What a magnificient cathedral; @8:52, that is a Temple Tower (Gopuram); Naomi is spot on when she says, Chennai offers something for everyone. Keep enjoying your travels, Guys.
Thanks guys for your positive comments about Chennai. I am Sri Lankan Tamil, who lives in the UK and would like to visit Tamil Nadu again.

Its so nice to see you, taking your time to explore India and going wherever you wanna go. Just a little word of advice, although most people in India are really friendly, kind and wholesome there are some who are not, just like any other country in the world. Amongst 1.4 billion people there's bound to be some bad apples here and there and in your travels there's a big chance that you'll eventually come across some of them and that's why you should always be careful.
I wish you good luck and hope that you'll enjoy your stay in India. 🙂🙏
Thank you so much for your support ❤️❤️
Next destination you can go south wards Mahabalipuram and later Pondycherry.
You should not miss Amma Restaurant in T Nagar. Enjoy you tour guys
Good to hear about how great the metro is! And that is a long queue to enter the country but obviously worth it.
❤️❤️
My favourite country is India, amazingly kind and generous people live there. I visit many times. Wow, lovely lovely people. India is like my second home. Enjoy!!

Hey Guys, love your videos. I really appreciate the level of insight you have as regards India, its culture and its people. You have given an honest picture of what this country offers. I am from Chennai and would recommend that you experience the following- Mahabalipuram and its monuments, The Mylapore Temple, A drive down the OMR IT express way, The thousand lights mosque and St Thomas mount. Also Try the Dosa, Vada, Samabar and filter coffee for breakfast, an authentic south India" meals" for lunch, try Parotta and Chicken for dinner. There is a lott which South India and Tamil Nadu have to offer which many tourists tend to miss out or Ignore. Loads of love to the both of you )
Thank you so much Arjun 🙏 we are so happy and excited to explore more of India 🇮🇳
Welcome to India, enjoy the country, food, culture and good vibes. May God continue to bless you and.

Nice. Believe it or not even Indians who live in rural areas have the same feeling about crowded big cities initially and those who live outside when they return.
Understandable ❤️
Thanks for watching us!
The more you mix the good with the bad , the ordinary with the luxury , the more you will be loved here in India as travellers
❤️❤️🇮🇳🇮🇳
Wonderful you have positive feel about Chennai ! Entire Tamilnadu can be very friendly except some specific tourist centers. Wish your time is well spent in India. For Westerners I feel winter may be best time for South India ( North India can be very cold) .Hope you have also seen the main areas of Chennai (not the back streets and lanes alone)
Thank you 🙏😊🇮🇳
Mr Sivakumar....For people in Europe or North America, a very cold place is where you have temperature like minus 20 degrees Celsius. Russia can be far more colder. So please don't say that North India can be very cold. North India does not come anywhere close to Europe (particularly Russia and Scandinavian countries) or North America. Indian winters (North or South) will most probably be mild summers for people in western countries. I speak from experience.
@@Bostonite1985 I wish you visit the Himalayan range of India.....Heard that the US soldiers who came here for joint excercise with their Indian counterparts suffocated from hypoxia due to worst climatic conditions. It seems like north Americans are not well suited for extreme cold and high altitude...minus 20 degree Celsius is the temperature which you experience it in the summer in these regions.... In winter, no people can visit those places except the military.
@@sivavicky3628 Himalayas majority in Pakistan china and more cold in Tajikistan etc. North Indian 90 percent hot plains and south tropical cool mountains
@@northindianalexanderkidsalexan
No part of Himalaya is in Tajkistan, it is a desert.
Greatest share of Himalayas is clearly with India !! :)
Here are some figures:-
India:
I will start with states which are located on Himalayan range.
Jammu & Kashmir and ladakh combined: 222,236 km2
PAXTAN has no rights to claim Himalayas..... Kashmir belongs to India.
Arunachal Pradesh: 83,743 km2
Himachal Pradesh: 55,673 km2
Uttarakhand: 53,566 km2
Meghalaya: 22,429 km2
Manipur: 21,081 km2
Nagaland: 16,579 km2
Tripura: 10,048 km2
Sikkim: 7,096 km2
That makes a grand total of 461,650 km2 (Ignoring some smaller areas in other states)
Nepal:
Area of Nepal = 147,181 km2
Roughly 75% of area of Nepal is in Himalaya. So that makes the area of Nepal in the Himalayas = 110,387 km2
Bhutan
Total area of Bhutan: 38,394 km2
China
Now as far as China is concerned it mostly consists of Tibetan Plateau which is technically not a part of Himalayas. Though some parts do come under Himalayan range but they are not as large as the Indian or even the Nepalese part. They are cold desert either.
As a conclusion India and Nepal has some of the highest peaks in the world.
Example:
Nepal - mount Everest.
India - mount Kanchenjunga
Mount K2 as well
Nandri.
You guys learnt language and came. No wonder you found Tamilnadu/Chennai pleasant.
Nandri Vanakkam. Pls visit back again and again. Best wishes to both of you.
ENJOY INDIA ..❤️ MY COUNTRY ,OUR COUNTRY, EVERY ONE'S COUNTRY .. INCREDIBLE INDIA ,🇮🇳
Please visit Kailasa Temple at Ellora Caves in Maharashtra India. It's considered greatest architecture in history of mankind, because the way it was built seems unbelievable for even today’s time. The temple was built at least 1300 years ago. No stone or nothing was added they carved a mammoth Granite rock/mountain with intricate details. The Kailasa Temple is notable for its vertical excavation-carvers started at the top of the original rock and excavated downward. At least 400000 tonnes of stones have been removed in the process. About 7000 workers and their future generations worked for 135 years. One small mistake and you have to rebuild the whole temple because it's carved into the rock without adding anything, that too up to down.
Sounds incredible!
@@TwoMadExplorers It has secret underground tunnels believed to be leading to underground city which is even more mysterious and government have totally locked that down and no researchers are allowed to go inside.
During the reign of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, the temple was ordered to be demolished along with other temples nationwide.
For the task in 1682 he sent over 1000 labourers especially to destroy Kailasa Temple; they worked for over 3 years, but could barely manage to disfigure a few statues here and there. It's the solid granite rock that's made so hard to destroy.
Despite of his repeated efforts to tear down Kailasa Temple, Aurangzeb did not found success. Finally he gave up on destroying this temple. This is the same person who has destroyed thousands of ancient temples in India but he could not destroy this one so you can understand the magnanimity of the temple.
other than Kailasa Temple there are 99 other cave temples there (100 total) of which 34 are open for public viewing. whole temple complex known at Ellora Caves.

If you're still in Chennai would love to meet you! I love seeing the city through your eyes!! Thank you for this!
Thank you! We might be back in the city at some stage!
It's nice to hear that you felt homely in Tamil Nadu...you should try traveling in Cities like COIMBATORE..where temperatures maybe better over the year...its.nearer to the hill resorts and the state of Kerala..or other cities like Madurai or further south of Tamil Nadu...but there are aldo differences like the absence of the metro etc BUT even locals say people in the lesser developed areas are so friendly and many can understand spoken English in Southern States of India than in the north...many may not be able to converse but in their own language or dialect , there are many English words being used in their daily conversations thatvone may be able to communicate ...
Happy to see this video and especially your language is very clear to understand. The expression about my hometown and overwhelmed explanation about the people and culture. Hope that had a good time. Come again with your kids. Bye
Thank you! 😃
You may wonder why we use so much honking. We use it as a communication between the drivers. So it is normal in India but feels noisy for westerners.
It’s fantastic to witness 🙌
This traffic chaos is even more in northern states of india like delhi, mumbai, Jaipur. Do visit goa... Many tourists visit goa.
Thank you so much for watching our video 🙏
in India you please avoid a city called Delhi. it is known as most polluted populated scammy unsafe loudest unfriendliest place in India. the city also has most unhealthy food in the country. it is called Delhi Belly for a reason as if you are not used to these food they will cause trouble.
Sir kindly don't spread misinformation about Delhi City. Just avoid Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk, Pahargunj area in Delhi City. Otherwise there are plenty of Wonderful Places to explore around Delhi and NCR Region-Gurugram, Aerocity, Faridabad, Noida, Sanjay Van, Hauz Khas, Agrasen Ki Baoli, Bhardwaj Lake, Tughlaqabad Fort, Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal, Bijay Mandal Fort, Buddha Park, Mehrauli Archaeological Park, Sunder Nursery, Majnu ka Tila Tibetan Colony, Satpula Bridge, Jahaz Mahal, Pusa Hill Forest, Jahanpanah Forest, South Central Ridge Forest, Millenium Park, Asola Wildlife Sanctury, Jamali Kamali Tomb, Roshan Ara Heritage Garden, Talkatora Fort Garden, Deer Lake Park, Qila Rai Pithora, etc.

There is a St. Thomas mount, where the Saint is buried I think. You have to climb the hill to get to that Church. You can get it to it by the local train or the newer subway. It is near the airport, you can see the flights take off. Evening is best, cool breeze up in the hill.

Welcome to Madras. Mylapore is the oldest part of Chennai. Enjoy your stay
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Welcome to my hometown. It's a very interesting place for sure, beaches, malls, cafes, lots of hidden restaurants. The best part of south India is the little communities that we have, the sports we play but it's not available to foreigners. However, I think south india is in general very liveable.
Also, even though I lived in Chennai for a long time, I find north chennai to be overwhelming. I can't stay there for too long. The south parts of Chennai, especially in the East Coast Road, Adyar, Alwarpet, Mylapore Velacherry is much nicer. I also like the little cities in Tamil Nadu - Kumbakonnam, Tanjore, Trichy, hill stations like Ooty and Kodai-Kanal. Maybe try to visit Mahabalipuram and the Ramana Ashram in Thiruvanammalai (i once rode a motorcycle there - it's 200km away - you can see the Gingi fort on the way and climb some hills too)
This is my state in tamil nadu lovele people yaaa
