  • Taking a refreshing dip at Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park, a natural gem of an area located in the wilderness by the Suwannee River. The area has several miles of trails which highlight geological features along the way such as sinkholes, underwater caves and karst windows. After a nice hike here I like to take a swim and cool off. It’s fun to snorkel around the spring and see underwater features. It’s very relaxing and the water stays at around 70 degrees year round. The area is popular for cave diving so you often see divers swimming in and out of the caves at the springs. The underwater cave system here is one of the largest in the U.S. and award winning state park. Enjoy the adventures and thank you for watching! Please be safe and respectful of the sites here at the park.

i drove here with my friends a month or two ago and the whole think was flooded all the way up to the first stair of the 1st spring ! I also came here one time after hurricane and there was like 40 fallen trees to maneuver around to get to the springs.

This park is mainly used by professional cave divers there aren't a lot of parking spaces here. I was here before the hurricane hit last year and the spring was in very bad shape

I tried to visit this park a few months ago.
Drove over from Jacksonville to find it was
closed...so I never saw past the entrance gate.
Is the walking trail open now?
