I want to give you a very special thanks for this! I got this machine 2nd hand and the previous owner took the whole thing apart and kept it in storage (I don't know why they did that but anyway). I was having trouble putting the brush attachment back in and you saved my life! haha Thank you again so much!

Thanks for this video.. just changed my belt in a breeze.. I would like to note the the right retainer clip with the little tab sticking out is meant to have the tab facing towards you.. mine was already broken, so I didn't see it beforehand and I spent 10 mins trying to put it in upside down and almost broke it again lol.. thanks again!! I'm a mommy of 5 so I know this struggle of saving and DOING on our own.. YOU ROCK!!

Last year my husband passed away suddenly. He was the handyman and carpenter in the family and could fix anything. Last week my Bissell carpet shampooer quit working and though it is very old, I couldn’t afford a new one. Thanks to your video I was able to fix it! I really appreciate your video!

Did you find them. They are coarse thread screws if you need replacements.

What are the 2 black things with springs on them, both were broken,there on both sides and protrude a bit on the bottom? I super glued them,we'll see how they hold up. The tool and floor clean selector shaft was also broken...I'll be a few hours on it for sure.
I believe you're referring to tabs/ springs that keep it locked upright when not in use.
Let's see.... tried the instructions that came with the belts. Nope. Go to their tutorial video, again no go. Came upon your video and Lo! The clouds parted, the sun shone again, and the heavenly hosts began to sing! 15 minutes and done. Thanks!

I have bissell proheat pet from walmart and my had the same problem as you Bissell powersteamer powerbrush my shampooer is the same body style as your shampooer except mine is purple
Yes. The have had red green purple blue black. They are basically all the same with slight changes in overall body size/style or features. Easy to repair on any of these once you can see how it's done. Especially since most of the parts are universal. I hope this helped you with yours.
