Fruit Salad with Limoncello

Fresh fruit salad with a grownup alcoholic twist. Spiked with a splash of Limoncello and fresh herbs to create a dessert to share with that special someone or next celebration dinner.
Endlessly variable and scalable, let your creativity free and make this recipe your own with your favourite seasonal fruit and choice of herbs.
This recipe makes enough for 2 large servings or 4 smaller portions that can be served with a few shortbread biscuits.
FRESH FRUIT SALAD with LIMONCELLO
3 - 4 strawberries (cut into quarters)
handful of seedless grapes (cut in half)
1 kiwi fruit (peeled, cut into slices and halved)
1 apple cut into chunky cubes.
1 peach (stone removed and cut into slices)
2 plums (stone removed and cut into slices)
1/4 cup Limoncello
OPTIONAL
3 - 4 fresh mint leaves finely slices
1 - 2 fresh basil leaves finely sliced
1 tbsp flaked almonds
Place all fruit into a bowl, add Limoncello and stir gently to coat the fruit well with the Limoncello.
Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Just before serving, remove the fruit salad from the refrigerator.
Add chopped herbs and almond flakes, if using, and stir gently.
Serve immediately with a drizzle of the fruit juice from the bowl.
