Sage Cream Cheese Dip/Spread

  • Create a flavourful Pesto Cream Cheese board, spread for a sandwich or topping for a baked potato. This simple spread/dip is easy to make and endlessly versatile by simply changing your choice of herbs e.g. basil, rosemary, parsley.
    WHIPPED SAGE CREAM CHEESE DIP/SPREAD
    250 g cream cheese - softened to room temperature
    1/3 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
    1 tbsp lemon juice - if using fresh lemon juice add some of the zest
    1/4 cup finely sliced fresh sage
    salt and pepper to taste
    Place softened cream cheese into a bowl and whip with a hand mixer until smooth, about 3 - 4 minutes.
    Add Greek yogurt or sour cream, lemon juice, finely sliced sage to the cream cheese and mix well to combine.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper and additional sage or lemon juice if desired.
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
    Serving suggestions : with crackers or vegetable sticks to use as a dip.
