- French President Emmanuel Macron drew a line in the sand, refusing to say that he would never send French troops to Ukraine, as Russia continues its full-scale invasion. Some say Macron went too far. Others applauded the French leader.
Kyiv Post asked people on the streets of Paris and London whether or not they supported sending European troops to defend Ukraine. Most of the people Kyiv Post spoke to were not quite ready to commit European troops to Ukraine under the current circumstances. Some said that it should've already been done.

Putin did not threaten to use nuclear weapons. He reminded the West that Russia also has nuclear weapons (and later, that they are more numerous, more modern, have no equivalents in the West and that many are unstoppable), that Russia will use all means at her disposal to defend her people and territory and that Russia's published nuclear doctrine says when those weapons would be used.

In January 2022, Zelensky signed the order to assemble a 40,000 strong task force to 'take back Donbas'. On 16th Feb '22, the OSCE recorded more than 40 ceasefire breaches, as the UA began shelling Donbas, rising to more than 2,000 a day on 20th, 21st and 22nd. On 24th Feb, as requested under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Russia stepped in to stop it. This would be when you would send US troops to allow Kiev to continue the genocide, is it?

The Problem is: Sending troops alone would not solve the equipment issues, and maybe even make it worse. Although the idea may sound appropriate at a first glance, the various consequences must be considered. This not only includes supplying the troops, but also taking precautions for possible retaliation of P°°tin in the countries the troops were sent from. And the latter will also include terrorist attacks to the infrastructure and the population, because this is what a coward like him would do.

Everything should be on the table. We need congress approve the aid package right away. We shouldn't have any stipulations on Ukraine aid. Americans should vote out pro-Putin republicans. We should have NATO troops ready on the border. Russia should be kicked off the UN security council.
French here. It's a honest poll. French opinion is very divided... thanks to russian propaganda - and a real lack of knowledge of what Poutine's regime is.

I like to defend the French, we Germans are in no way different and our plurality makes us stronger. Sadly I have to agree with your findings of Russian meddling on our political process and to propagandize the Russian diaspora living in the west which are even more vulnerable to Russian influence and that is in no way a condemnation. We need to build the will to do what is difficult and right instead off living of peace dividends that are long consumed.

@@JonROlsen I already have it on July 15, 2022. Not everyone lost their courage. The Ukrainian embassy in my country told me that they did not have a training program for civilians. So I support the French volunteers who are on the front. They are our pride.

In WWII , France gave up to Germany almost without fight, UK was much more brave.
NATO should have sent in troops from the very start. Place them along the Northern border to protect Ukraine, not to attack Russia or Russian troops unless they are themselves attacked then all bets are off. This would release Ukraine's troops to the front line. A couple of Divisions in the North and an enhanced Brigade near Moldova (Transnistria). If those being interviewed knew what war was really like, if they really had any understanding of what Putin is and will do; they may understand that we cannot escalate this situation any more; it is already full scale war. There is only one way to stop this, and that is to defeat this invasion of the West by the Terrorist regime in Russia.
Most of these responses are hedged by hoping war will not come to them, which is totally understandable, as nobody wants to go to war, including myself. It all boils down to the hope that Putin will not attack NATO directly. Unfortunately if the west waits to find out, it is likely going to be to late by then. So being resolute now maybe the only real option available..
Nobody in his or her right mind want war. - But the question is not if want to go to war, but if we are prepared to go to war, when war comes to us. Nobody in the EU or in NATO is prepared, and I am not talking about supply, stockpiles, manufacturing or training. I mean we are mentally not prepared to even stand up and defend ourselves. It takes time, money and efforts to get prepared.

It is a difficult issue. If one NATO country like Francs decides to send troups to Ukraine, what happens then if Russia sends a missile direction Paris. Then all NATO countries are at war. So I don't know if that will work. I personally wish NATO would send troups though or enough weapons if that is impossible

Is the all the land loss really because of lack of arms, or is it the lack of Zaluzhnyi...... We all know the reason for the firing was popularity. That makes Zelensky a horrible leader. Zaluzhnyi was waiting for F-16 to push hard. A very smart idea when you respect your servicemen lives.
