I absolutely adore my 890r. It's a proper weapon. My last two bikes were 1290s superdukes gen1 and gen2. I'm definitely quicker on the 890. And smiling more. I was keeping up with a 22 plate Aprillia tuono the weekend. He was convinced I was on a 1290 until we hooked up at the café

What a combed you got, bro. That bike deliverers power everywhere, low revs, mid, high. When it brakes, seems like hitting a wall, and it’s sneaky trough the corners. You have been able just to catch him on straight line because your bike spins at 15k rpm or more, but when time to stop came, he was in front of you again. It’s a dream bike I think, especially on twisties.
That must have been really off-putting for the Duke rider having you semi-diving down the inside constantly! Good driving other than that. I'm really impressed with that KTM commuter which must be down on power compared to the R6
Put it on a tight track, within long straights and that Duke would smoke that R6. And that 890R isn’t down on anything, it’s got 80 ft/lb torque, that pulls like a beast out of a turn.

@@willroberts2773 when I surprised my 12 year old son (He races supermoto) When I told him I bought another bike...when he first saw it in the garage next to my XR1200. He thought it was a Grom. For a brief moment. My point is that it is small for basically a 900.

Actually not. The R6 cant handle to hold the gas stable during a curve. Way to much movement and not the best line.

I don't know in what mode he is riding but I ride it in track mode , AWM off and slip only to 1 , suspension set to sport .
