    I bought the Shark Rotator NV752 vacuum today after watching this review. In the 2 years since this review, there have been some changes:
    1. It no longer comes with an accessory bag, so you will have to find a place to stash the other attachments.
    2. There isn't an attachable micro pad for the floor genie.
    3. The pet upholstery tool with the red stripe is no longer included in the package.
    4. The vacuum does not come with a canister caddie.
    I am bummed about the changes in the attachments; however, this vacuum could suck a golf ball through a garden hose. I never knew I had so much pet hair in my carpet and on my upholstery until tonight.

      Laffintig I’m thinking of getting this VC. Thanks for the heads up about the caddy and bag. The canister caddy isn’t a deal breaker because I do prefer holding the canister to pulling it when vacuuming. As for the accessories bag, That’s also a nonissue for me . The VC meets all the features that are important to me.

    I have never seen a more thorough, unbiased review of any product. You did an amazing job showing and describing this vacuum. I am in the market for a new vacuum and I am replacing an older model Shark. There are several things I didn't like about my old one (very top heavy, when on carpet in the upright position, it falls over. It doesn't not have headlights. The hose is super short). With the help of your review I am happy to say I am comfortable ordering this one. You need your own tv show, just reviewing things. I would watch it!

      Agreed! Very matter-of-fact, informative and complete. I was just watching the two Dyson videos, [believing that would be my choice] now that I see this one...I'm leaning more towards the Shark. He really should host a show! Take good care of you and yours.

    Bought this vacuum about 3 years ago and have never used the attachments. I wasn’t sure what they were for so I’m glad I found this video👍🏻I’m actually excited to try out a few of them. Vacuum works great btw. It definitely takes some getting used to as its a tad heavy but it works great and fits under my furniture for easy cleaning.

    MY family was in the carpet and ceramic tile business for 55 years. OUr shop was in southern Minnesota USA/ My folks never once ran an ad ,all their business came from word of mouth. Being in this business nearly every major vacuum cleaner is offered to us because they wanted our endorsement. The business closed when my mother died suddenly at young age of 82. Having the knowledge and first hand use of so many cleaners personally I felt I knew what to look for and expect from a vacuum. A good or bad vacuum can actually play a direct role in the life of your carpets and even hard surface floor coverings. Having tested and used the best I was blown away by the Shark Navigator. So versatile looking at it. The question is with clean filters will the motor deliver the same performance a year or two after using it. Here is what we experienced. The machine completely wore out after 8 months of use, Our home is of modest size and no young children. We remove our shoes in the entry as do our guests. We have 2100 sq ft of which 1200 is carpet and 900 is hardwood and stone about 50/50. At the power nozzle the housing bottom wore thin and the suction hose just broke into pieces. I sent multiple emails and made phone calls to Shark. We provided them with all the information they required. I even offered to send the power head to them at my expense. We received no replacement or offer to repair . Awful customer service, they obviously couldn't care less about their customers or loyalty. This cleaner was suppose to have a 5 or 7 yr warranty so much for Shark. I won't say about the others in this video but I recommend you stay clear of Shark . Do they suck?/ Yes they sure do suck big time!! * Just a side notte < At no time was I ever rude or disrespectful to the Shark representatives . We have a used Hoover I purchased on Craigslist . The Shark canister is in garage I use it to vacuum the sawdust from my table saw. I sent the power nozzle head to Shark care of their R&D Department. That was over a year ago. To this day I never heard a peep out of the Shark people. .

    I used to love, LOVE my Sharks. I bought this as a treat, and loved it. For about a year... It dawned on me that I was looking to buy a new vacuum every 18ish months or so. I agree with most. Nothing beats a brand new Shark. I thought it was the filters, so I replaced them after cleaning them didn't do anything, and still was not seeing an improvement. Something happens to Sharks after using them every other day. For fun, I borrowed my friend's OLD Dyson DC41 and was absolutely floored by what was being left behind. I did some homework, invested in the original Dyson DC65 this week, and am not looking back.

    I've had mine for nearly a decade now and no problems! Was looking up model #'s to find what filters I should get for it and found this review. I absolutely love this vacuum and everyone who's ever used it in my house has admired how it handles and performs. The pet hair add-on works great on carpeted stairs and car interiors and the amount of dust & hair this thing picks up is quite insane. It seems as powerful as my shop vac as well which is impressive.

    Purchased this vacuum on sale recently, we’re coming from years of owning a Shark Navigator. The only issue we had with the navigator was a clogged filter in the debris bin that was easily fixed. Also the Navigator seemed to tip over easily at times, seemed like a weight distribution issue? Overall it was a good experience, and hopefully the Rotator vac is just as good or better. Great, thorough reviews! Thank you!

    I've had a 50 dollar junk vacuum for years, it finally broke yesterday.. I bought this model last night and tried it out in a small area about the width of the vacuum and maybe 2 feet long.. I was shocked at how much I pulled out.. I've always thought my house was clean but apparently I was wrong.. totally worth the money and now I get to do a complete fall cleaning now that I know how much junk is in my carpets.

    Thank you for the review. I recommend buying the shark from Costco because it has a larger bin. I do think that the suction tests of the shark and dyson were not 100% accurate because when the suction is stopped with your hand the vacuums leak suction on purpose to protect the motor and the shark releases even more suction than the Dyson when stopped with the hand

    The reason no one complains about "wrist strain over time", is most people don't have 28k sqft homes to vacuum. And those that do, typically have cleaning staffs to do it for them.

    Thank you for an incredibly thorough review. After doing some research I ordered this Shark NV752 this morning. I decided that this would be the best model being that we have a long-haired dog. I also decided to stick with Shark because the first Shark vacuum that we purchased back in 2015 lasted us 8 years, the NV501 - and I really liked using it over the years. I almost bought the same model, but figured I'd see what else is out there. I am also looking forward to using the attachments on the new model. Thanks again for a great review.

    just bought this machine and I must says its by far the nicest I ever used or bought, works works well on my oak floors as well. myself the heavy feel is good, you want that, if you have a cheap lightweight vacuum it won't clean as well. Dysons are over priced but thats just my opinion.

I tried the Dyson ball and small ball but both were too powerful for my thick carpet and I couldn't move it. Do you think the "Thick rug" setting that allows for air to escape will make the difference?

    Very well lit and well-considered review! I bought one yesterday, the NV752 just like yours! The only problem is that the hose or something REEKS horribly, it's a smell that we first noticed when opening the package. It is a very plastic-y smell - not burning plastic, but akin to plastic or the horrible and toxic vinyl smell of new vinyl shower curtains. DId you get that with yours? We can't even vacuum a single room so far. SUggestions?

    • @VacuumAdvisor
      @VacuumAdvisor  Před 8 lety +2

      +Henry 994 Hey Henry. That is a little odd. We just checked ours again and there is no smell whatsoever. We actually haven't experienced that on any of our vacuums. I think maybe you should call Shark and tell them. Not sure how they would handle this though. Maybe the smell will dissipate in time if you leave it for a while to air out? Or maybe you can get a replacement machine.

    • @ohthecaptain
      @ohthecaptain Před 8 lety +3

      Henry 994, the smell you mentioned is common in plastics that are kept in an enclosed area. The stench is a result of the numerous chemicals used in creating plastics. Smells are commonly referred to as BO, fishy, and vomit/ stomach acid. Common cures for this smell are placing the object which smells in a well ventilated area (outside if possible) for a few hours after a good scrub with a warm, damp cloth. I would return the product to where you bought it for another. If the second unit has this smell then try cleaning it.

    I just bought a NV752 brand new from Kohl's and it didn't come with the powered pet brush, just a suction powered one. What gives? Box says NV752, and the Kohl's site says it should come with the powered pet tool. Yet, now that I look at the box it says "includes Pet Power Brush" with a picture of the unpowered brush. Did they stop giving out the powered brush in recent shipments? I feel a little cheated.

    Vacuum Advisor - great review! Which would you say is a better performing machine - Shark NV752 or Dyson Animal + Allergy? Thanks!

    • @addicttostuff8563
      @addicttostuff8563 Před 6 lety

      You should buy a Dyson, Shark is not durable and doesn't last, my Dyson DC15 work like a champ, then I bought 2 sharks and it doesn't last, so, I bought the Dyson Animal+Allergy, and it works great. Worth every penny

    Hi , Thank you for your time and information. I got this vacuum(NV752), I could love it but it destroys my carpets by taking a large amount of my carpets' thread and pile.
    When vacuuming my black carpet , the vacuum's container is back( contains the carpet fibers)..While vacuuming red, container is quite red and the same with white carpet. What should I do? can I fix it myself? should I buy Shark NV682 instead?

    I look at this at Costco yesterday and there where 2 vacuum cleaners there but I don't know what numbers they were but I well look again. There was a hover that was lighter but I think the heavy it is the better it is ...???

    • @VacuumAdvisor
      @VacuumAdvisor  Před 7 lety +1

      I don't believe a heavier machine necessarily means a better machine. A lot of manufacturers are making an effort today to reduce the weight of their vacuums as consumers often like a lighter machine.

    I like everything about this vacuum cleaner except the long pet hair problem. Has that improved? Can that roller be replaced with the newer kind?

    • @VacuumAdvisor
      @VacuumAdvisor  Před 4 lety +1

      I think the hair wrapping problem likely remains. If you are thinking of trying to swap to a non-tangling type of brushroll I expect that may be difficult. For one thing the Zero-M Technology used in some Shark vacuums has both a specialized brushroll as well as a comb-like device in the cleaner head - so it isn't just the brushroll itself.

    In your opinion which vacuum, do you prefer the dyson animal or the shark rotator lift away? I can't decide which one to get.

    • @saram2459
      @saram2459 Před 6 lety

      I suffered through having a Dyson pet model. Very quickly turned into a useless pos. My Shark Rotator has run rings around Dyson for half the price.

  • @bekkieokie
    @bekkieokie Před 6 lety

    I guess different people had different experience. I had a dyson for 20 year, and it work very well. Them I bought a shark, and it didn't last a year so I bought a dyson. So far it works very well. Alot better than the shark.

    • @bekkieokie
      @bekkieokie Před 6 lety

      I did everythijng that was expect to maintain the machine. I clean the filters almost everything I use it, but it still didn't pick up the dirt. The filters get very dirty every time I use it. It shouldn't get that dirty everytime you use it. I wish I can find more filter and exchange it with a cleaner one every time I use it and clean the dirty one.

      Hi Tina. I don't personally have a carpet cleaner / steam cleaner. I believe Shark makes several but I haven't had the opportunity to test these yet.

    I find it sad, and an indicator of the lack of attention to detail, that the Dyson doesn't have any lighting on the power head. My 15 year old Hoover Windtunnel has a headlight - granted, it's an incandescent bulb, but at _least_ it has the feature. For the premium price that Dyson demands for their products, it seems to me that every one of them should be able to at _least_ fold your laundry. Having a handful of cheap white LED's across the front should be a standard feature at the Dyson price range...

    You may not realize but you can't have full suction and the brushes on . Both brush settings open the suction release valve in the handle . Only hard floor no brush keeps the air suction closed . I'd like to have full suction and brush .

    • @blackice7408
      @blackice7408 Před 7 lety

      Kef103+ both the "hard floor" and "low carpet" settings have a closed valve and 100% suction. i think you're talking about "high pile and area rug" setting. now that one has an opened valve and slightly reduced suction

    I'm in market for new vacuum cleaner. We have carpet all house and we have a dog, which vacuum do you recommend NV752 or NV801(this is relatively new)?

    • @VacuumAdvisor
      @VacuumAdvisor  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi Mohan. That's a good question. We do like the NV752 but haven't yet had the chance to look at a full size upright with DuoClean Technology. The 801 is indeed very new but we hope to get our hands on one soon. We do have some experience with the DuoClean Technology as we reviewed the Shark Rocket Complete (czcams.com/video/7oJ2vGxwtrU/video.html) and we found it fairly effective (frankly we were a little surprised as many new features and ideas today tend to be more marketing than truly innovative).
