How did Ross qualify for Loretta Lynn’s after only 3 years of ever riding a dirt bike?!?

- Ross has been my student since day 1, even after getting injured at his very first class with me! He decided to not race his entire first year and only practice technique and do the drills required to make him safe. Less than three years later he’s qualified for the biggest amateur national race in the world, Loretta Lynn’s!

Thanks for watching guys! Ross is a great kid and it’s cool to see how quickly he’s improved.
If you want to improve as quickly as he has, make sure you join The Moto Academy and train with me online 😎 club.themotoacademy.com
Great videos love to watch them and learn a lot of them but i have a question i have been riding motocross since i was 6 but i stoped when i was 11 and now at 15 i'm at the point to race and ride again the old bike is to little for me to ride so i have no idea should i buy the 125 2stroke or should i buy the 250 4 storke if i want to get back to racing and riding does any body have any ideas
Albert, you’re the man... I also would like to thank you for doing the 259 tribute back in 18 (I think). That was the business. Looked just like James back in the day. Still got my 259 fox poster of James in the garage.
Ross is looking quick good job on that!
I like your sponsors 😎👍🤙 Aj
Ross was at a class you taught at MX23. He was very impressive and a very kind, well mannered kid. I'm glad that he is having success. I'm rooting for him
He’s a great kid!!!!
This mama bear is super proud of you both Ross and AJ! you both have accomplished so much these past few years. Lots of great things to come and I can't wait to watch and do my part when needed. -Love you guys!
techniques almost identical with yours. literally line choice is the only difference that i can see. what a badass kid!
Ya no crap
Looked like he was sticking or losing momentum more in corners compared to AJ.
This is exactly how I have been treating my own riding. Not once have I worried about how fast I am going. Always technique, thanks to your videos, knowing the speed will come! Good luck young man
Glad to see parents are out there supporting their kids. My mom watched me crash when I was 15 during a race (a crash I walked away from) and made me sell my bike the next day. I'm 29 now and can finally afford a 250f. A lot of lost time...parents support your kids
Shoutout to these people man this is the heart of the sport
Another great video and Ross your awesome ! Thanks for sharing AJ, really enjoyed it 👍👍
Great video! Love this story, and also how stoked you were after the moto.
Congratulations, Ross... you're an inspiration and good luck at Loretta's. Good job professor AJ. 👍
That's the best way to do it. We will get there AJ soon. Still my favorite trainer and got the humor to back it up. Great job Ross. been watching you for a year now. awesome progress!
It was awesome going to your class and having Ross there basically as your guinea pig showing us how it’s done then a week later seeing him at the regional!! I definitely did my best to follow him around in practice 😂
You are great !!! Keep coaching motocross need you!!!
I've raced bmx for a long time, xc mtb racing for 15 years! Never been on a Motocross bike BUT you make me want to get a bike bad!!!
Do it! 😬
You only live once, do it!
If you do it (and you should, there's no substitute) just really manage your expectations your first few months, otherwise you might find yourself more discouraged after a ride than stoked. This kid is a good example of just easing into it and checking those important boxes first, before biting off too much. Good luck - have fun if you give it a try.
Do it man, I got my first motorbike after 10+ years of bmx,mtb ect.. and it's amazing. I just ride around the woods with my buddy's and love it. Like mtb riding but the up hills are more fun lmao
Thanks for having a channel and posting videos that are great
I’ve been riding and racing hare scrambles most of my time riding, and riding is what I love. I started riding and racing motocross two years ago, and I love it. I’m hoping you get a chance to do a class in Michigan at some point. I really like how you take the time to thoroughly explain techniques and drills with the riders, and always giving constructive feedback. I think doing a class and signing up for the online academy (as well as getting in the gym) could help take my riding to the next level!
Great content. Keep it up guys. We're watching!⚡😁👍🔥
Congratulations Ross! 🏆 Testimate to just how good AJ is at teaching and your listening. ❤️🇺🇸🏆
This dude is going places. Good work Ross, smooth is fast.
What a great video AJ
Aj nice work with the go pro and Ross's form looked amazing.
Jumped into a few NEMX races this season in New England got to race Ross is 250c! Awesome rider fast paced good starts right out front always never would of imagined only 3 years keep up the good work!
Hello. This was great to see Albert Joseph. You should be very proud of yourself (while staying humble of course! LOL)! Being a teacher and mentor that can help others is such a worthwhile endeavor. Obviously, your teaching style and technique is working. I did something similar but went to a coach for archery to improve in IBO competition (shooting foam animal targets). I shot thousands of arrows into a bag target from 3' away for a year just as the instructor outlined. Went back to competition a totally different archer (improved my scores from 240/300 to 290+/300). Anywho, back to you and the Moto Academy....well done AJ. These are great success stories to share. Toodles!!
Thank you! There’s no question that focusing on the basics works!
this is honestly inspiring, I've been riding for 3 years, only a year with riding every week sometimes twice a week, I've never raced and when I ride im always trying to implement the technique I always see in the videos and im already faster than I was a year ago while feeling much safer and I don't even try.
That's some serious wheel to wheel racing. Much respect!
Go ross that was an awesome day I had so much fun!!!!!
Seems like a great kid. Thats why I love motocross!
Hell yeah the stuff dreams are made of. Keep it up!
My Son and Nephews first year in Motocross, and riding a dirtbike, we have had them in the points Championship in VT and NH my boy is 11 racing the 65 c class and open class, on his 2009 Monster Edition KX65, hes 3rd in VT, and NH in points, and my Nephew races the 250 class with a CR250F and he has Dominated both states, and has already clinched both Championships, and all his classes! Keep Rippin'em up Boys, im so proud of you both!
AMERICA STRONG

LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC
Damn.....Ross was shredding it. Color me impressed.
Wow, amazed. True testament.
This is was pretty cool to watch. Good technique and looks like he’s riding the bike more than the bike riding him
I love the way you respect the slower riders
What i noticed more of and this is a hard technique too acquire and usually comes with time. He is patient when it comes to passing or being passed. No crazy over revs or trying to pass back in the next corner with some stupid move. His just smooth and patient.
Awesome 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Australia, Melbourne 🇦🇺🇺🇸
Impressive. 5 years he should be supercross champ. Go Ross. 👍👍
This is awesome
Ross riding really good!
Salute AJ 🤘🏻
Also please come to Michigan and do a class that would be amazing and id definitely be there
It will and it will always be. Its about the rider not the bike, always invest in the skills and technique slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Learning from the best and starting from scratch is better than learning so many years going fast and then getting injured. I have not ridden about 1 year but it was also three years ago when i first started riding. I watched as Many Catanzaro and MxFactory Videos started immitaing the style and techniques and got better and kept building and building. Though I lost that momentum I have been working hard to get a YZ125 with new gear and possibly wanting to take moto lessons.
It's never to late, some of us did not have the opportunity to ride at young.
that was me #727 @3:55 riding with ross an stepek. an then after 4:00 riding with Aj 🤘🏼🤘🏼💯 so sick thanks aj for having me in the video
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
that was my first time back on bike after my neck an back injury it was sweet to get pushed by you for a lap
I wanna do your classes very soon
The lads ripping 👍
I can't wait to be at the class there on the 30th! Nervous but excited. I started on a pw50 at 4 and raced up until 22. Got out of it completely. I'm 34 now and bought a 2019 RMZ 450 about 3 months ago. Im not gonna lie, I thought I'd be able to pick right back up where I left off at and that's not the case at all. Don't get me wrong I'm not terrible but damn sure not as fast as I was at 22. At least I'm finally passed the SEVERE arm pump stage and can ride more than 3 laps 😂😂😂
I hope you come back and update us on your experience.
I'm in a similar situation as you. I got out of the sport for (too long) and now I'm back at the age of 35. I bought a 2022 YZ450F last month had a near-identical mindset, "It's got to be like riding a bike..."
I broke the bike in on my property and went to the track the following weekend. Quite the humbling experience!
Like you, I am not terrible by any stretch but I have to keep proper form on my mind the entire time I'm riding else bad habits and lazy riding takes over.
The physical toll was also very real, and I fancy myself in pretty good shape for my age and occupation!
Those few laps before mental and physical fatigue set in...I had a BLAST!
I got back into moto shortly after AJ was in my neck of the woods so I didn't have the opportunity to attend his class.
To make up as much lost ground as I can, I study all of his (and Tyler's) videos, as well as became a member of The Moto Academy. The next time AJ is hosting a class near me a few friends and I vowed to attend. I refresh the "Tour" section of The Moto Academy every day, hoping to see my area on the list.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't envious of your upcoming class! I'm sure it'll be awesome!!
@@nine9sixSPS keep looking! ☺️ you never know where Aj is going to go next. Where are you from?
@@krysoconnor3648 North-Central Florida.
I live about 10 minutes from Gatorback.
Loretta's is so fun to go to, I've never raced there but gone twice just to watch and camp and it's still a great time!
racing there is terrible. Expect to spend about $7k to go and to ride one of the smallest tracks that has the most people on it. Its not great
@@richardferrell4362 I've never ridden it but I ride just for anyway, but the atmosphere, and watching the races Is fun. I can't disagree about it being expensive.
Hey Aj!! You should totally teach a class at Moto40 in North Carolina, it's Chad Reeds place. But if you could that would be sick 🤙🤙
This is awesome, congrats Ross! And AJ “this is what I needed… more dirt in my mouth” 😂😂
I have a video on my channel ross is next to me on the gate in 250 c class about 2 years ago I beat him then he would smoke me now! I need to get myself to some of your class Great video!
Great strategy, I am always trying to go faster than I am comfortable. I just figured that’s how it was.
You’re not alone. Most people ride that way!! But it’s not correct. Slow down, learn to do it right, and in 6 months you’ll be going faster than you ever have but feel like you’re going half the speed!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

AJ I thought Ross was wiping camera and going all over . BUT you say that was you eating dirt trying the block pass. Man really good sh@$. AJ you should be proud of yourself man, your teaching technique, and everyone wants to work with you. Congratulations 🎉🍾🎈. Plus Ross keep up the hard work, I is showing great results.
Peace ✌️
Ross . Sorry not I. Your hard work is showing
Thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
That's what I am doing as a 45 +, save your old man comments, started riding moto at 31 as a weekend warrior, now I've been watching, learning and implementing for about 7 months and will start racing in February , live in GA. We will see!!!!!!
Awesome!
Good luck bro. Love it!
How good
Damn that shit looks fun !!! Wooohooo !! Felt like I was in the race
Holy moly this kid hauls mail. 3 years on the bike??? Unbelievable 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 how many classes did he take with you AJ?
lots!!
PROVEN TO WORK. Let’s freaking goo! 😎
BTW well done to him!
What a goon😬. Getting fast Ross!
Can we get an update video on Ross?
It’s easy to pick up if you just started on a big bike and have proper training because you learn so fast and make almost no bad habits I’ve been racing for almost 5 years and from racing you can learn a lot more aggression but it also gives you bad technique and when you push it all the time
7:50 holy he ZOOMED
Hey AJ, sick vid as always. Any impressions on the 21 rockstar fc450?
Good/bad things about it?
I think that was a 22 350 and I absolutely loved it!!!!
Do a class in NorCal
Dayum!
It's obvious how he did it AJ .he took your class and then practiced what you taught him..
🙏🏾🙏🏾
Are you gonna be riding rockstar husky now?
🥇
That's Rad to qualify with such a short time on a bike!
U dont have to ride from a young age to be good, if you have heart, you can achieve good results quickly, it’s 50% skill 50% heart and motivation man, and if you have heart, you’ll train hard asf too
@@nissan_6828 Yeah there have been stories of guys with a late career, John Dowd is probably the most well known
@@MX-CO personally, i started riding dirt bikes a year ago, i’m enjoying it and i’ve been working on technique a lot, but i’m hella passionate and always excited to ride which helps
Anotha banga
How did he lacerate his liver? Did he fall on the handlebar or footpeg?
It was the handlebar. He spent a week and a half in ICU then an additional 5 days in observation. He finished the day got home and he could not sit still, could not get comfortable and he became white as a ghost so we brought him to ER
I rode a couple of times a year but still could catch up with guys doing it it half their life. I knew I had talent but my back fucked it all up
Hey AJ, I’m really wondering if Im too old to still be competitive. I just turned 21 and have very little mx experience but I do alright on trails, but I have also only been riding for a year. Do you have any advice?
Dude if you really focus and go out and practice and really look up videos on body position. I feel like you went to tracks practiced for 2 ish years you could be near this kids speed. You just need to save up money and go out and PRACTICE!
Love or videos
Can you do a figure 8 video?
Sure!
Ross looks like agent 47 👍
Its not about how much time youve spent riding, its about how youve spent that time ridding
Trooper lol, attaway Ross.
Aye I see me
😬
I rode with a young man who crashed he was fine he was good found out he had a ruptured spleen and in the ICU.
Damn so it’s gonna take me 3 years to ride like this 🙃
Prob not, He rides 5 6 times a week and has been in constant training since he started.
So does this mean AJ is on a Husky for next season???
Haha nope! I still don’t know yet, but hopefully will soon
Great riding from Ross especially from only 3 years of riding.
What's 1 oodle plus 1 oodle?................................................................. Toodles. Your welcome.
AJ really roughing it out on this one. Eating roost and dirt in his mouth.
3 years? fuck me
He went to about 30 of my classes in a matter of 2 years and put a lot of work into mastering the technique. Cool to see his progression 👍🏼
Get a clue
