- I got a pet baby bunny! Everyone meet Alfie the lionhead rabbit:) I rescued him from the Humane Society and he is about 2 months old.

Some tips: feed your rabbits in a heavy bowl, make sure they have access to hay at all times, don’t let your rabbit drink out of a water bottle because they don’t get enough water from the bottles, instead get a heavy bowl and fill it with water

As your rabbit gets older, please consider getting them a bigger habitat. Maybe even consider free roaming him like how you would a cat or dog.
Now that I have moved, he sleeps in an X-pen and free roams throughout the day!

What a cute bunny! It's amazing that you rescued him from a shelter, he could have had a hard start to life and you rescued him, I do have some suggestions though if you don't mind, I also have experience with my two year old bunny, you can buy an exercise pen for dogs or even free roaming, its way cheaper to buy some cord protectors, stain remover, baseboard protecter e.g, cnc grids or a dog exercise pen than a rabbit age and he/she would be much happier in there, you can buy a rug or some fleece blankets to put in the bottom if you get a dog ex pen, and bunnies cannot get as much water in a water bottle as they need, you can buy a ceramic bowl. Also he would need much more hay and a bigger litterbox, hope this helps!!! It's also great that he free roams a lot, hope yall continue doing well.
ik that this was a year ago but before u pet them let them get close to u so u cloud just sit next to their cage and once they start sniffing in ur area u could either go in their cage or let them out and dont pet them or do anything just let them roam around and another tip is hand feeding they are gonna get closer too u that way. also u should get a storage grids to make the habiat bigger❤(btw no hate just wanted to give u some tips)
Hello I have a few things that you should take in to consideration. Bunnies drink as much water as a small dog and water bottles are very hard for them to drink out of, so it is better if you switch to a bowl of water. Also bunnies should not be in cages but i understand if you cant free roam him, but you can use an x pen and that will give him more space to roam. Hay is 80% of bunnies diet so that is not enough hay and that bedding can be ingested by the bunny and he can get gi stasis or something worse. Also the litter boxes for bunnies should be big enough for a bunny to do a 360 turn. And also thts not how you hold a bunny.
I have already addressed in several other comments that he now has a water bowl, we have moved so he now free roams full time, and he is given a mix of alfalfa and Timothy hay (since he is not a year old yet). I do not use that bedding, but when I did he never ate it. He has a much bigger litter box now since he has grown and his habitat has as well. Thanks for the concern, next time read the other comments before wasting your time :)

Since this video was posted I have moved so he free roams for most of the day and sleeps in an X-pen with plenty of space, food, toys, and a water bowl!
The setup should be ok for a small start for ur bunny to stay in for a bit, but its recommended to use heavy glass small bowls to feed ur bunny's food pellets and water cause if you feed your bunny water with a bottle, it doesn't receive the water it needs, but overall, u r good🤗😝😍

Bunnies should not be in cages they need to be free roamed !
We have 1 bunny and he has the whole room to himself share with Guinea pigs.
Tip: If you have or had watched lennon the bunny. She says that rabbits should NOT be kept in cages. 1. They can get depressed in small spaces. 2. They should be in a x-pen or free romeing. Not trying to be rude. Just giving you a tip!

Please free roam ur rabbit and do not use that water bottle for him bc he can get Dehydrated and sick from the thin drinking part not being clean. That cage is way to small and u need to give ur rabbit more hay
With the keypad on the bottom, you should probably tuck in the blue part because bunnies like chewing on them and they eat them😮😊😊😊

Hey I really think to anyone thinking about getting or getting a pet rabbit should really do research before getting there new member of there family and that goes with any pet or any loving creature. As far as rabbits go on CZcams Lennon the bunny is a great person to watch she makes all sorts of bunny educational content

When I first saw Kirby 🐇 he was standing up on his Adorable Big Paws looking at me with those Beautiful eyes 👀 and said, Please get me out of here. I Adopted him on 10-5-2021.

Hey just a good option, you should consider free roaming your bunny or getting a bigger habitat and little box

I’d try a bigger litter tray that ones to small, also try a hay bag above the litter tray when bunny’s eat they poop and pee so that should help.

Hi! I’d say it took a couple weeks for him to be fully comfortable around me and consistently approach me first! Also I got him when he was really young so he was used to being with his siblings and being at the shelter

When I first got my rabbit I had a cage and connected a play pen to it and during the day she could go around the play pen but during the night she stayed in the cage. The. When my rabbit got older I eventually let her out day and night into the play pen. Also such a rare find at an animal shelter!

Bunny are supposed to have a litter box they can do a full 360 and get a xpen if you don’t want to free roam

Bunnies are not hamster, they don’t belong in a cage, and they need more water than from a water bottle, free roaming should be an option, and you need to put more hay, he should have unlimited access to hay, their diet is 80% of just hay

bunnies are nthn like hamsters or other small animals, think of them as dogs&cats. they need to free roam constantly & need a room to themselves, i have two bunnies and they have their own room to themselves and they also free roam the house during the day. also get them bowls, rabbits drink as much as dogs do! also only feed them timothy hay, but mixed hay with timothy should also be fine but timothy is the best for them, also buy alfalfa hay which is really good for baby bunnies and u can give them as much as they eat as babies but only give them a handful a day when they are adults😊also dont try to pick them up everyday, they love it when you give them lots of space too and they will enjoy ur company a lot if u give them their own space

I also have a tip, I know that you bought a cage but bunnies don't live in cages. It's either they can be living in an x-pen ( an exercise pen) or you can free roam your bunny.

u should give the bunny unlimited hey at all time thats way too small amount and those hey feeders are terrible the bunny cant get into the hey well enough bunnys loves to go under the hey and pick up the best pieces but that doesnt allow the bunny to do so also when litter training put the hey in the litter box half hey half the litter sense bunnys poop and eat at the same time
This is so good, but PLEASE, get an X pen. Your bunny will not be happy in such a small cage,(NEVER BUY PET STORE CAGES) And PLEASE, get a water BOWL, it is much better for bunnies to drink from, and you have to put more hay in the hay rack, until it overflows, and refill it whenever it is running low on hay, AND NEVER BUY FROM KAYTEE!! You did so good!

The cage is too small. A proper habitat is a large predator-proof run area in a safe and covered outdoor space, or if that’s not possible then just a large indoor pen can work
Rabbits can’t live in that small of a place or can’t get much water out of that water bottle just so you know❤
