  • The plaintiff runs a pageant, and the defendant was a contestant. The plaintiff says the defendant was upset about an ad the defendant wanted to put in the program book but never made it in. They got into an altercation, and the plaintiff is suing for emotional distress and the cost of a car key. The defendant is countersuing for a refund on the ad, a retainer fee, and defamation. #JudgeMathis #RealityTV #Court

    Judge Mathis had a nasty attitude with the defendant and she remained poised. He was believing the defendant until she got caught in the lies about her keys. Then she just kept getting caught in lies from there on.

      From what I've seen most people hadn't even seen these shows before. They just hear "If you win, we guarantee your money. If you lose, we'll pay the judgement. And we'll always pay an appearance fee." So they see it as a win-win without doing any due diligence. I'd never accept to go on TV without knowing about the show xD xD xD

    Judge Mathis has to stop rushing to judge people when they didn't do anything outlandish. He didn't believe the defendant at first because he assumed nonsense. The defendant was calm, respectful, and didn't pop off. I believe her.

      That website is only accessible by staff ( ie the plaintiff or her niece ) they upload & remove.

    The plaintiff was lying. The defendant was trying to say that the plaintiff had a Photobucket account in which she used to upload pictures from the pageant. The plaintiff tried to mislead the judge by saying she doesn’t own the Photobucket domain. But she has access to the account used to upload the pictures and could have removed the comments or taken down the pictures of the defendant. She opted not to

      She didn’t own the site itself, she had a profile on the site so she has access to upload and remove photos. She messed herself up trying dispute the verbiage when she should have just removed those comments on the photo.

    Hahaha!!! That plaintiff really thought she was gonna get away with her congame. Not printing ads then acting like she'll give it back the next business day. Nope. That's why the defendant didn't want to wait. She knew the con. Then that heffer called her family over to try to jump and scare the girl into leaving. She got busted in her bullcrap!! I could see through her scam from the jump. It's happened to me.

      All them local pageants do that. I experienced something similar. I paid $200 to be in a pageant. The $200 included promotion, general fees, but like $100 of the deposit was supposed to go to pictures. 7 years later and still don't have any! These local pageants cut corners to save money and make their production appear more luxurious. Mind you, JM never even asked the plaintiff once about the photos. That is a vital part of the case because that is what sparked the confrontation.

    I love the show when Judge Mathis is going in on the ones who he thinks are guilty by his knowledge until the other one shows up with the truth. I love that the defendant kept her poised despite the judge going in her. It's life when you think that you got me, you don't. 🤣

    I believe Erica. that ad probably cost her winning.
    Most of these private pageants are won by who brings in the most money.
    Were there other contestants, whose ads didn't get in the program, I dare say,Erica's was the only one .
    That program should have been proofread before bring published.
    I have seen very similar situations in other pageants or contests.
    The money is still the main issue!!!
    Why do these young ladies wear these extremely tight skirts or pants.

    I knew something was shady & phony about the plaintiff as soon as home girl started speaking from the VERY BEGINNING lol. She really thought she had this win in the bag but once the defendant started to bring out the “facts” & Judge Mathis started with his questions that’s when she started talking in circles 😂 I’m so happy Judge Mathis eventually was able to see right through her lies though & I also applaud the defendant for staying calm & collect in the beginning so she could just be able to make her case in the end by exposing the plaintiff’s lies! I know the plaintiff is highly upset that she even decided to bring this case to court & on national television at that 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 Once Judge Mathis catches you in 1 lie, you lose all of your credibility with him 💯 #YOURCASEISDISMISSED 😌

      Well the plantiff sued for a key which she lied about -dismissed and the emotional distress she said was the abuse her niece was receiving so she became irrelevant very quickly the defendant became the plantiff and the defendant became the plantiff

    Flatout!! Good win for the Defendant! And not for nothing, It was definitely Shade from the get go from the Plaintiff. Because why wasn’t her ad Placed to begin with . It’s giving Jealousy. And That is why The defendant felt like she had to ask for her money at that very moment & wouldn’t get her money if she had to wait because it was probably a lot of things going on that led her to believe the character of the Plaintiff was dishonest and spiteful.

      I think the plaintiffs family bull rushed her backstage but didn't anticipate the defendants family showing up in her defense and laying hands. These family ran anything's are biased and they feel like they can't ever be challenged..

The defendant got more upset because now she's hearing you not getting a refund then that's when the plaintiff's family bum rushed the defendant. But Judge Mathis doesn't pay attention to detail.
