they really went through years of rough patches after Marvelous decided to self publish.
I don't think this game is entertaining, but yeah...they tried.
it’s wild how some people still don’t know these games just have the Harvest Moon name, and are not made by the OG creators.
however, that doesn’t mean that this looks bad. you can actually see that natsume is kind of trying with this one.
It looks like you dont have to choose tools, just press the action button and thats a no buy for me, the game looks nice but i think they gonna kill the gameplay, i need to choose my tools😢😢😢

I am loving the look of this trailer! As someone who has never given up on the Harvest Moon series, this is definitely a day one buy for me! The character models look great, the new features look interesting, and seeing a few returning characters is a plus! Now can we make Doc Jr a marriageable character!

I admit this is the best, most promising HM game since Natsume STOLE the name from the developers. But I will NEVER trust Natsume to make a HM game worthy of its name. I hope they do what you say, but any Day one buy of this game should only be to people wanting to review the game in hopes. And I salute those poor souls, even if I think they are also low IQ.
With saying that, if anyone legit enjoys these games and it makes you actually happy, despite its lack of substance. Don't let anyone sway you!

Wish there were still character portraits more and more of these games are opting to go without it's really disappointing but everything else looks great and I'll definitely still play it
yes, i agree with this. having character portraits really makes it more immersive XD the 3D models don't do anything for me. especially when they have romance options in these games
Yeah. But can they actually still do character portraits? I mean, legally, on both the "literally" part and the "art style" part. Cause it feels like the character portrait thing is a Marvelous thing. 3D models are kind of terrible tbh (when it comes to romance options).

1. Legally took away the artists. Exclusive contracts and all that, leaving the Natsume said without one (none thats decent enough at least).
2. Or during the split they maybe said something like "Since we are going in different directions, from now on, you don't do art. Also we are taking our iconic chicken designs with us."
I wish that too. I prefer portait than faces in game. It just looks weird.

That was my personal gripe with the look of the in conversation models I'd seen and felt like I was crazy seeing everyone saying they looked better than One World.

Unnecessary comparisons are nasty but some unfortunate comments did before here.. but, this graphics look worse than pokemon gen 9, It just has better resolution, but the textures are dull and modeling are 3DS tier

They are not SPLIT up from One company like lots of people mislead to... but the original developer of Bokujo Monogatari (game name in japan) company in japan want to change Localizing partner from Natsume to XSEED.
and since Natsume ONLY translating the game... they never actually have any experience on making the actual game itself... and sadly because they own the copyright for the name... they try making their original game with the name of Harvest Moon... sadly the game they made is SUPER DROP in quality than games from before... and intentionaly using the game with the intention of selling the game using older "Harvest Moon fame"... that's misleading...
for example this OP said that he's HM fans and Back to Nature is his life saver... Back to nature is not MADE by Natsume but only translated by them... that means he actually likes Bokujo Monogatari series... and might buy this game because of that title misleading.
that's the real reason why many Original HM fans got upset with Natsume. because it's legal but not ethical in lots of people opinion...

This looks promising. September is the busiest release month for me this fall, but I am intrigued and I will keep an eye on this.
Instead of making these big open areas that end up feeling empty and cheap-looking, I wish they'd just put those resources into making one really strong, detailed, great-looking town and its surrounding area. Just focus on quality over quantity. This does look better than their past games but it still feels like they're not quite there yet....

@@MrHdog111 It isn't Bokujo Monogatari, but it IS Harvest Moon. Natsume was forced to make their own games after Marvelous left them out in the cold. So Harvest Moon moved from rebranding Japanese Bokujo Monogatari games to creating their own entries.

I'm imagining, I don't want weird graphics, please give us a harvestmoon game with graphics like back to nature, with the addition of an open world and more animals, more diverse fish, more diverse plants, and more diverse festivals too , and the fish pond can be made bigger too, so we can become fish farmers too.
And one more thing, we miss chasing away stray dogs, how unique it would be if we could chase away other animals like racoons or foxes, it would definitely be funny and fun
