. Couldn't y'all find another man who looked like Ty but was just in a coma, y'all could've found a man who needed to act look like Ty that didn't pass away and just changed his looks after his accident there's plenty of men out there that slim and has short brown hair that could have resembled Ty easily. It is absolutely heartbreaking to hear that he passed away on the show. I absolutely love Heartland there's no bad sex scenes, no bad drugs scenes or nothing like that. But on it I don't like the cussing a couple times I've heard the grown ups to say the Lord's name in vain with a bad word on it. Bad, bad. But other than that it's a good show and Amy is absolutely awesome in it. Please don't ever take off Amy or Jack them to make the show absolutely and so did Ty but he's gone now so maybe they find Amy a boyfriend that becomes her husband that looks like Ty and funny laughs a lot. Ty was awesome absolutely awesome on the show and I'm going to miss him so much. I don't think I'm going to watch Season 14 episode 1 because I know I'll cry and cry and cry and cry and cry and cry for a half a day or so.
And who other than that keeps a good job up I like to see some more Rodeo parts on the show with Caleb and Jade riding Bronx that would be awesome.
Jade is another beautiful, talented young woman who we haven't seen in some time, bring Jade and Georgie back.

You have to remember Georgie decided to go Florida with Quinn to train , for the Olympics while she was in Florida she had an accident
So the writers had written her out for season 15 until her return and season 16. she had other projects she had to complete when she finally returned at the end of season 16
I'd love to see Georgie's return to Heartland, especially now that Payton Westfield is a featured character. Georgie had to face a few mean girls throughout the years, with Payton being one of them.
Georgie always found a way to rise above their cruelty; mostly because of her wise, caring, and loving parents, GG, aunt Amy and Uncle Ty teaching her and guiding her to work it out and to always choose to do the right thing.
Georgie is the beautiful young woman she is today, because of her strong, loving, family unit. Even if Alicia makes a cameo appearance once or twice a season, that would help Heartland's viewers to still feel connected to her character.

I think having her back fully or even partially would've push back the storyline we're getting with Katie right now, who feels second best to her. Last sunday's episode showed Georgie on the phone and you can tell by Alisha's acting she wasn't very into it and recorded the "phone" scenes quickly. All we know is that she got hurt. We /may/ she Alisha briefly appear in Sunday's episode but unlikely. However, I would like to see her come back for season 17 to officially wrap up her plot lines. It was left wide open and seemed very odd of Heartland to do. A last season could easily wrap up her storyline and make it easier for the cast to mention her in passing and pretend shes on the other end of phone calls. But given Katie's storyline this season, I think it's a good choice to not have Georgie be too front and center if at all actually present until Katie realizes her place in the family and that she doesn't have to be a "horse girl" to be apart of it. I truly like the focus and shift to Katie.
I always felt that Georgie was pushing Katie's character out. I also felt she was pushing Amy out.
