"Twiddle, finally!"-Michael Palmisano Been waiting for months, my man! They're such a great band with a fantastic message. Love them. Also great job with the teaching on the this one. I learned a lot here.
I never get sick of hearing twiddle, mahali. I love to watch them play. I try to keep up with every .show they play, or he plays. And mahali is a really nice person . I've seen 10 shows. The big or small " intimate" shows from here to new york
Been waiting for this one since you first started diving into the jam scene. some of the tempo changes were very much intentional, but they were definitely much looser occasionally sloppy at this point in their career. Check out Beehop, Grandpa Fox, or Blunderbuss for some serious tempo changing and modal madness, and peep anything from 2019/2020 to hear a big difference in the cleanliness and tightness of the whole band.
Also Mihali (guitarist) gets all the attention, but as you kinda picked up on, the Bassist(Gubb) and the Keyboardist(Ryan) are the real driving forces behind the songs/jams
I was at this show, front row. Serious jams that night. Mihali played on Dino’s shoulders during apples encore. These guys have really came a long way since then.
Less than 10K views in almost a month...hard to get another reaction with that low a turnout. Spread the word! Let's make Michael take notice! Join us tomorrow night and request some TWIDDLE!!!
Thanks for getting MP's attention to listen to Twiddle, B Wear. It was interesting seeing him try to track Mihali's artistry up and down the fretboard in the 15:00-16:30 timeframe. He didn't get too close to the last explosive riffs late in the video. Also, my ear isn't great, but I listen to a lot of Twiddle. Do you feel the tempo assertions were correct? I didn't sense that this was much different than any of 75 other Syncopated versions I've heard.
@@michaelgalbraith6990 Thanks for the thoughtful comment, Michael. I agree that I don't sense that this version is different from any other Syncopated, so the fluidity of the tempo may be something that the band just does. I do not have a great ear, either, so I would trust MP's assertions of moving tempo over mine, personally. MP isn't trying to figure stuff out note for note, as his reactions are on-the-fly first listens to a song, so I don't think it's fair to judge anything based on not figuring a solo out exactly within a few minutes...that's not the purpose or goal of the reaction vids. Join us for live shows on Tuesday nights where you can request a reaction to whatever you want! Hope to see you over there.
With the diad my guess is Mihali was influenced by Treys “anchor slide” technique, pretty sure Phish was a major influence on these guys. I mean this song is basically the Reba jam with lyrics
Man, this was like musical poetry... the best kind where the story ebbs and flows, and you’re not sure wtf the imagery is, until it all makes sense before wandering off again. But you’re along for the ride and don’t really care, just enjoying clearly some dudes who have played together for a while... great video.
The more people we have on the live show on Tuesday nights requesting Twiddle, the more Twiddle songs will get reviewed...they have not been represented, so bring it! Don't like the version, bring it on Tuesday nights! Subscribe or join the channel and get notified when Michael goes live! Hope to see you all there! Scott Condry his band Kung Fu and the Breakfast come to Florida a lot. They play at the Dunedin Brewery near Clearwater Florida. Seen them a bunch and they are some of the best musicians around.
if honest is welcomed, this wasn't one of my favorites but Micheal pointed out some interested perspectives that kept me watching to the end. Michael's goal is to educate his audience, welcome diversity and to force viewers outside their comfort zone. Love this channel. After I graduate college at 52, I look forward to picking up my 1st guitar and become a rockstar. lol. MP keep changing the world around you. Big Fan!!!
Dude i love that ur doing twiddle....ive asked many people to react. Plump chapter 1 and 2, prelude to conscienceness somewhere on the mountain or any album
Love me some twiddle. Weird that someone would send Michael a 2015 jam as an intro though, Twiddle is better post-haircuts. Love that you call out the bass -Zdenek Gubb is the best member of the band and IMO the best player in the jam scene Edit: this is twiddle from right before concerts stopped. First is a composition and the second is a sick jam vehicle. czcams.com/video/AEOi3yjRD70/video.html
Been watching your videos for some time now and you are just great! Please do check The Curtain by Snarky Puppy & Metropole Orkest. It's got everything from amazing groove to great melodic solos. Thanks, and keep up with great work!
PLEASE react to Aqueous. I don't care what song, but they are the only band that makes me think, is this Umphreys or Aqueous. They are that good in my opinion.
Don't forget about moe.! A must for sure, and I say that with the UTMOST confidence. Anyone wanting to delve into these genres that has a taste for good jam should definitely tune in. And the best part is you can never have too much moe.! (pun intended.)😂
Twiddle 100% has purposely sloppy/jerky tempo changes. It’s part of their feel. I always felt like it is to remind us that the “mistakes” we make are redeemable, and are only mistakes from particular points of view.
First time hearing this. Sounds like what Phish used to do, get way off tune in their jams, and then bring it back to super crisp. DO EARLY "PHISH" MUSIC REVIEWS PLEASE. Love the channel
No, the tempo drop was not on purpose. Their drummer is not very good. I don't understand the fascination with this band. They're plain white bread "jam" style music without much interesting direction. They're also just not very nice people. I'm from VT in the music scene here and they think they're all hot shit
Have you tried smudging yourself with sage and trying again? As someone who has known these guys for the last 16years, I've gotta disagree with you, they're great guys and so is their talent. White light to you, be a frend💛
Absolutely Love this band and Mihali, the music is so pure.
mihali goes crazy
This is so hilarious just watching him be confused trying to explain Twiddle. I love it so much.
watching you get down to my favorite band for the first time is so great!!! thank you!
Mihali is a phenomenal guitarist and skillful songwriter. I encourage you to check out his solo stuff!
MAPLEWOOD
Mihali is amazing
I love twiddles bass player, so good

I think Mihali and Twiddle just blew his mind………Mihali is one of my favorites I think I hit 5 Mihali shows since June❤️👍❤️👍✌️❤️✌️❤️

They've definitely cleaned up through the years
Love the frankie picture! Love for the twiddle fam! This past tour was the last two shows I saw before covid hit.
Aye. Pretty great stuff the last couple of years. 2015 was a different time.
Hey FRENDS Twiddle rules!
I love what you did there!!!!
Love it!!! Definitely check out some of their newer jams as they have developed as musicians greatly. The jams of Ryan and Gubb are phenomenal now.
God I miss seeing live music.
May never see it again, or at least how we used to.
You should play something by Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Fun In Funk, Horizon, and Dawn a New Day are all solid choices
Porcupine 🙏
I’d love to see horizon
I was at this show, front row. Serious jams that night. Mihali played on Dino’s shoulders during apples encore. These guys have really came a long way since then.
Big THANK YOU, Michael! You're the best!
Good pick, my friend! Cool tune!
B Wear. Send me a little email at kevin@jamflowmgmt.com - I want to send you a little thank you for forcing the issue with Michael!

Yes! Cant thank you enough for this. Great song. Great instruction. Cheers mate! 🍻
By the way… it does change (the tempo)
Loved this! That silver sky sounds absolutely like a dream!
This was fun, only had an occasional acquaintance to Twiddle. Keyboardist is a beast.

Please do a review of the band Kung Fu. The guitarist is one of the most incredible guitarist out there right now.
Tim Palmeri is indeed nasty, have you seen him in Z3?
Having seen Tim several times, he is a pretty amazing guitarist...good call!!!

My favorite feel good song...love it.
Love this, I need to learn some more basics first haha. Thank you!
I hope you will react to Jamflowman sometime. This is just a cool tune from Twiddle.
is it me or they are clearly better today ? because it was not the best syncopated healing ive heard ! Love twiddle
Nail on the head here!
The whole filming thing could have changed the vibe for them a bit too...idk
They’ve gotten so much better honestly. Pretty sure they’re just now hitting their peak in terms of quality.
Saw them the other night, absolutely killed it. This vid of them doesn’t seem to compare
Love this band
Vermont FTW!
Cool jammer! Thanks!

reminds me of phish Harry hood towards the middle end. with a little hippie rap thrown in.
Thank you Michael

hints of mango & starfruit
Definitely heart🌊🏖️healthy
I think they have a new drummer now and that cat is fire
💚💜💚💜💚💜💚💜💚💜💚💜
I cant believe you did twiddle.
What's up mike! Tinman from caifornia
Tim Palmieri from Kung Fu or The Breakfast is a guitar master. Please review!!!
How can I work on playing guitar like this? I would describe myself as Intermediate but lack a lot of the theory required to play jam tracks.
I seriously think you would like "thank you scientist"
I definitely second this! "Mr. Invisible" is an amazing tune!
If you wrote a guitar theory book I'd buy a 1000 copies instantly
I freaking love twiddle. Have you done a goose video yet?
I didn't know what 'Twiddle' meant, so I made the mistake of Googling it and landing on Urban Dictionary's definition...😳
We need pigeons playing ping pong !
Tweedle Dee tweedle Dum what kind of guitar does he strum?
Mihali is great but there are so many better/more recent videos of him to share

React to black midi! They have super innovative guitar playing!
you love prs isn't is it?
I think those tempo changes are intentional.
hey! you should react to violence of the red sea by earthless, i think youd dig it!
Do pigeons playing ping pong! Songs like porcupine, horizon, whoopie, lightning (from peach 2018) with marcus king
Interesting blend of influences. Phish is obviously looming large in that jam. A good video on something like antelope from phish would be fun.
Michael won't to Phish anymore, unfortunately.
The guitarist was a huge Phish fan and moved to Vermont to start a band like Phish. He accomplished his goal! Gotta give him props!
You should check out ichika nito, luv these vids
Hey Michael can you please listen to En la ciudad de la furia (MTV unplugged) by Soda Stereo. Its an amazing song i think you would like

I’ve honestly never questioned the sounds of Aq vs UM lol. Love them both but they’re totally different.
Tempo is moving because Brooke is drumming. Love Brooke and love my twiddle boys tho
Right after I say that he saves it with a jam breakdown
You should play some Phish? Ever hear of them?
"A great place to go and hide" lolll so funny
