Oh my goodness!! As a type 1 diabetic myself I completely understand how crazy this is! Literally my biggest fear! I am so glad you are okay! I’ve also recently had a scary hospital experience related to diabetes but I guess the opposite. I was sick and had scarily high ketones and my heart rate was unusual , so I went in an ambulance and stayed at the hospital for 11+ hours. It was when there was a peak of covid cases in my area so I wasted allowed visitors and they also didn’t have any hospital beds, so I was sat in a waiting room chair for the entire time and unfortunately the doctors were quite rude and made me feel like it was my fault this happened.
Your mum is so right! “If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything”
Literally any diabetes content would be great! (Whatever you are comfortable with sharing) I love watching T1D day in the life’s. makes me feel not alone! ❤

I’ve had a few instances where I have almost passed out or I basically became hysterical. Those were pretty scary moments. I basically need to eat every 3 hours to make sure that I’m at a good level. Those symptoms you were experiencing like being lethargic, confused, nauseous, dizzy, we’re all things I’ve experienced at some point due to being low. Basically what I’m trying to say is that I understand how you were feeling. Please take care of yourself

It has reminded me of the value of health and the major impact it has on life itself, and most importantly that God is constantly looking after for us especially when we forget to look after ourselves. The fact that you were so low but you sustained until your brother came, until the paramedics came was just miraculous. God is so good.

Hi Sadie, i can’t believe you had to go through this. as a type one diabetic, i can imagine how scary and traumatizing this must’ve been but also, as you mentioned, very eye opening. i’m happy you have found the t-slim pump because i really feel that it is so beneficial and seriously makes life so much easier for most people!! i know you’ve said in past videos but where did you get your diabetic necklace? im only 15 but have been getting more independent and going places alone more and know the importance of having a medical piece of jewelry in case a similar situation happens to me. i really like the necklace that you’ve shown before and was wondering where you got it and or if you have a specific place to buy from that you recommend. i love you so much sadie and you are such a huge inspiration to me as a diabetic, youtuber and young woman. keep doing what you do ❤

Sadie, Im so sorry this happened to you! As a type 1 diabetic myself, this inspired me to start being more aware of my blood sugar, especially considering that i usually just brush it off and not think about how diabetes is quite literally fatal if I dont take care of it. Hope you're doing well!!

Hey Sadie idk why but your video came into my home page. Something made me click on it & I am floored! I’m also a type 1 diabetic since 9 years old (I’m 32) now. I have passed out many times & once I broke my nose. The Nausea & feeling terrible after “getting with it” is awful. When I pass out I also convulse. I wear an insulin pump & I love it but as you said it can be frustrating to wear. Keep it up girl you got this!! So many people don’t understand how your brain as you said you can’t think when your blood sugar is low or lousy you feel when it’s high. Sending you much love! ❤😊

Hi Sadie❤️ I’m also 20 and have been type 1 since I was 7. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m inspired by you every day and seeing other type 1’s in the wild is so important. I’m so happy that you are okay. I’m on the same pump/dexcom set up as you, and I can’t say enough good things about it - especially the control IQ features. You are amazing and I’m the biggest fan of your videos! Been here since day 1!!
I also used to be a competitive dancer and have a super similar glasses prescription as you haha! Twins🥰

Hi Sadie. I completely understand what you are going through my mom is a diabetic as well. Never feel bad that youre the girl getting gurneyed out into the ambulance, they are there to help you and it may feel crazy but things will get better soon!! always prioritize your life and body first before trying to impress other people and go live life. Yes fun is important but it is necessary to take care of yourself first and whoever makes you feel bad about are complete fake losers who can kiss the ground for all they want. You're an amazing person and I include you in my prayers for ur safe and well recovered healing. I'm actually a freshmen in college whose pursuing medicine (cardiacsurgery) and I own a technology business and I completely understand the pressure and stress of life and I want you to take it one step at a time knowing we are all here for you!!!!

I moved out last year and my flatmate is also diabetic (can't remember if its T1 or T2). She went the other way and had extremely high blood sugars that weren't coming down. She was so nauesous and dizzy and didn't feel right at all. We both made the decision to go to the hospital so I ordered an uber for us and she got seen to within 5 mins because we were worried about DKA. she got tested for ketones and they were far too dangerously high. She had to stay in the hospital for a couple days and it gave both of us a wake up call (we are both student nurses). So we definitely got some IRL learning done that night. It is scary and shocking and I made sure to keep checking up on her every so often about her health.
I'm so sorry you had a health scare and how awful it must've been for you. Going low is just as, if not, more scary than going high. You have done a tremendous job of looking after your lifelong condition. Keep looking after yourself girlie, balancing uni life is hard but you will get there ❤🤍

Oh my goodness I'm so glad you are okay!!! I'm T1D as well and a few years ago I was travelling in Europe and was at a music festival in Belgium, similar sort of thing where I just forgot to eat etc... one second I was with my friends at our camp spot and the next I was waking up in ICU 😖 I spent 5 days in hospital (3 of those in ICU) in severe DKA, the doctors said at one point they almost had to resuscitate me so I am so so lucky to be alive. My mum flew all the way from Sydney, Australia to get me to bring me back home to Australia too. It was the scariest thing of my life, I can't believe this happened to me either and thinking about it now makes me so teary 😔I can completely emphasise with you here! So glad you are okay 💕💕💕
