I carried the “.380 Magnum” (9mm) for 28 years out of a 34 year career in LE. The other 6 years, I carried “.45AARP.” But now recently retired, I prefer .40 and .357Sig exclusively. Nothing wrong with “380 magnum,” but I think the “10mm special” (.40) is just a harder hitting round. I like that fact. I laugh at people that will say, “.40 is too snappy,” yet they’re never turning down the chance to load up with a +P+ round in their 9mm. The .40 is for the adults. 😉😉😉
Love the .40!!! Keep my Springfield XD40 Service 4 inch on my nightstand loaded with 165gr Speer Gold Dot JHP, and my carry gun is Glock 27 loaded with the same.

I can't believe I did this, but I finally decided that for an early birthday present, I was going to go ahead and stick my toe into the .40 world. I am admittedly a Glock fan boy, because I shoot them well, and I was already well heeled in 45 and 9, with 10mm as well. But I decided that I wanted a 27, partly based on watching your videos, I can't lie lol. I wanted the extra power in something basically the same size as my 26s. So far not regretting it, I wouldn't want to shoot a 500 round match or something in one day, but I didn't mind The recoil and I found it to be very accurate. I put a pierce grip on one of the mags like i did with the 26s, and swap the sights and back play like I always do. So far it has run flawless, and I've now gone ahead and entered it into my rotation. It fits most of my 26 / 19 holsters okay, so we'll see how we make out. Thanks SPN!
I love the 40 round. Over the past couple of years I have gotten away from it and gone to the more affordable and plentiful 9mm round. But I have plenty of 40 cal for a rainy day. :)

Mi pequeña mamba negra es, una excelente camarada en verano... ...y en invierno va bien en el bolsillo de mi enorme campera de plumas. Ambas con miras Truglo y retén de corredera extendido. El único problema a mis 73 años es... ...que "me gustan todas" estas "amigas" que la buena vida me brindó. Este video me dá otra palmada en la espalda, por no ir a la "manada" y quedarme sin el "sablazo cosaco" que el el .40 SW. Buen informe señor...✌️
Imagine a Glock with an NP3 finish on all the slide internals as well as on the trigger bar and minus connector. “Self-lubricating”, easy to clean, and minimal friction for a smooth trigger pull and internal operation
@@spnfirearmsthanks man, run the 10 round factory mags on my 27 but you are a big advocate of the henning base plates and I like the smaller footprint but more capacity. Thinking about switching over to some liberty civil defense for edc.
If you handload and run a barrel with full chamber support you can easily achieve 10mm ballistics with the .40 S&W. The new Generation 5 .40s come with barrels that have near full chamber support. I run a 200 Grain hardcast at 1250fps out of a stock gen 5 Glock 22. That's my woods load, I have a 180 grain @ 1300fps. The gen 5's come with near fully supported barrels and a 20lb recoil spring along with a heavier slide, its a better stock setup over a stock Glock 20 IMO.

The pierce grip - pg-42733 if you cut the triangle plate shorter it allows plus 2 40sw and 3 9mm

Whenever I use factory Glock 23 in my Glock 23 with or without X-Grip I have failures. Any ideas I would like to carry that way but no reliable ❓

You should get a Glock 34 or 35 added to your collection, l started carrying a Glock 34 MOS for duty very sweet shooting gun.
40 is the main caliber I Carry very effective and for me controllable in a small package
