How To Lose Lower Abdominal Fat: What is the best way to lose lower belly fat and get a flat stomach from top to bottom? If you want to burn lower belly fat and get clearly defined six pack abs, it really just comes down to fat loss in general by lowering your overall body fat percentage. There is no way to specifically target lower ab fat using special ab workouts or dieting strategies - it just comes down to getting leaner in general. However, an important question to ask before even attempting to achieve those perfectly flat abs is whether or not it's even worth it in the first place. In order to get those truly "ripped abs" you're going to need to get very lean overall, and in many cases the diet restriction and side effects just aren't worth it. That's what we'll be mainly discussing in today's video, so make sure to watch it all the way through as it's a very important fat loss discussion that many people don't even consider when trying to get lean abs. - Jak na to + styl

My lower abs must be a cool place to be because literally any fat I gain goes straight there
I heard that's stress related
@@jeremybuban3990 not at all. Where fat is stored only has to do with genetics and that’s it.
Same it's like a big balloon
@@kkronical not quite, stress can make certain chemicals be overproduced in places like the stomach, which will bind to fat. Luckily, exercise itself is an effective antidepressant, so consistent exercise can be enough to ward off that chemical imbalance.
Thst being said, mental health is just as important as physical health anyway so always take care of both.
My brother...I'm VERY much a novice in terms of strength and muscle development, I spent my mid 20's to early 30's developing an excellent beer belly. Shoulder striations when I flex, can barely pinch skin on my tiny 14.5" biceps. 46" chest with a massive 44" belly. I think 80% of my bodyfat is in like an 8" span from my ribcage down.
You may not be telling people what they want to hear but this is refreshingly honest after seeing so many CZcams fitness influencers capitulate.
Its exactly what I wanna hear because he’s being real with us.
- Excellent diet.
- Fix your pelvic anterior tilt
- Strengthen your lower abs through down to top movements
- Strengthen your traverse abdomen through vaccuum pulling exercises
my goal isnt to get shredded, and i agree about sean, but its possible my body fat distribution is good enough to where i can get the lower abs visible while being in a reasonable body fat % (10-15) so i am curious
- im not worried about my diet, since im lean bulking rn. idk what body fat i'd say i am rn but i feel like if i lost like 3 kg (of fat) my abs would fully show (except for the lower part) but thats not my goal at least not right now
- how do i fix pelvic anterior tilt?
- i basically train abs once a week (most ppl recommend once or twice a week since compounds work them a lot), and i do a shit ton of compounds; deadlift 1x a week, barbell bench press 2x, dumbbell bench 2x (i do dumbbell and barbell benches in the same workout, 3 sets of each), incline dumbbell bench 1x, ohp 2x, bulgarian split squat 2x, hack squat 1x, leg press 1x, romanian deadlift 2x, wide grip pullup 1x, neutral grip pullup 1x.
what i do for my abs is 3x12-20 cable crunches, 3x6-15 hanging leg raise (i still do them on the captains chair, eventually i'll do them hanging off a bar, and then weighted), and 3x15-20 bicycle crunches (15-20 reps each side). but since im doing full body 5x i actually split these exercises up into separate days, so i guess im training abs 3 times a week (but not really). what are your thoughts?
- and lastly what kinda vacuum pulling exercises should i do?
Good advice. I would also add cardio in there too.
Thank you, sir.
Very solid advice. I respect you for calling out other creators that I follow. Some of whom pitch a message I know to not be 100% accurate.

I’ve never heard anything so sincere like this from the fitness industry: Thank you for not disingenuously trying to appeal to the masses of either extremes (ie, extreme leanness or mindless, BS body positivity) but reporting what people need to know in an honest, no BS, non-cookie-cutter way. People get themselves caught in obsessive-compulsive or even self-abusive cycles (like eating disorders or exercise addictions) in part for lack of information and often unrealistic cultural ideals. That 2% difference or so is not always worth the cost and I needed to hear that. TYSM
Ab workouts are never the waste but if you want some proper gains, or fat losses which are more important for gaining abs, you should follow some structured and personalized diet plan! I got mine from Dietarize, but there are many more great options (especially if you are lazy like me and hate counting calories and macros). I lost 7lbs of fat in my first month, but I have just started 💪
I love cheese
The worst thing I've heard through the years of training was, when I was at my very leannist physic, "did you stop working out?". I was so focused on losing BF that I shrank that much...
Love it man. One hell of a wake up call. Btw it's "physique"
In order to get sub 10% BF this year I was averaging 22k steps per day, volume eating (vegetable smoothies and a lot of plain chicken) to feel full, accurately tracking calories & macros daily and never having cheat meals. I would feel lethargic, lost of ton of strength on my lifts in the gym & still had a tiny bit of fat on my lower stomach. It may also be a bit of excess skin from when I was overweight. It's true you don't look impressive in a T-shirt at sub 10% body fat, you just look like an average Joe on the street. I like the 12-13% BF range since you look more impressive in a shirt and still have well defined abs, as well as a noticeable increase in strength and you don't feel like you are starving all day long.
My body fat is 12.6 and i can see only three “lines”

Lmao! Real question is would they even let you put all of that in there. If so, I say DO IT!
As someone who has gone through this process its not just reducing weight. I only had two visible abs when I was 20 pounds lighter. I'm 20 lbs heavier and have four visible abs. Training the ab muscles will help them show.
There are too many people that do not know this. You should treat your abs like any other muscle ultimately, why should they be any different? Hanging leg raises with ankle weights and heavy weighted sit ups gave me what others have jokingly called "cinderblock abs", developed enough to show through shirts.
What type of ab exercises should I do
@@kalebdunaway6425 bump, would like to know too. Sean has a multum of videos talking about not doing high intensity ab workouts but doesn't really tell you which ones to do except for cable crunches
@@HadezLord Cable crunches are commonly mentioned because they are good and easy to overload. Anything where you can progressively overload with relative ease should be fine.
@@kalebdunaway6425 You could do weighted crunches and leg raises, i find these two to work the best, just don't forget to progressively overload like you would do for any other muscle. For frequency, I recommend doing them on almost every training session.
First time watching a vid and not a short, still the same no b.s. i need from ya Sean. Thanks for keeping it real, I'm going to focus more on a healthy maingain now, and try the challenge later in life.
Sean, I really appreciate your honesty you do tell it the way it is without all the BS. This subject is sooo misunderstood and there are not enough people like you telling it straight. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Me personally. If you’re not making money off your physique (Bodybuilder, athlete, models, actor, etc.) then don’t kill yourself over a “perfect” physique. Besides, having low body fat is bad for your hormones.
It should never be about making money when it comes to having a perfect physique, if you can profit from it then that's a plus, I bodybuild because it's a sacrifice and reward to myself.
I just want to challenge myself man. I don’t care if I get paid it’s satisfactory to achieve hard goals.
@@MrCashmere101there's literally no reason to body build without making money off it. You can be in shape, but you don't need to go to extremes.
@shernigz Bodybuilding is a lifestyle, not a job. I like being in supreme shape all year long, that pays for itself.

Well said Sean, standing back and understanding the demands required in getting fat percentage in the low numbers is great advice.

Exactly what I needed to here, love the straight up simple content. I realized I really just need to tighten up my diet and do a little more cardio 👍🏼 which I already knew😂 but the reinforcement has given me the motivation to finally do it
100% agree. When I wrestled, my body fat went to 4%, I was hospitalized, and I still had fat around the lower lateral abdominal section. I prefer my physique at 12%. And as you mentioned, the systemic consequences are real. I had liver damage (luckily he regenerates) and still have kidney damage ( luckily both still function but at 65%).
Keep up the fight of trying to educate the mass.

I almost fell for this "must lose lower ab fat" ....I lost 5lbs while already decently lean at around 13/14% and everyone around me thought I shrank and whats even worse is my lower ab didn't changed that much at all...miniscule at best so totally not worth it just for a tad bit more ab definition

I highly respect this guy! Definitely what I needed to hear. I stay pretty lean, but if I don’t have shredded abs I feel like I could still have more fat to lose. But I’ve been cutting and honestly questioning if the cut is even worth it. Really seeing now that if I just want to be healthy, energized, and strong - the strict caloric deficits aren’t worth it.

When I was 17-22 years old I used to have very little fat there. Now my body stores more, and I feel like crap if I'm below 13%. So I'm around 17-20% body fat and happy. I will never get super lean abs but it's okey.
