When I windsurf'd (i kite now) I was a speed merchant. Uh, this puts me to shame. Dunkers is a legend alongside Robby. Awesome video.
What a legend! Phenomenal speed by a modern day Viking.
That's fantastic! Well done!
Increible. Great years ago, great now. For me. The greatest windsurfer.
And Robby 🙂
The drone shot is epic!
well, this is really fast like hell...anyone who tried to go on a gear over 60 km/h knows what I'm talking about. Need to go & try this channel some day...when they make it a bit more wider :-)
Yup. After a certain wind speed it just seems to come from above and flattens you. But I haven’t tried new equipment.
He’s using a pretty big sail too.
If the sail is too small then the front of your board just flys up.
55mph steady is doable though. Gotta be strong enough to stick with it. I’d be scared to fly off into the dirt here. !
Ballz of steel
Master,experience, power,technique,the best!!!!!
Genial!!! un maestro el Bjorn !!
Quel monstre!
Who. What kind of insane drone was this that could do that in that wind?
Epic!
Amazing!! ... but, would have been nice to have some atmos audio tho, under the drone stuff, but I know film making and CZcams don't always go together, thought my computer had died ... but incredible achievement, and yes what sort of drone is that !! in that wind strength and at those speeds!!
I’m here for the fpv footage. Good job pilot.
Mama mia… reminds of Weymouth and Ste-Marie-de-la-Mer in the golden age (eighties)! Bjorn was and is still from another planet…
Amazing!
Wow, incredible!
J’aime bien le petit cri de plaisir pendant le run, ça veut tout dire 😎
Legend
Espectacular
Legend Forever.
speeeeeeeeeed - respect!
So much cooler than kite dangling.
Hahahaha!!!! Totally agreed!!!
Windsurfing like playing tennis with a wooden racket.
They look like little spiders dangling from webs... Thats why I call them kite danglers...Is that really considered catching air, because it doesn't look like catching air to me.
Let me know next time you see a windsurfer jumping 30m
@@kentclark9616 on a ski ramp you jump 200m , diferent dogs.
Met bjorn at a speed event at sotavento back in the 90s. Legend then, Goat now!
dont say goat, that's a reference to lucifer. repent and avoid hell, believe in JEsus

Yessssss !!!!
Drone dude> Legend
Björn the best
Only amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
i dont even wind surf but this is amazing
Cool and brutal
Wow!
BJORN IS THE BEST
amazing point of view! good job Pilot ! Thanks for sharing with us the performance of Bjorn
is it a Boom with only one side ? and a carbon reinforcement ?
thanks! there is much better drone footage coming ;-)
Woooo hoooo!
It looks like rather shellow water there. The race was dangerous for such phenomenal speed, that is why he cried in one moment.
Blimey.
Unplug the brain and .... GO!!!!! 👏👏👏😀
Good job Bjorn!!!
How can drone fly in such wind????!!!!🤔
👍😎🇫🇷
so damn fast!!!
Wow wow wowwwww...🤙🤙🤙💪💪💪
Crazy good! What was the windspeed?
Worthington Windsurfers.
35 to 38 knots
know that smile gotten it myself not sailboarding but the same smile...
What's the wind speed and what direction is it coming from? From the way the sail is pulled all the way in, maybe pretty close on the bow?
Does anyone noticed the different booms he used in this video? What was the fastest?
I noticed. He was hooked into a double boom on the first ride... a single on the second run.
Let me ask the sail size and the litres of the board ?
wow....guess what the sensation is when you are actually on the board....
The second POV (boom) is from a different attempt than in the first (drone) and third (Helmet) POV . In the second POV he uses a special one side boom. In any case it is scary...
I noticed the boom was different at the 1:40 mark.
great video, epic run
Terri Myatt NAylor of Wrightsville Beach needs to be in this
Dunkerbeck is the GOAT for me...
dont say goat, that's a reference to lucifer. repent and avoid hell, believe in JEsus
My God. That’s insanely fast. My record is 60km/u with a regular board. That’s nothing compared to his speed. I'm always afraid I'll fall and destroy all my gear.
This channel looks pretty shallow, and at 100km/hr you'd probably break your neck as well!!
Thats about the top speed I was clocked at and man I thought I was flying. Perfect conditions there.
GPS peak at 75km/h and that was bloody terrifying - I've no idea how 100+ happens!
Cool, my record is 65 km/hr. in 12-14 meter pr. second wind speed with a custom pin tail board. I would have done faster with shorter double fins at rear end, instead of a single fin. The board tend to slide a little at high speed. 2 fins make it more steady.
What about hurting yourself?😅 one can always buy another gear.
There's a wonderful experience of wiping out at speed, when you bounce and skid along the water for a while before decelerating into it.
At 100 kph, though, eyewear is necessary to prevent the inevitable eyepouching of water from ripping out a lower lid.
I've only experienced the packing and stretching at lower speeds a number of times, later worrying about bacteria finding my eye socket a warm and hospitable nest.
As many of you know, facial sanding tends to occur when ambient wind rises. At 25 knots it's mostly only knee height, but increases until painful at head level.
Other amusements occur, spray itself becomes painful.
Naked windsurfers, be warned.
Ya sé porqué lleva el reloj, es para comprobar cuanto se detiene el tiempo al acercarse a la velocidad de la luz.
Maybe a stupid question. At this speed, does one steer these boards also with feet and body weight or this this done alone with the sail?
It’s actually a very good question. You could say it’s a bit of everything simultaneously. Your feet and body weight will compensate excess sail steering and vice versa. Remember at this speed every subtle move is relevant and changes everything.
20212 he must be very very old, but even though he was lightning fast!
you can't even tell how windy it is
In the side-camera shoot, there were two Boom, and on the other side, there was one Booom... 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Just need a cheetah to race now!
making me dizzy just watching
Where's my BVI brother Finian..Him and Dunkerbeck need a face off.
😳👍😎🏄♂️💪🐋
i'd recommend a face mask for that speed! where is that place with all that wind??
We filmed this in Namibia ( Lüderitz ) at the speed channel.
Different booms??
Yes, I notice that too. He/they must had multiple setups to try that day. Most people have no idea how terrifying it is to go at that speed, hooked in on such shallow water. I notice how he hug so close the the lee side that has the least ripples. A bad move will mean bad spill and break a few bones.
Would be so nice if they include the peak, and average wind speed of the day. The web says the wind average 35 knots+ at least 3 times a week during the event period.
HOw long in miles was that run? Did not know a drone could go that fast
Nice run Perry speedrecord 53.7 ,kn 🏆🌍🤟😎🖕
Perfekt! Sehr sympathischer Star, nur die Kamerführung nervt.
what the hell's he wearing a watch for? you'd think he's in a hurry or something
Added ballast. For speed record you actually need to have some body mass.
Of course; Björn is a legend, but this is max 80-85 km/h neeeeeever 100 km/h ...
Water looks to be about 2 feet deep. Don't fall
¡¡¡AAAAAAA¡ Como me caiga no me cogen ni con pinzas.
Well ive done 84kmph and i dont brag about it
Over 100kmh? Show us
lol
Just did
So Fast No Sound
I'm so sick of shitty drone footage.
