atleast I started Daydreaming when I was 8years old, today I am 30 & half years old,
all my life I failed again & again not to daydream, failed in engineering, failed to develop a Hobby, but finally 6months ago I visited a Psychologist when I was sacked from my job due to not Focussing on my Tasks.
4months ago I got an opportunity to be a Junior Data Analyst, happy with my Life, almost no Daydream, no Procrastination, no ADD(attentiondeficitdisorder) , no smoking cigarettes at all.

1. everyday sleeping & waking up on a set time even on weekends
2. reading
3. meditation
4. limited use of Mobile Phones
5. exercise
6. practice (stock market/python coding) atleast 10-20mins per day
7. paying gratitude & affirmations
8. journaling / planning a night before
This is my Day 2 of implementing attack mode course and yeah i have successfully studied for 4.5 hours today and yesterday studied for 3 hours.....so mai itna productive ho gaya hu k shwetabh ki last 2 videos aur ye wali video dekhne ka time nahi Mila...just dropping the comment... anybody thinking of buying attack mode just go for it... it's great course

I had a severe case of maladaptive daydreaming for 18/19 years, I'm 22 now, it helped me in some areas (i am a writer) but it made me lose a lot of me, my career, my time, my reality. Then i found a way and i am practicing it and it's way better now. Very difficult but very useful. There's a way out. Build your awareness muscle. Also thank you for picking this topic. This isn't categorized as a psychological problem but it is. Also, fixing it isn't a solution, it'll be further aggravated.

same i can relate with you, mai bhi aisa imagine karti hun ki mai apne school mein classmates ya teachers ke saath conversate kar rahi hun, but when it comes to real life, the reality is very different. mai jaisa imagine karti hun, waise nhi conversate karti real life, which is very disappointing, it feels like i will never be able to express myself properly, hence stuck in my fantasy world
My partner and I broke up a few days ago. We broke up mutually because things were becoming very chaotic with each passing day. We were in a relationship for 4 years (long distance), we had met a couple of times, his whole family knew about me, and some people in my family were also aware of it. But there came some irrevocable differences between us due to which it led to break up. There was no cheating, mind game or any sort of such thing. We were both okay at least in this part. But with time, we slowly started falling out of love. Now after the break up, my heart is telling me to give this relationship one more chance. But my mind is constantly denying it by saying "ab aur nahi." Idk what to do in this situation.

I am a new teen and my case is like... my mind wanders as if i am talking to a person when im alone in my room , ( a person i know for example my cousin, friend , teacher , sibling) .. i am talking to them but i am alone in a room idk why is that happening sometimes i daydream that i am explaining a concept from my studies to others ( people i know )
My daydreams are mainly a conversation with a person i know .

@@yashsaroha021 I don't meditate but I had cure almost it and little bit like if that happen scenario made its normal when I ask my family they say everyones daydream and when i stopped listening music half of the problem gone through earphones i started to spend more times with my family thanks I am ok I don't daydream usually I think it's big deal but everyone says it's normal at times it will be gone

Absolutely, it's normal for people to daydream and wander their mind in imaginations as long as it's not affecting their life.
What I meant was "maladaptive" daydreaming... when it becomes excessive and uncontrollable and it just distorts one's life completely.
And it all began from just normal daydreaming that slowly turned into a nightmare for some people.
Anyway, daydreaming is still a dumb thing to do, people don't have that mature state of mind and experience to realise it's actually a sickness.

Today modern mind numbing music is what causing many mental ailments for a whole lot of people.
If you're keen enough you will see when you listen to modern type music it's deflecting your perception from the reality on some level.
You start to believe false things for reality, and it just distorts your perception.
On the other hand, If you listen to any Indian classical music, it will make you still and peaceful, and above all it will bring you closer to reality.

I do research in neuroscience as my dd made me suffer alot, I felt horrible for not being able to control my brain & now as per my knowledge I think Maladaptive daydreaming and fpp both are caused by dysfunction in post central gyrus and Parietal lobe and the super function of occipital lobe.
