I remember my wife and I seeing Batman Begins in imax back when it came out. One of the best imax experiences I’ve had. Congrats to the winners!
I regret so much not seeing it in theaters at the time. I just didn’t think it was going to be good lol. I’m happy that I was wrong. It must of been incredible in IMAX.
@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Nolan made a movie in 2005 that can appeal to a wider audience: grown ups, as well as kids. Kids who were 6-12, were actually kids old enough and was their first introduction to batman when begins came out in 2005.
I agree that Batman Begins may need another upgrade but disagree with The Dark Knight and especially The Dark Knight Rises 4K Blu-ray. The Dark Knight Rises is the best looking 4K Blu-ray and is sharp from beginning to end. There isn’t any DNR on those movies so I don’t know what you would want him to do to make it look better than it already does.
He has used different film stock throughout his career so not every movie is gonna look as sharp as Tenet or Oppenheimer. Not trying to be mean but i think we fans should be grateful that he was even involved in the 4K restoration to make these movies as good as possible. Overall love the review
To add context I did not see The Dark Knight Rises 4K Blu-ray review at this moment till now lol
It’s no worries! I was going to say I agree The Dark Knight Rises holds up incredibly well and is by far the Best Nolan 4k from that original run. I just watched Interstellar last night and it’s even better than that.
The issue isn’t with Nolan and how he shot the film, that’s actually why I think some of these could use an upgrade because he shoots on film so that means combining that with our modern tech it will look better. The early 4Ks processing especially on the early Nolan 4ks has the saturation to high and it creates to warm of a color and makes the skin look unnatural at points. The Imax scenes are all ready perfect. I can’t see any way those get improved but the standard 4K scenes, I think with modern tech would clean all of that up and make for even better 4Ks. I agree they’re not bad at all, but that is why i’m looking back on these to see how they hold up 7 years later. If these hot new scans, I would happily buy them again. I love most Nolan films.
I think for me this 4K was solid overall with the picture quality and I agree it needs a upgrade and a hopefully Dolby Atmos
I really liked the 5.1 mix but would like a upgrade also
I agree I still think it’s a really good 4K but it’s starting to show its age now. It’s crazy how fast tech ages.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia yeah especially the other 4Ks that are starting to show
Do you happen to know any that shows their age?
We’ve been told by so many that The Dark Knight is the best of the series. My favorite has always been Batman Begins, though. And, I believe The Dark Knight Rises just edges in at second place.
I used to think The Dark Knight was the best but the more you watch it you realize the flaws. Batman Begins was the opposite for where it’s only grown on me on rewatches.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia I have the same experience with Man of Steel. Not overly impressed on first viewing, but I’ve grown to love it on repeated viewings.
@1165mac That’s why it’s always good to rewatch films. Especially if you only saw it in theaters. You never know you might have overvalued or undervalued a film. I know my opinion has changed on a lot of movies.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Yep, happened to me many times. My favorite film of all time is Magnolia, but I thought it was just average on first viewing.
@1165mac That I understand though. That movie overwhelmed me the first time I saw it. On repeat viewings you get the pacing of it and get its themes. Then you can appreciate the film and all of its great performances.
Dang I heard this 4K was controversial about the contrast being more orange?
Well that’s how it was shot to make this burnt orange look to it. It makes skin look bad in certain scenes because on the 4K they definitely earned it up more so that becomes more noticeable. It definitely could use a 2024 scan in my opinion.
Ah I see makes sense.
For me yes it does make the scene more brighter and skin tones more orange. I would also like a better picture maybe a new scan maybe
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia also maybe a Dolby Atmos track maybe please
@RougeOne2006 I think these Nolan 4Ks at east the original ones of his that came to 4K were using early tech to transfer them to 4K. I don’t think WB had their transfers at a 100% yet. I wouldn’t mind rebuying this with another scan. I’ve all ready bought it 4 time lollll
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia hm good point
That's true about the 4K it was the earliest 4K release and they have been getting more dated recently
Dark knight is probably the best superhero movie ever made 🎥 📼👌🏻 good video mate 👌🏻
It’s hard to debate that even if it’s not my favorite but it’s such a high quality amazing film. Thanks buddy I appreciate the compliment!
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia but ask me on another day could be batman 89 or returns lol 😆
@stuartgeorge2324 89 will always be my choice loll. To be fair though that’s just one of my all time favorite films.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia dark Knight is such a spectacle to watch looks fantastic 😍
@stuartgeorge2324 That’s why even though 89 is my favorite and I love every aspect of it. The Dark Knight is one of those special films. It’s perfect on every level.
Congrats to the winners! Batman Begins is a great film!
It really is an amazing movie!!
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMediait is indeed. Such an awesome film, one of my favorite movies. When batman begins came out, Nolan made a blockbuster like this can appeal to a wider audience for grown ups, as well as kids. Kids who were 6-12, who were actually kids old enough to watch this movie when it came out in 2005 and was probably their first introduction to batman.
@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Kids who were actually kids 6-12 old enough during the premiere of batman begins and had a better chance see it in the theater in 2005.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia I was the right age (6-12) as a kid back in 2005 when begins premiered
@isaiahyinko7182 The perfect age!
Batman forever was ok
But it was no guardians
We will never get another Guardians! Have you watched it on your new Tv yet?
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia
Not yet……. It’s a shout factory (early) release…… so I’m hoping it looks real good
@lordrayden3045 I just watched that blu ray last years it’s very solid. The Guardians never looked so good lol
