Trump did a lot for New York over the years and they have treated him like crap as a thank you
Oh, The Donald was loved and respected by a lot of folks until he "came out" as a Republican c. 2016.
@@GilmerJohn I tell my kids that they are watching manufactured drama like what you see on professional wresting. The media creates a good guy/bad guy narrative and pushes it hard for clicks. Evil Trump is great for business so they run with it 24/7.
The major part of why American labor is so expensive is the ridiculous tax burden. If you don't think the government would just tax the robots instead, you haven't been paying attention.
Good point. Many/most of the "Welfare State" nations get much/most of the heath care funds from Value Added Tax (VAT). The VAT has some interesting benefits. One is that it subsidizes exports and it's an across the board tax on imports. It's a consumption tax which means governments aren't as reliant on income tax which means that it's possible & profitable to launch businesses.
Before Forbes sold out to Red China, the published suggested that the US Government "federalize" the UAW pension plans with a VAT. That way, the importer of vehicles would pay for the health and care of retired American automobile workers.
@@GilmerJohn, how is VAT different from sales tax?
@@bigredgreg1 -- Good question made more difficult when "features" of the sales tax are tacked onto the VAT.
The VAT can best be explained by considering a "middle man" that buts raw materials from supplies, makes some stuff, and then sells it to wholesalers or retail stores. Whatever our middle man buy from the suppliers, he also pays the VAT which is collected by the supplier and sent to the government just like sales tax. When our middle guy sells to the wholesalers or retail outlets, he collects the VAT and passes it onto the government BUT he gets a credit for the VATs he payed to his suppliers.
Usually, a sales tax is only collected when stuff is sold to the final consumer. For "social" reasons, governments vary the sales tax rate (e.g.: no tax on grocery food but double tax on restaurant food). A VAT doesn't ordinarily do that but silly folks often try to impose social concerns and reduce the VAT on some items.
If you go to Canada, as an example, you are charged VAT but if you keep your receipts, you can fill out a form and you will get a refund if you are a tourist.
I never understood a payroll tax.
@@logan9920 -- Well, in the US they were part of the New Deal. Social Security was copied from Germany from before WWI. The others parts were the withholding by he employer of income tax and the payment of unemployment taxes by he employer. Together than greater increased the "paper work" needed to legally hire someone. A case can be made that these taxes are responsible for the fact that the US was the last industrial nation to recover from the worldwide Great Depression. Indeed, the US didn't recover until WWII started in Europe and Britain started buy arms from the US.
Unfortunately, the modern state requires a lot of money. It's fun to "tax he rich" but the great middle class also has to be tapped. Were there no withholding, the middle class wold dig its collective heels in to resist "tax and spend" policies.
Perhaps a VAT would be better. And make the SS payments separate from your "work history."
26:00 The capital gains tax is the government wanting to take part in your investments, but only if you win. And without putting anything up. What a friend.
Yep. It used to be you could deduct capital losses against ordinary income but that now limited to something like $3000/year. Folks that lost Big Buck$ (like $200k+) can never get full credit for the loss.
The capital gain tax rate is usually less that your marginal income tax rate.
@@GilmerJohn 👍 We've got an army of indoctrinated young people who actively want to discourage business. They want everyone to be a drone. Partly, that makes them feel less bad about their lack of initiative. Not for me!
All of Biden's friends and the people sitting at the steering wheel of his decrepit little brain are the people who would be affected by this. It would destroy the economy besides. Not going to happen. Just a carrot on a stick for the useful idiots.
All they want is everything
(1) Culling mean dogs is how humans created dogs.
(2) Kristi Noam's political career is over.
It's quite interesting. It seems most people are quite empathetic towards dogs but there's a large segment of the population that simply view them as property (which, legally they are but I think people who have that internalized are not fully human).
@@gezenews Precisely. I understand that often, you have to do what you have to do but some people just treat it like discarding a used tissue. Not saying that Noem was that way (though mentioning it was ill-advised unless she wanted to get out ahead of it)
Mr. Adams, I totally agree with your analysis of General Flynn’s strategy and now tactics.
Of course, you do. After all, CIott has you hypnotised, and you will thus "totally agree" with whatever he endorses. He's, literally, admitted to as much himself! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@geoff3336 how can you be sure?
I agree with Scott's understanding of the court case. The government prosecutor was flailing.
And half your capital gains are actually inflation..
BINGO! Inflation is actually a form of "wealth tax" when combined with the capital gains tax. In some times and cultures capital gains weren't taxed because it was realized that it was just a wealth tax.
Thank you for everything you do for us, Scott. Very much appreciated. ❤
Book name should be 'Flynn Flammed'
I really like it when things are going Scott's way.
Qatar capturing our universities financially is a great stratagem.
40% of Our tax money is used to fund the forever growing, unaccountable federal govt. So $1 of tax money generates a maximum benefit of 60 cents.
Dr. Koop estimated 1/3 of health-care dollars went for red tape and bureaucracy.
Can anyone doubt it is 1/2 today?
@@fattguy21 -- I remember in the 60s that some doctors didn't have any full time staff. Now there are about 1.5 staff per each doctor.
Most of staffers now have a responsibility to check boxes online programs to get paid. Also reflects on the other staffers performance overall. It’s not about serving patients and checking in their health and what is needed. The same in hospitals with mostly contract workers that get paid for online check marks and not checking on patient status, needs to be,changes , etc.
Well Scott, you may be correct on the political aspect of Christie Noems Dog incident, but you certainly don;t know anything about rural life.
Worried about a president owning a business and making money......but writing the laws and knowing what will happen to the companies is okay with them.
28:14 ... 100%
When are the Locals engineers gonna get their act together?
Qatar capturing our universities hasn’t gone unnoticed all these years but it was allowed to metastasize. This is my take. Sure people spoke about it, but nothing was done to treat the problem. We’re at stage 4 right now when it could’ve been nipped in the bud a lot earlier.
When Trump railed against all the hundreds of Chinese “think tanks” giving money to universities he was attacked as xenophobic and racist. The left weaponized everything and the establishment Republicans drop their pants and bend over.

Over some of these
College foundations
Right about now..
Scott, you can use 503c organization or private foundation to deal with your capital gains.
Good point. The value of the contribution is stepped up to the market value at the time the gift is made.
If someone gives a healthy amount, he could "suggest" that someone near and dear be hired. Also, a "charity" might want to select you to be on the board of directors and pay your expenses to the quarterly meetings. All quite legal.
@@GilmerJohn and Scott would get a healthy tax deduction. Buffett manage to transfer all of his wealth tax free.

Just think of how many benchies you could turn out.
A easy why to pass on less than $100k/year to relatives is a business that doesn't break even which the kids uses to expense things. eg storage, equipment use, rentals, education. The kid needs to listen to the CPA though.
The ADL was founded on protecting a j ish "PDF file". It hasn't decayed at all, it's still engaged in its purpose.

Scott wants to know how much danger he is in after the 2 jabs he took 😂
I know why he got the first jab. Why did he get the 2nd jab?
@@GilmerJohn Because he was pro anything about covid
@@GilmerJohn After getting the first superpower, he was hoping for one where he could see through women's clothing.
@@chaos.corner-- Well, as superpowers go that's up there. Definitely above, say, mind reading.
Scott, what do you think about combining all defense industries under government control ? The budget is over $1T and I believe that with skims, kickbacks ,dark programs it is much more than this. Sure there are secret endeavors that only a few should know about, but Trillions were missing admitted Rumsfeld on Sept 10th. There has to be some real oversight or if our dollar is marginalized the whole world will be in a depression.
The US government used to do just that. For example, the Big Guns used by the US Navy used to be manufactured by a factory in Washington, DC. It closed down c. 1970. Now the government even contracts out the processing of Medicare payments.
@@GilmerJohn Privatization of those kinda things has been a rightwing policy push for ages. It's supposed to let us gain all of the benefits of private business running things like efficiency/cheaper etc. Instead what we actually get is higher prices to gain profits and corruption etc for the politicians' buddies :)
Same reason they want to slice off the post office for themselves for example.
@@sup1e -- Whatever. I notice that "liberal" administration are just as fast to contract out as conservative administrations. A part of the problem is that governments have a very difficult time getting rid of employees that aren't needed. When I was a contractor embedded in a government office I noticed that about 15% of the government work force just wasn't given anything to do. It was easier for management to simply ignore them than "manage" them to include firing them.
@@sup1e I am very free market, supply and demand but 10% of our budget vanishes causing higher taxes and inflation for everyone
Scott must have a lot of money in tesla.

How’s this for AI generated advertising text:
"As soon as you take it out of the box, you can tell this is a high-quality item. It looks smart and of high value. The brushed chrome finish is a really nice touch."
That actually makes people buy.

Where can I get one before they’re all sold out whatever it is.
Here is an honest critique of Israel without venturing into Jew hatred territory: I don’t know what the Israelis are thinking negotiating with Qatar for a hostage release / ceasefire fire deal. Do the Israelis really think the leaders of Qatar are honest, neutral parties brokering a fair deal? Qatar is nothing but bad news and they aren’t negotiating in good faith. Israel confounds me at times.
They are under tremendous pressure, domestically and elsewhere, to get the hostages out.
@@fattguy21our airbase there gives Qatar a sense of superiority and safety from retribution. It’s their umbrella protecting them from things that fall from the sky.
Here is an honest question/ critique also - why does Israel spend billions on defense and have an iron dome and all this technology etc but they were too dumb to have an actual defense for the weakest point along the border where civilians were living ?
@@JackyJohnson23this is what my sources are telling me: it was a cascade of failures. They have a strong defenses down there but it was a holiday, the country was absolutely rocked with chaotic protests over the courts, and serious security warnings were somehow not conveyed to the new, current govt. they dropped the ball big time and their head of intelligence recently resigned

Where given all the advances technical and otherwise as Elon Musk has helped Mark Cuban understand it's the equality of opportunity rather than result is the best possible outcome of that argument. rather than attempting to lower all , all can win, given an equal opportunity for an equal education and so on and so forth.
The Japanese hold data to a higher standard for decision making than we do. It is in their governments interest to try to cover up the study based on how invested they were in encouraging the jab. I wouldn’t dismiss the study with the same old cliche “you can’t trust data anymore” comment.
If you had a representative who, for all intents and purposes is a card carrying member of the “squad”, would you call their office to complain about their leadership or is that just wasted energy? I’m thinking it’s wasted energy, but am interested in what people think.
Will robots have unions🤔
I imagine they'll have all sorts of fittings.
Regarding Elon, as Scott knows well, when you respond to a claim with name-calling, it's because the claim is either true, or proving it false would reveal something even worse.
Or maybe just loss of temper.
Not always, sometimes it's putting someone in their place.
I’m no auditor, but I know a scam when I see one, especially when it involves foundations whose returns are tied to hedge fund performance.

Don't be so forken selfish Scott. You gotta pay 50% tax to help all the illegal migrants that need welfare bro.
Foreskin shellfish?
PAUSE dang it.
Scott is wrong that you cannot give money away. There is a gift tax, but there are ways around it. Just ignore Scott, and talk to an estate planning lawyer.
Ways around it, like what? I would think that the government has had a long time to close all the loopholes that once existed. Did they forget one?
Whenever abstract matters like simulation theory, or the "Big Bang" are discussed, the human mind tend to concretize and anthropomorphize that which cannot be objectified or understood intellectually; and with man's failure of apprehending abstract matters he comes to the conclusion of their non-existence. Man, therefore, becomes ignorant of his ignorance.
The human mind also likes to make up shit.
13:25 "Don't you think he'd get better result, if he left everybody else out and had just one person (Elon Musk) on the advisory board?"
No, actually he wouldn't. But you wouldn't know.
