- In this video, I find a truly MASSIVE BASS, but I am very torn about how to feel about it! Let me know if you'd still call this a legit catch!
Gear Used: KastKing Speed Demon Pro rod, Kastking Megajaws reel!
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING, PLEASE LIKE, COMMENT, AND SUBSCRIBE! - Sport
Foul hooked or Not, Dude, that was a beautiful bass..
Thank you Timothy!!!!
@@TyPigPatrolreally nice catch but I would not count it but keep slaying them💪
I believe he bit the bait then shook it, then instantly got hooked in the tail...all in rapid session....pond monster buddy, yes sir 💪
Id sure like to think that is what happened, man! Thanks for watching!
Happened to me twice on two different species - bit and then hooks slipped and re caught the fish! Well done.
That is a beautiful bass man! Fish of a lifetime, foul hooked or not you got him in and I’m sure it was a very exciting moment! I caught a 5 pounder yesterday in a neighborhood pond and I thought that fish had a massive mouth, can’t even imagine what this one was like in person! Congrats again buddy!
I had a possible PB throw the hook yesterday in a neighborhood pond. It jumped clear out of the water and I didn't drop the rod tip.
Can we say that fish(10.78) eats almost everything in the pond. Nice! A pyg! Thank you, Brother!
I know it's not legal. But to land and hold it. Whoa!
Thank you Dana!
"Tail Hook" Ty 😂 what a beast
hahah I sure hope that name doesnt stick!
Catching a ten pound bass, a true high five moment.
haha thank you very much man!
What a Toad. You may not be able to say that you caught that Bass. But you can put it in the Encounters section. Its always cool to see a fish like that.
haha I like that, it was an honor just to encounter it!
Yes Sir, 10.78 what an Awesome Fish!
It’s a sixth sense trace 6 inch one of the shad colors maybe 4k shad
Thanks Grady!
Monster Texas Bass! I'm jealous of Preston😂😢. Thanks brother 💪👊
Thank you for watching Gil!
that hog will be just fine, another awesome catch.
Thanks brother!
@@TyPigPatrolwhat bait was that ?
Yeah that wound isn't bad. I caught one off a bed the other day that looked like it had been grabbed by an eagle and it had healed completely. Had scars on both sides.
Huge unit of a bass
Thanks Maurice!
Some solid fish Ty, always grinding my man!
Thanks for sharing your experiences.....
Thank you very much for watching pal!
@@TyPigPatrolwhat Swimbait are you using????
Now that's a way to start a day!!! Super great video ty
Thank you Marg!!!!!!!!!
Great fun! TFS!🎉

See, one CAN humanely weigh a fish.
You landed it that's a catch
Thanks Bercy!!!!
Lovely fishing day Preston 😂, loved it Peston 👍! Keep them awesome videos coming Preston💯! Got here new subscriber fisherman from Kazakhstan Preston😉🤩🖐
Love ur vids! What brand swim bait was that?
About time you get him back in the water.
Awesome Job mate great video😊
Thanks brother!
That catch would have been a good dream to me! Yeah--it's a legit catch!
Thanks Leonard!

Thank you very much! '
Another awesome video well done what an awesome bass

Great video! What swimbait were you using? Looked great in the water.
Awesome video!!!!
Thanks brother!
Caught, landed, and released. Count it.
TY that was a big beautiful Bass
What a catch. Foil hooked or not it was a fun catch I bet. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
You are the long-armed King when it comes to showing fish
It happens from time to time it happens to the best of us
Thanks Montana, thanks for watching!
@@TyPigPatrol Have you heard of a neighborhood named Grand Mission in Richmond
Nice work Gents - can you tell me the lure you used for that big bass?
3:33. Dude took off his shoes and socks and I thought he still had white socks on.
Double digit, and the best release ever. That’s what I took away from it.
We’ve only just begun…to fish🎵
haha thank you very much Roy, just happy to hold a fish like that!
good god, still a wonder to behold the majestic water pig!!!
You really pissed that momma Bass off, that’s all🤠Lots of swipers and nippers telling that bait to gtfoh 😂 Very stout fish! I’ve been catching some decent ones off beds on the 6.5 draw recently.
Hey, you’re throwing him back or her, congratulations on the heckuva fish
Thank you very much Charlie!
Good times to be had for all🎣
for sure, thanks pal!
I’d cry if that happened to me because I would feel so guilty counting it and so regretful if I didn’t. That fish could’ve swiped at it to attempt to scare it out of the bed and hit the lure with its tail. Nice fish!
Agreed man you get it!!
The difference between a 6 and a 10 is massive. That 10.78 was so wide. It was probably only 24” long.
you are right, huge difference that 4 lbs makes!
@@TyPigPatrol I caught a 6 today that was 22” long. And it would’ve looked like a dink by that fish 😂
Every angler’s nightmare: biggin getting hurt…….every dirty rotten snagger’s wet dream: this bass 5:09
That was a helluva weird bite to turn into that, accidents happen & at least it’s healthy great catch ty…😂❤
I hooked the world record largemouth in a pond and when I landed it it magically turned in to a 10plus lb carp that was snagged in the tail
That’s every bass fisherman dream
Hey Ty did you guys have the same rod&reel in this video ?
Yes we did!!
I would love to just see a bass that big live, let alone hook one. Never seen one bigger than 6lb here in Kansas
nice
Hey Ty you have probably answered this before but do you ever eat fish or anything from the water? Not criticizing just curious man
Absolute beast! I don't count snagged fish as a legit catch just because the IGFA doesn't. I also have a question for you. We were jigging for tuna and one of our rods nobody was using went off. My grandfather grabbed the rod while I reeled my line in. He held it for 30 seconds before handing it to me where I fought the fish for the next 40 minutes. Does that still count as my fish?
He didn’t snag it the fish was hooked in the mouth and threw it into its tail and it’s not a world record or state record or anything so why does what the Igfa says matter at all
@@liam2322It doesn’t. I just base it off of what the requirements they have are. Most tournaments I’ve fished in also don’t count fish that are snagged. Not sure what the rules would be if it was hooked in the mouth and then thrown into the body.
I personally dont get all wrapped up in who caught it, for some of the bigger fish like tuna or gar or marlin or anything like that, such a team effort is required so who really cares who caught it? but if you did all the work then you caught it in my opinion.
@@TyPigPatrolThanks for answering my question! Good luck this year!
Snagged fish feel insane. I fly fish a lot. Snagging carp on a tenkara rod is scary. Pray for your rod type moments. About to try the river here for hopefully smallies or catfish with flies, but I'm not picky.
Dam dude im still looking for an 8lb fish nice catch
Hey Ty ! you have not got one that big in a while ?
Not since early fall! Thanks for watching!
What part of the U.S.A. are you catching 11 pound largemouths out of community ponds?
Is this South Florida?
Very nice day on the water.
Dude I hope i get to meet you one day and take you fishing out in my area i have some amazing locations for fishing you'd like and yes I'm a real person lol but idk if you'll be alright with traveling to Oklahoma but we got some big bass and crappie here and you inspired me with dragging a crank bait through moss and catch bigger fish and i was catching white bass with a crawdad color crank but if you read this let me know if you'll be alright one day with coming out here and fishing with me
Nice, almost caught a bigun
That was a monster fish regardless!
sweet! fouled hooked or not. sometimes thats how the dice rolls.
If you’re just fishing for pleasure the if it “counts” is a personal call.
seems weird to weigh any fish by the gillplate, is that common in texas?
Does anyone know the Swimbait that he was using it was like hard body with a rubber tail.
Gawd dang that’s a big bass
Thanks brother!
One big fish or a small submarine
hahha basically!
Dude where can I buy one of those Speed demon casting rods!?😂
Damn BBBRRRROOOOO 🤘🏻💪🏻🤘🏻💪🏻 BADASS I still say a snag is a catch You still caught it?!?!
haha I guess Ill take it! Thanks for atching CCH!
@@TyPigPatrolabsolutely love your videos my man 🤘🏻💪🏻🤘🏻💪🏻🤘🏻💪🏻🤘🏻💪🏻
I’ve had bass tail wack rattle traps tons of times, one night I hooked and landed almost 10 all hooked in the same spot…. On the side of the tail, every time it felt like a massive thump like a rattle trap bite should
dude wtf that pond is stacked
Uhhhhh if u didn't see the fish aka sight fishing in the elite series that counts bro 100 percent great catch that counts my brother
Nice bass .
Bruiser! I’m sure it was the same fish that tagged your bait( in the mouth) right before he came back on your next cast to tail swat it in retaliation. 👍🏻
💜🎣
Thanks brother!
You cannot control the actions of a fish, beautiful catch, what a hog!
Dude, I love your videos and am a subscriber so please don't think I'm a Karen getting up in your grill, but you've got to get these fish back into the water sooner. Warm water lakes where you fish hold less oxygen, and the fish is exhausted when you land it, so it is already significantly depleted of blood oxygen when you are admiring it for the camera. Studies of tagged bass from tournament releases have shown an average mortality rate of 30% or higher, even though those fish were horsed into the boat with the minimum fight and kept in an aerated live well. Brain damage occurs when oxygen runs low in the blood stream, so every second an exhausted fish is handled out of the water does damage. Just because they swim off of their own accord doesn't mean they are okay and going to survive, as the tournament studies prove.
That you love these fish is not in question, and we all love sharing your adventures. I hope my comments are received in the spirit they are offered. All the best!
serious question, in your opinion, does placing them in the water from between weight and pictures ect help, do you think? Thank you for going about your suggestion in such a great way btw.
Yeah, giving them as much time in the water between pics will help, as they get some oxygen back into their systems. I love ogling a hawg as much as the next guy and you sure find more than your share (props here), but the quickest return to the water is always best. Thanks for being a class act & sportsman.@@TyPigPatrol
I held my 11lb2oz largemouth like this and a guy told me because of that my fish was only 5 lbs,it was 30 inches long, caught on Lake Okeechobee in Florida
To bad it' injured hope that hook didn't go through to the spine , my opinion a foul hook fish doesn't count so you gotta go for another personal Best I'm glad you called it that way. glad it swam away.
I'd take that fish, bigger than I've ever caught
Thanks for watching Jerry!
I hear club soda will stop bleeding on fish if you snag them weird (gut hook, gills…etc).
You should always carry a scale, that would bring the interest in your catches to the next level.
Uh… did you watch the video?
@@madmattdigs9518 yes, that's the whole point of my comment. The scale helped make the catch more interesting than every other catch he makes, which are all done without one.
@@DMBVR4 oh, I understand, I’m sorry I misunderstood your comment. My bad
Yeah the snag definitely drops it down. But to catch a DD at all is a blessing. It has to count for something haha. Its whatever it is to you ya know. Beutiful bass no matter what and rverybody could agree on that.
Beautiful fish! 👍🏽
Sucks that it was a snag.
She probably swiped it and got hooked.
If it wouldn't count in a tourney it doesn't count IRL. But you know where she is so the next time you run into her should be EPIC!
If it was snagged unintentionally I I think it counts as a catch you felt the bump and set the hook. Great job
absolutely not
Couple years ago I snagged a state record smallmouth probably close to 8 lbs. In the back with my little crankbait, by myself so I missed grabbing her on the 1st chance, then she dove and pulled off, woulda been a good picture...I wouldn't have claimed it if I landed it legally cause the lake would get pounded relentlessly if I did
Hope no one knows where this pond is cause most would keep a big bass like that
Why would you keep it?
@@oliewray8357 that's why I say hope no one knows cause most would. Even if it was caught in a huge lake or river I'd get pictures and all measurements to get a mount but some would keep it to say they got it just cause. Just cause they're assholes
That poor fish has been caught so many times.
At least the future is good in that pond for the bass seeing tat girl
agreed, for sure, how have the crappie been for you Sir?
@@TyPigPatrol Not good at all so far they are still beyond reach in the deeper water
@@TyPigPatrol I do not like to use minnows but maybe this year I may have to. I have caught a loner big one here and there but not in numbers
I come from a time long before you could take video of every catch. So, it would come down to honesty. All people had was a photo. I don’t really care if it counts as a catch or not. It’s awesome just to see a fish that size.
30 years ago someone would have mounted that fish with the bait still hanging from the tail. 😂
That’s alright Ty we know you didn’t mean to
Thanks David!!
Where is this?
Hi guys. Helpful tip needed. How the heck do you always get the hooks out with your bare hand without getting impaled. I have been fishing for years and would never ever put my fingers in the mouth of a flailing fish with a barbed razor sharp hook in its mouth. I am a piano player , so maybe I have good reason not to do that or I'm just a wimp. 😊
Anytime trebles are involved I’m using pliers. Just not worth the risk.
I guess I have been fishing so long that I can tell a fish's body language and can tell right when they are about to thrash, and act accordingly. but yes, id recommend pliers. hah
Thanks for the info. just wondering if there was a trick to it. I don't think I'm that good with fish body language so I will save my piano fingers and stick to the pliers. Nice video. btw I would take credit for that catch. The fish went after your lure, missed his mouth and caught him by the tail. At least take 3/4 credit 😀 Just sayin' @@TyPigPatrol
I found a dead 15 lb bass with a swim bait in it
It was my lost swimbait
It was the bass I caught last year
7:21 because i never re-tie.
I mean…you still landed her. I’ll allow it.
Dude don't get excited when he get a 10lbs bass
Fish in hand counts regardless how it’s hooked unless your intent was to snag it.
Snagged is unfortunate but still counts she swung on your bait in a blind cast and u landed it ✅
Haven’t you caught a 13 plus out of one of these neighborhood ponds? On your lunch break.
I have, about 6 years ago
If you ate it it counts so 🤷♀️definitely counts
Preston! Preston Meyers?
how could tell how a bass does things
A snag is a legit catch in my book as long as it wasn’t intentional also something tore that bass’s mouth up. You sure you didn’t get her in the mouth and she spit it and got tangled in your line and hooked in the tail?
I hope you are right pal, thanks for watching!
