- Fáilte and Welcome to Éire Rider Adventure Travel my name is Ben,
We will be looking at Everything You Need To Know About Packing For Your Trip To Ireland! I go over a few suggestions or tips for your visit. Ireland is generally considered a wet country so packing for the season of summer is not always a good idea.
You will have to consider the rain fall and climate of Ireland when visiting. In this video I go through a few things you should bring with you. Consistent summer warm days are a rare thing in Ireland and if they do happen you might get 2 weeks but its very unpredictable. So to ensure you make the most of your visit I strongly suggest you look into bringing a few essential items. These shouldn't take up to much space and you can always bring your summer items with you in case of that great weather.
The west of Ireland differs greatly from the weather in the east. The best weather can be found in the south east towards Wexford as this part of Ireland tends to get most of the sunshine however the West holds most of Ireland jewels so you have to come out to see them. Plenty of hiking walks, waterfalls, mountains. forest and beaches for you to enjoy.
Packing warm clothing, waterproof jacket and boots is essential when traveling to Ireland.
Here are some waterproof items mentioned in this video:

Great upload bud, you elaborated this beautifully! Fantastic presentation 👌
Thanks so much for the comment.
Thank you for the advice! I’m heading to Ireland soon and this was very helpful!
That's Lily. Plenty to see around here. You can check out my website for places visited. I've alao got photos and a map.
Great advice, I am not coming to Ireland this year but spending 5 weeks in the UK, 3 1/2 in Scotland and the balance in England. From what I found out all of you advice can be applied to the UK as well. Plus all the same advice can be applied while on ones motorcycle as well. Hope for the best , be ready for the worst, lol . Take care !
Thanks Phil. Appreciate the comment. Ireland tends to get most of the rainy weather before the UK.. In some cases UK weather is alot better than Ireland. Scotland too also gets a fair amount of rain. I'll be doing a bike version soon. The weather is going to be bad for some time unfortunately.
Excellent guide, old friend!
Thanks Bullion bouncer. hope you are keeping well.
I'm from the PNW in the US and our weather is quite similar to Ireland. When I visited Ireland the first time I packed basically what I wear at home, but I didn't bring a swimsuit because everyone told me it would be too cold and horrible to go swimming. I ended up begging my dad for some money and walking to a nearby store to buy a swimsuit because we were staying near an incredible beach and I wanted to swim. I had that swimsuit from age 12 to 21! So, moral is, even though Ireland is often rainy, it also has great beaches and good swim spots.
The beaches are fantastic here. Especially in the west. I've highlighted a few on my channel. Maghera, Portnoo to name a few. Well worth a look if you get a chance.
Exactly the video I needed! My friend and I are taking a 3-day trip to Ireland in-between our study abroad trip to the UK. Coming from a hot location, it's really interesting to see how the suggestion is to dress warmly even in the summer. Hopefully our tiny suitcases don't run out of space, haha.
thats great to hear. Ireland is wet country. its more to embrace the rain so ensure you have the clothing for this. We are also in a heat wave at the moment which is unusual. Something for the wet, something for when its cold and something for when its warm. YOu should be fine. When are you planning to come over?

@@kuraihiroma sound great. I'll probably be in Donegal that weekend too. Have a great time.
@@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure thank you!
Nicely done on the wet weather attire for Ireland! Thumbs up. Quick; Concise; On point!
I noticed you're wearing denim jeans. Are those recommended as well, being cotton and prone to retaining water and becoming rather chilling? I appreciate your videos, please keep them coming!
Thanks Mark. I suppose jeans are worn by the large majority in wet and dry weather all year round.
not travelors who pack light and travel fast. Those of us in certain circles refer to cotton and the "death cloth." @@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure
@@markbeames7852 I would agree with you on that.
Not always raining in ireland
True but always be prepared for it. No matter the season.
