He doesn't talk down to the kids. Good god, he was a legend.

No, Stan Lee never did that. Marvel Comics never did that. There are many authors with a target audience of young people who also never did that and who don't do that. I plan to write books and comics in the future and I won't ever talk down to children with my books, either.
Reading comics as a youth helped me in a myriad of ways. I learned important life lessons, learned to set goals for myself, learned the importance of formulating a plan for my life, learned new words and was able to expand and improve my vocabulary, etc.
I think that some people who have never read a comic book would be truly amazed by the things that you can learn from reading comics(that is, if they're the right ones, just like if someone is reading the right kinds of books).
As Superman actor(but he might be a former Superman actor now, I'm not sure)Henry Cavill said, Super Heroes, even though they're fictional characters are great role models for people(because what they stand for is real). As Cavill said, they're the perfect models for how to behave and how to conduct one's self and how to treat other people. I have no problem telling people that many of my role models are fictional comic book characters(along with a lot of real people, too, obviously).
Stan was indeed a legend and one of a kind. He was always one of my role models growing up and Stan Lee is still one of my role models and an inspiration for me(you're never too old to have role models and to be inspired). Great and intelligent conversation with these kids!
.
Still is a legend
Those kids are in their 50's now telling their own kids about comic books and how awesome they are. The circle of life.
🎶The circle of life! And it moves us all!🎶
The circle of life continues

More like grandkids then
They are the same age as Stan Lee was in this video
Notice how he talks to the children like they were grown ups?
He had an amazing talent to speak to everyone.
That's why the Marvel Universe became so relevant to everyone.
Word
I never thought of that. Marvel becoming relevant yes but not the first part that's amazing
He wrote big and fancy words in the comics....he never dumbed down writing.
Although he seemed to always be in his elder years in moments like this he was always a kid at heart. It feels so weird living in a world that he's no longer around in.
Indeed, However, Stan Lee, Will Always, Be In Our Hearts
It was so good of him TT_TT
I know what you mean. There was always something about Stan Lee that seemed immortal.
@blake bishop WTF?!!!!!!
why would you even say that about Stan lee?!!!!
@UCEpcVrrgmrIPQyvOppDiJvA you're just saying a bunch of blant lies
I love how he talks to them like adults. It shows that he really respects them
Yeah, he doesnt talk down to them at all. You should see some of those old talk show interviews Stan would do. The hosts are clearly talking down to *him* a grown man, which probably dissatisfied him a great deal even though he never showed it on camera.
Because the kids are asking scripted questions written by adults. DUH. LOL
These kids were actually asking pretty legit questions and were making very insightful sentences too which I'm completely amazed at.
Yeah these werent dumb questions they were asking. Shame their parents probably thought they were somewhere goofing off instead receiving an actual education from this guy.
Word
blake bishop Sure. Sure you are. (*cough* bait *cough*) Sure
blake bishop I’m saying that you are trolling
@blake bishop Na, you're just trying to get attention. I think he died peacefully surrounded by loved ones btw
I could just listen to him talk and tell stories for hours. He was a great storyteller. RIP
Word
Exactly
He spoke to them like mature people and they responded like mature people.
I really envy these kids. They got to be in the presence of the legendary Stan Lee.
Well at least Darth Vaders your dad.
JashNET Z haha that’s hella funny

@General Kenobi Ben?
Stan is so awesome! A lot of people thought the world of him! I met him at Comic Con in Cleveland, Ohio two years ago! Always wanted to chill with The Man! That's why his passing still stings💔😢😭
He was treating it like a professional interview! 😂
Those are not kids, those are our fathers asking our grandfather about his favourite marvel char
These kids listen and behave better than most college students today. They even ask more mature questions than adults ask today. Love how Stan speaks to them with intelligence and kindness, instead of messing with them like we do today in the social media era.
I miss Stan a lot...
I miss these kinds of days.
To be fair these kids are the one who have taught the current generation.

You haven’t been to college in a long time
@@mrpopo2822not the parents' fault, pal. Consumerism + technology + entertainment, that's what's different from the parents' childhood. Age of materialism, not parenting.
@@jovanym2931 thanks, I'm in college and have seen plenty
1:27 And he really nailed it, every-time and for all of his characters!
What a smart kid. Maybe a Millionaire today.

His cameo in Spider--Man PS4:
"You two always were my favorites!"
This is really a great video, it’s really nice to see how he interacted with the children. Did any of you see or hear the comments that Bill Maher made about him?
yeah, disgusting comments, he was bashed by the entire world already
It was disgusting.
Thank You Stan Lee. RIP.
Yea hes one of those people who try so hard to be “mature” people like that will die a boring life! instead of enjoying the wonderful things this world has to offer they worry about what other people enjoy i guess people like that will always exist no matter what tho
Bill should be ashamed of himself
Bill Maher is a douchebag. Stan Lee was a Godsend. Oh wait....
Clearly Stan communicates with kids same as with adults. That's why he was so good with comics
It is endearing how simple and honest he is in choosing spider man as his favorite.
I would have come up with a deep complex theory if asked the same...
"I can't have a favorite!"
"Anyway, my favorite is Spider-Man"
Love this guy. Wish I could have met him.
It’s nice how he talked to them like adults
Such a great, informative legend. It’s great that he educated so many kids.

He was the modern Homer, who gave us a new mythology, and for that, I will always be grateful to him..
@@Gangrel442003 High five for that my freind🤚. Stan Lee created an era, shaped a century, developed a new mythology and most of all gave us the gift of our childhood. Rip Stan lee, what a long blessed life. Imagine if Stan never picked up a pen...
And what, pray tell, did he plagiarize exactly? This inquiring mind wants to know....
RIP Stan Lee. He really made a difference in this world and definitely left a mark no one would forget

I'm 28 and *I* learned a few things from this video. That's the beauty about it. He talked at a level that could engage both children and adults.
Stan was such an amazing man. He talked to these kids like they were adults and gave such wise responses. A legend, I wish I could have met him
This guy is so ahead of the curve

@@Halloween931 huh?
I think it's great how Stan was always engaged with his fans
All these kids are probably in their 50s now.
Just what I thought. It would be interesting to hear from those who are in this video as a kid. If they were 10 years old in 1978, they are now 50.
Probably, I was born in 1980 2 years after this was made, and I'm almost 40. They might even be older.
@@lukeskywalker6809 The majority of kids in the video are teens. So mid 50s nowadays
@@kingsley2837 most likely preteen, they were around 11/12
Probably? Do you think there's a chance they all got stored in cryogenic freezers, just got released last week, and are still 10 years old? LOL
I could listen to Stan for weeks and not get bored. Such a legend.
1:32 I hope this kid grew up to be an excellent writer
He truly is a legend. Rest in peace Stan Lee, thanks for your inspiration.
He listened and gave actual answers is easy to dismay kids with a childish answer but he gave them a real tough out answer, that we can now watch and pick on his brain that way, we loved you Stan.
You care for the character when you relate to them
This is so sweet! Stan was such an inspiring sweetheart❤️💙 RIP!
I love how invigorated he is. There's a reason why everyone loved this man.
Stan Lee is a legend!!!
Look how young he was. He seems like the kinda guy you can't stop talking to
Looove this! If you were to watch a video of him a little before he passed he’d be exactly the same. He loved his fans!
I'll love you forever Stan. Rest In Peace
These videos just keep on coming! So much love for this man.
He loved what he did with all his heart. And he would not waste a second if he could put a smile on a kids (or grown ups) face
I find it sweet that Stan viewed all his characters as being like his children
Stan Lee had a child-like mind and that is why his characters resonated with many.
To think that these kids are like 50 now is crazy
Stan Lee lives on forever in our hearts
He truly was a man ahead of his time...thank you so much, Stan!
This vid is why Stan Lee will always be loved and remembered. ❤❤
That's why Stan is Stan.
He invented more dreams for kids
Watching all these videos of Stan reminds me why I still have high admiration for the man.
Forever the man, a true legend. RIP Stan Lee
In my opinion : nice voice and good accent typical american man and good looks. I think that if he didn't become a cartoonist he would have been a famous actor. His Fans and people of the world will never forget him. Thanks for all mr Lee.
Like I said before. Thank You, Thank you for caring about Stan Lee's Death CBC. Thank You :'(
Love seeing old videos like this with Stan Lee every kid knew every hero he made so legendary
These kids think more critically and ask better questions than almost all college students and graduates today.
I was one of these kids in the early 70's that had a chance to be on the children's show Kids are people to on the 1970's and Stan Lee was the guest he was Awesome and talked the same way to us like he did in this clip.
The Host of the show at that time was Geraldo Rivera.
Those Childrens already grew into a successfull person, StanLee blessed them. They'll most likely to continue StanLee's will.
This is very sad. I can’t believe he’s gone.
stan lee was a one of a kind. a class act :)
Stan Lee was 55 right here... man... he lived a long and good life!!
Reminds me of Mister Rogers that understands and loves children. Because Stan Lee is the Mister Rogers of Marvel
My god I love Stan Lee
Thank you Stan Lee for making our childhood bright and making endless and wondrous adventures through your imagination and creativity. Rest In Peace Stan Lee. You will be our Hero, Legend, Father and Grandfather of Marvel, and our Eternal Avenger.
He always sounds like Stan Lee no matter what he looks like.
The guy was so cool and humble R.I.P Mr Lee.
1:31 I'm so impressed by how clear and honest their explanation was of their thought process.
Whenever I get in a creative slump, it would take me days to get around to: "I'm not doing __, right." or "__ and __ thematically go together."
He really was a kindred spirit and an incredible person! Rest in peace Stan Lee😟 Excelsior!
This is incredible. Thank you! Please upload the whole thing :)
2:18 Take note current day Marvel... Take note...
@@SuperSaiyan3985 It's about the character, not an agenda. I think that was the point being made.
@@SuperSaiyan3985 MCU Spider-Man isn't anything like the comics. Especially the ones he was writing. They fail to capture the core of the character and they don't understand Spider-Man either. That's what OP is talking about. At least, that's what I think.
lmao current day Marvel who brought Iron Man and Cap to the big screen and popularized them so much so that ppl like them over Batman and Superman? pls miss me
@@Paulafan5 What agenda?
I wish my kid had grown up with such high-quality television.
Man it will be really weird watching a marvel movie without his cameos
RIP the greatest marvel hero (the createter )
Stan's enthusiasm is so infectious. ☕Uk
Rip uncle Stan :'( we will miss you
I didn’t even have to watch the video to know it’s a good one.

It’s too late for that man.
What sins?
Spider-Man and Stan are just greatly amazing !!!!!!!!
Why ??? Everyone knows........
Amazing person.
He is a child at heart never talks down to kids
Will miss you stan
Stan Lee was a good looking guy when he was in his prime. 6 feet 2 as well.
I really want to see the whole thing to this!
Hello! This is basically the full clip. It was a very short segment on that show. Thanks for reaching out!
A little strange hearing him being pretty low-key. I like how he talks to them and some of the insight he gives.
Those Kids were born in the late 1960s and early 1970s and 80s were probably watching the cartoons and some of live action tv shows like Spider-Man and Hulk with Nicolas Hammond and Lou Ferrigno. Also late 80 kids and early 90 kids was watching X-men the animated series and Spider-Man the animated series. But in my generation when my Dad took me to see the very first X-men movie and Spider-Man movie when I was four and Six years old and Iron Man at 12 it made me that I got to be a Marvel fan. But my Dad was a DC fan he knew about Superman and Batman because he didn’t know anything about Marvel until he heard it all over the news. Because my Father was born in the early 50s
1:13 Stan Lee predicted Kitty Pryde's creation 2 years before it happened.
Man, he was an alright dude
He's talking to them pretty maturely
Masashi Kishimoto and Stan lee no one can top these guys
1:00 the golden tears girl
1:13 the wall fairy.... OMG
He was a legend.
There needs to be a movie about Stan Lee
I bumped into Chris Evans in a coffee shop alone and I asked if he wanted to talk marvel and he said yes so we talked for three hours about other things as well
Those kids are obviously adults now and imagine if they watch this
