- 9 month old baby girl who won't eat from Daddy's hand. If I wasn't recording it myself I wouldn't believe it. Already, at 9 months old babies have the ability to know exactly what the want, even though they can't verbalize it yet. As hilarious as this is, it's time for some baby signing..."More Please"...and she'll have to learn to eat from whoever is feeding her. lol

Her pigtails kill me. 😄 When my son was 4 months I started spoon feeding him. By the time he was 6 months I figured it was time dad feed him and he gave the most startled look ever. It was like he'd never seen dad before. He took the bites but he never took his furrowed eyebrows and eyes off dad He was so confused. 😄 That was 37 years ago and I can still see it in my mind. Wish I'd had a camera.

I read that until about 6 months babies don’t realize they’re different from their moms. They think the woman breastfeeding them is a part of their own body. So it must be weird realizing the person nourishing you is a different being and then on top of that some other person is now trying to feed you.

@@e13kid That makes sense so if you express breast milk then dad or other family members can also feed the child. That way when weaning you won't have this refusal to feed from dad. I wasn't able to breastfeed for too long so my husband & stepdaughter used to enjoy feeding the babies.

When my sister was a year old, my father was working in another city and would come to visit us every other weekend. She would cry when he tried to pick her up.
Dad's on for very difficult teenage times ahead.

I would say don't let that man be with the baby alone. Doesn't matter he's the Dad. A hungry baby will eat from those that have treated them with love. I think the male may have been impatient to many times.
In some families maybe, but here daddy works hard and she eats from mama all day, so maybe she was just getting used to eating from daddy. Season was short lived. :) now she goes on dates with daddy!
This was so funny but it got me thinking, surely there were times when mommy was not around and dad would have to feed the baby? or did mommy always make sure she was there to feed the baby until baby was old enough to feed herself because without mommy being there the baby would starve.

@@teammyers My daughter did the same thing when I returned to work when she was 3 months old. She refused to eat. I quit after 3 days. She did the same thing when I was hospitalized, she was 11 years old then and again she refused to eat. My mom had to sneak her in the hospital with dinner because she won't eat if she doesn't see me. I'm glad she finally grew out of it at 17 years old 😌
She is exactly like my youngest, for over a year she refused to take a bottle off her Daddy. They were the best playmates but at bedtime she wanted nothing to do with him, just wanted me. At 2years old she still prefers me 🤦🏻♀️
