Yo me too! I was rewatching this part of the episode and I was like I wanna see the whole set! His whole set was about racism dropping the N word! Haha Russell was a killer back then!
he said like 30 times word nigga in 7 mins in front of bunch of black ppl..and they laughed and like it so much (as do I by the way)..if that is not highest form of art idk what it is..
Its called "putting jokes in proper context." But you can only get away with it if you are a skilled comedian, unlike Cramer's on-stage drunk breakdown.
He's ballsy, but it's great and not cheap because he actually grew up around Blacks and knows the culture. He knows how far he can go and how to make what could be sensitive material, actually funny. I'm sure 97% of all other White comedians would never attempt doing anything close to this. Louis CK has come close.
@@linneausmsiska1184black comics have majority black audience. They have a lot of 'black humour' so of course they'll have their audience, same with white comics and their audience. Russell is Indian and ofc he has a lot of Indian audience as well but definitely the most diverse audiences out there
His comedy came from his own experience which is the same experiences as the audience. He's a master of knowing his audience. His international tour showed how he worked the crowd around the world. They are worth the watch.
@MrWalleye Brotha he ain't racist. Theres a difference between racial jokes and racist jokes. Racial jokes are jokes that aren't hateful, may in fact be endearing. Racist jokes are meant to hurt peoples feelings maliciously. Russell is the kinda comedian that has dealt with racism since he was a kid, & many of his friends dealt with it too, many of them black.
Is that not what his material is focused on? Racism and stereotypes? You fail to see that Russell actually tries to unite people of different races/cultures...and they did laugh, so he obviously made it work here.
Being latino (and being proud of it) Rusell makes comedy on real aspects of all race. I haven't find anything offensive against any race in all his videos until now. I believe that what he does is a description of what we are in our different communities and origins (and which makes us rich as human beings) in a funny way. :)
That's because the ethnic/ migrant story is similar in many aspects bro. He gets it because he's one of us. That's why he's so loved and why his comedy is timeless
Bro, that was the most clever way to drop the n-bomb in a comedy set 😂. First, he never uses his own voice to say it. Its always someone else saying it. 2nd, he used sand-n-word as an insult to himself. That set was a Master class. He could have lost the audience at any point but he didn't. He kept it relateable as hell. He built up so much go faith and clevernes that he could just say the n-bomb freely by the end.
I think it was a smart move. Job of the comedian is to make the audience laugh. First you have to make the connection to the audience. I think he really embodied the Def Jam style and put his own spin on it.
Came here for the flagrancy 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 not disappointed!

Its ungodly peak level master artistry of comedy to pull off what he did. Up there as the greatest ever to master their profession.
might be one of the ballsiest comedy sets ever. GOAT level

Russel KILLED IT.
Has anyone noticed that in his shows there is people of all origins always? Other comedians have their own audience but not so diverse as this guy.
Not really even black comedians have diverse audience
