Magician reacts to Stevie Starr The Professional Regurgitator perform for the judges on Romanias Got Talent 2019. Is he using magic tricks or is it real? Find out what a magician thinks about Stevie's performance in this recent episode from Romania's românii au talent auditions. One of the best auditions for sure! He uses coins, a billiard ball, sugar, soap, smoke, and flammable gas to breathe fire! What does Stevie NOT do?? Stevie was also on AGT (America's got talent) The Champions 2019. He didn't win, but he has an amazing and unique act!

Yes, Romanian style is generous, and very interactive and talkative, which could be seen as disrespectful. Just how people are here, and I think his street performance style invites to this. In all music performances the artists have performed without interruption. But always lots of genuine emotional reactions.

This guy is not demonstrating illusions. This guy really is the real deal.I know this to be fact as many years ago in the late sixties i was about seven years old an had been admitted to York hill children`s hospital in Glasgow. As it turned out i had coeliac disease.During my stay there i met Stevie Star who had been admitted for some health issue or another,he was about the same age as me at the time.He came over to me ,introduced himself and proceeded to show me the trick of him swallowing money.I was amazed at this and asked him how he learned the trick .He explained to me that he had been brought up in a children`s home and had learned to swallow his money to prevent the other children from stealing it.The man is totally genuine and really does has a remarkable ability to control his digestive system.I`d love to meet him again and i do wish him all the very best.He made an unpleasant stay in hospital become a lot more bearable.

In one of his performances he told the story of how he was a kid on a community foster house and he started to hide his lunch on his stomach because he didn't want to be robbed by the other kids. I don't know if it's true but his act impressed me back then and still does to this day and it's good to see him keep going and keep adding. @DavidLGood Před 4 lety +7

I would disagree with this statement. Just because the Guinness Book gives someone a 'record' for something doesn't mean they employ magicians on the technical staff. In other words, the Guinness Book staff has been fooled by fakers and tricksters MANY times. They're just human. Besides... he can get a record for regurgitation, which is perfectly fine -- but that doesn't mean he doesn't also use slight of hand techniques in his routine. You can have both in a performance, which is exactly what he's doing in this routine -- it's a mix of methods.

Late reply, but I know how he swallowed the smoke. When I was a teenager I discovered how I can swallow air, and later bring it back, but not as smooth as he did. I was just starting to swim in deeper waters, so I sometimes used this as a way of helping me float 😅
What the judges were telling in romanian was a reference to the coruption in Romania. The first guy said in English "don't swallow it, it's all of the Romania's money", then after swallowing all the money another one said "just like the government makes them disappear", and finally when he brought up the first coin, he added "this isn't like the government, they don't give anything back". The moment one guy went to hold the lighter, the other one told him "watch your hair, watch your hair", and that's kind of all that was worth translating. The rest were just normal reactions you get when someone is surprised. 😁

I am from Scotland and Stevie has been doing this for maybe 30 years or more, I think he was from the Airdrie area which wasn't too far from me. These are new variations of the tricks he started off with all that time ago. I recollect he told the story that he started off by swallowing his lunch money so that bullies could not get it at school and would regurgitate it when he needed it. He has learned to control his stomach muscles to manipulate or separate items within. He used to swallow water and then a live Goldfish and then bring them both up into a glass. I think he has also manipulated a Rubix Cube or similar items - this is not trickery but a skill he has spent a lot of time developing.

"I dont know how he's swallowing powder, putting it to his mouth and not choking, I've seen people on CZcams doing the cinnamon challenge and coughing and gagging. So that's some kind of special talent."
OMG I couldn't stop laughing when he said that 😂😂😂😂😂

I am truelly impressed with Stevie Starr's performance. Not much a fan of the regurgitating act before, I now see it as the art it is. This time his act was superb, and Stevie as a performer is joyful and smooth. I agree with your review, Jason, including thinking that all is real swallowing and regurgitating, no hidden props in cavities. If he can hold the gass, then why would he fake it with the coins? He must feel where they are in his gullet, and control his peristaltic musle. At the same time of acknowledging that he is a physical anomaly, I see him as a magican too (after all), because of how he builds up his act, and the reveals. Amazing talent, funny seeing the judges reacting, great video.

To be a bit more precise about this being a magician's act (after all) : Compare it to a flatulist, who can suck and hold air in his/her intestines. Also a physical anomaly, but what can one do with it? Blowing out candles and 'whistling' the National Anthem. Those are not magician's tricks, more like a bird or dog singing. Stevie Starr disrupts our expectations. Both Flatulists and Regurgitators have the 'YUK'-factor. But Stevie rises above that.

I say that about the coins because I don’t think he could be able to store them in separate parts... that seems too far fetched for me. BUT... I could be totally wrong 😂

@@JasonParkerMagic -- Hmm, I can see both ways too. Keeping the coins somewhere in the mouth without hindering one's speech is not impossible, it seems to me. Just tiny coins. But the fact that sucking and retrieving smoke, soap-liquid AND flammable gas is already so amazing, that fiddling with coins inside should be 'peanuts' for Stevie. My question would be: Why do a 'fake' trick when you can do so many for real? That sugar trick though ... ... no idea. Someone suggested it's sucking it into the nose [real]. Or is it a breakable bag stored inside [fake]. Mystery.
