I’m glad the bare minimum has been raised from 450 sq inches to 620 sq inches of floor space! I always thought 450 sq inches was too small and could not fit everything a hamster needed 😊
I agree! The minimum is 450 sq inches in America, but in the UK it is 620sq inches! In Germany, the minimum is 775 square inches! 🐹💕

I loved this video! Also, I am looking to getting an ikea detolf some time soon because right now I have a 540 sq in bin cage and my hamster is kinda showing signs of stress because he will try to escape and climb out of the cage. This video helped. Thanks!

I am so confused on how bendable bridge is unsafe??
Sorry for the confusion! I explained in my other videos that the gaps in between the pieces of wood can get a hamster's toes/feet caught, which can break them. This can potentially be fatal. I have heard of multiple hamsters passing away due to this. Even if you glue moss into the gaps, it can always fall out/be knocked out and they can still have this problem. This mainly occurs when it is being used as a divider, but it can still happen if it is used like a platform if the wood is uneven!
@@pancakespets oh no!! My friend has stuffed tissue in hers for that and I was going to do that if mine get too separated but so far they seem safe.

That is very normal! Don't worry about it! It tends to make spot cleaning easier, and all you need to do to remove it is to sift though it! 🐹💕
