In this video, I will be showing you the process I use to paint trucks at home. I will also discuss how much it cost me to get started in this business.

Appreciate this video series my friend. I'm just now considering investing in a small side business doing just this same thing. I have painted two of my cars and the experience alone is worth it to me. It's not always dollars and cents. Knowledge is priceless. I've even set it up to where I'll be spraying a few cars for free. Friends and family members but still. Great video
Great content bro! I have a 91 GMC Sierra stepside that I'm building up. I came across your video and gave me more confidence to spray my own truck. You got my sub and 👍
This is exactly what I’m doing now I got all the body work just about done . Starting with no experience I can say I have patience to do this . After my truck is done I have my dads I want to do as well so maybe that’ll help me get my feet wet . Thanks for the video bro definitely a confidence booster for people like me wanting to start 💯
This is a Real one! Dude thank you so much, not only for the body work tips but for having such a great attitude and getting me back on track painting my dodge 1500 in my driveway. The haters had me doubting myself. After seeing another like minded individual doing what the talkers say you can't do, i'm once again ready to handle it. p.s. that shot of the wincheld with the (I think its a) registration sticker on 4 - 20 was i'll AF
Great video and best of luck with you side hustle Funnily enough I have been ‘filling and sanding’ today on my daughters old Land Rover that is now mine! Just completed the metal work now attempting to make it look ‘pretty’. Looking forwards to your next video you got a subscriber..
Thanks for the follow bro!! Love to hear your starting the journey. You got this. One tip I would give you is to make sure you read the tds for every product you use. I made the mistake of following general steps online but every paint product has a specific tds and it shows you exactly how to use it. Tds stands for technical data sheet. You can Google this for any product. I hope this helps and good luck!!
You can sand the original paint down until you get to a good layer of paint. If you have any rust, I would sand just that area down to the metal. Hope this helps!
What’s up bro. After I finished all of the body/filler work, I got a da sander and used 220 grit on the entire truck. That’s a good grit for high build primer.
I would love to learn how to paint, I bought a heavy duty compressor, paint guns! I need to just jump in and paint my 92 Camaro and stop being a wuss haha
you have great skills, but try to start pulling dents instead of filling them. Using bondo just makes it harder for the next guy. Ive own multiple vehicles when bondo was a huge issue, its gonna fail no matter how good of a job you do.
What’s up bro! Thanks for watching. So primer is okay to shoot in the open because if you get debris in it while painting, you can sand it out. Your going to sand the entire truck after this step so it’s okay. Hope this helps and good luck!
hey man Ive been doing paint jobs like this for the neighbors and friends, etc. Im looking to create a legit side hustle with advertising. Any idea of how to market this? obviously my whole thing is that im way cheaper than a bodyshop but do about 95% as good as one. honestly with cut and buffing i can get to that 100%. just wondering how i should explain this to potential customers. thank you!
Saw you on tiktok bro, this video is something I’ve always wanted to do but didn’t really know where to start 🤝🏻

What kind of compressor did you use and paint?
Do I need to get my cab to bare metal ? Or can I sand original paint to a certain amount ? It’s a 68 c10
You can sand the original paint down until you get to a good layer of paint. If you have any rust, I would sand just that area down to the metal. Hope this helps!
I have a 2011 chevy Silverado need repaint. How can I reach out to you?

Hey bro what did you sand the whole truck with ? After putting filler to the dents
What’s up bro. After I finished all of the body/filler work, I got a da sander and used 220 grit on the entire truck. That’s a good grit for high build primer.
@@nextcoat thank you bro good explanation video , one more question did you use 80 grit to get to bare metal where the dents were at ?
Yes! 80 grit is good. Make sure to keep the da sander flat. You got this 🤙
@@nextcoat thank you bro keep up the amazing content 🙌
Thank you 🙏
I prefer rage gold but damn it jumped in price lately
Everything is so expensive 😩
In southern cal....can i get a price if youre nearby on an OBS truck?
I’m in Houston 😬
I was told that it’s not good to bondo over painted area because of future bonding issues?
You sand it before applying the bondo so that it can properly adhere. You don't just put bondo over unsanded paint but that's not what he did here
Mane bro get @ me I got a Chevy Silverado I be down to. Let u paint it to just lmk how much $$
I would love to learn how to paint, I bought a heavy duty compressor, paint guns! I need to just jump in and paint my 92 Camaro and stop being a wuss haha

Where do you get your paint from ?
Finish master 🤙
you have great skills, but try to start pulling dents instead of filling them. Using bondo just makes it harder for the next guy. Ive own multiple vehicles when bondo was a huge issue, its gonna fail no matter how good of a job you do.
How can i purchase me one of those sanding blocks?
Online or a local paint shop!
Dig your outlook A+ on that
Thank you so much 🙏
The truck is so dope I just bought a 🥳 1991 OBS CHEVY SHORT BED 350 Motor ‼️ HMU 🤙🏽 🤟🏽 CC WHERE DID YOU GET THE SS WHEELS ?

I don’t have a Facebook bro but I do have an Instagram!
aye im in texas bro you should bondo my car ill pay ya
Hey man, I have a question. Why didn’t you close off your paint booth? Wouldn’t that cause dirt and debris to get in there with the wind?
You don’t have to close the booth when shooting primer. If you get dirt or debris in it, you will eventually sand it out in the next step.
What’s up bro! Thanks for watching. So primer is okay to shoot in the open because if you get debris in it while painting, you can sand it out. Your going to sand the entire truck after this step so it’s okay. Hope this helps and good luck!
