Interesting stuff, I've wondered if there ever was some sort of massive global electro-magnetic problem that wiped clean all magnetic based recording devices that its likely in 2000 to 3000 years or so from now they might have more info about ancient Egyptian culture who carved in stone than ours with electro-magnetic formats for most cultural products with the exception of books of course, maybe paper can last that long, but even stone isn't forever, it just takes the longest to break down.
