I think you may have misunderstood this whole scene. His kids would not live long anyway and he had days left to live. Also, muzan didn't suspect it because his family was there and they knew exactly what was going to happen
Even Muzan himself said that he didn’t feel any hatred towards Ubuyashiki most likely due to Ubuyashiki’s voice that calms anyone down including HASIRAS and MUZAN HIMSELF. Ubuyashiki is literally the biggest hater in the entire series that he doesn’t even want his opp to hate him before the opp GETS BLOWN UP. Even when Muzan finally hates Ubuyashiki, Muzan gets to be humilated by COPING AND HATING ON A DEAD PERSON, which only Yorrichi could do to Muzan before Ubuyashiki. EVEN YORRICHI CANNOT COMPETE AGAINST UBUYASHIKI WHEN IT COMES TO HATING.

Nah he isn't the biggest hater because he has every reason to hate Muzan including being afflicted by a curse because of him and having to lead an organization whose sole purpose is fighting against the horrors that all came from ONE GUY. Man's entire family is the painting to Muzan's Dorian Gray. And Muzan has not been slacking on the atrocities.
Ubuyashiki hates Muzan for humanity, he hates Muzan for his family, and he hates Muzan for himself. All of them justified.
Contrast him with someone like Dio or Sukuna (the former of whom is up there with Reverse Flash on all-time haters list) and you quickly see that real haters either go so far beyond the infraction to them it is laughable, or have hilariously petty reasons for their hating.
