How To Lose Lower Abdominal Fat: What is the best way to lose lower belly fat and get a flat stomach from top to bottom? If you want to burn lower belly fat and get clearly defined six pack abs, it really just comes down to fat loss in general by lowering your overall body fat percentage. There is no way to specifically target lower ab fat using special ab workouts or dieting strategies - it just comes down to getting leaner in general. However, an important question to ask before even attempting to achieve those perfectly flat abs is whether or not it's even worth it in the first place. In order to get those truly "ripped abs" you're going to need to get very lean overall, and in many cases the diet restriction and side effects just aren't worth it. That's what we'll be mainly discussing in today's video, so make sure to watch it all the way through as it's a very important fat loss discussion that many people don't even consider when trying to get lean abs.

my goal isnt to get shredded, and i agree about sean, but its possible my body fat distribution is good enough to where i can get the lower abs visible while being in a reasonable body fat % (10-15) so i am curious
      - im not worried about my diet, since im lean bulking rn. idk what body fat i'd say i am rn but i feel like if i lost like 3 kg (of fat) my abs would fully show (except for the lower part) but thats not my goal at least not right now
      - how do i fix pelvic anterior tilt?
      - i basically train abs once a week (most ppl recommend once or twice a week since compounds work them a lot), and i do a shit ton of compounds; deadlift 1x a week, barbell bench press 2x, dumbbell bench 2x (i do dumbbell and barbell benches in the same workout, 3 sets of each), incline dumbbell bench 1x, ohp 2x, bulgarian split squat 2x, hack squat 1x, leg press 1x, romanian deadlift 2x, wide grip pullup 1x, neutral grip pullup 1x.
what i do for my abs is 3x12-20 cable crunches, 3x6-15 hanging leg raise (i still do them on the captains chair, eventually i'll do them hanging off a bar, and then weighted), and 3x15-20 bicycle crunches (15-20 reps each side). but since im doing full body 5x i actually split these exercises up into separate days, so i guess im training abs 3 times a week (but not really). what are your thoughts?
      - and lastly what kinda vacuum pulling exercises should i do?

I would feel lethargic, lost of ton of strength on my lifts in the gym & still had a tiny bit of fat on my lower stomach. It may also be a bit of excess skin from when I was overweight. It's true you don't look impressive in a T-shirt at sub 10% body fat, you just look like an average Joe on the street. I like the 12-13% BF range since you look more impressive in a shirt and still have well defined abs, as well as a noticeable increase in strength and you don't feel like you are starving all day long.

I almost fell for this "must lose lower ab fat" ....I lost 5lbs while already decently lean at around 13/14% and everyone around me thought I shrank and whats even worse is my lower ab didn't changed that much at all...miniscule at best so totally not worth it just for a tad bit more ab definition

Great advice and thanks, I'm 57 and let myself go during lock down, I piled weight on, been working out since Christmas and I'm seeing and feeling the benefits, yet, my belly fat is being as stubborn af and is barely shifting. I'm losing weight and staying in deficit but have hit a plateau, I'm hoping in time I will break through this stubborn phase

I highly respect this guy! Definitely what I needed to hear. I stay pretty lean, but if I don’t have shredded abs I feel like I could still have more fat to lose. But I’ve been cutting and honestly questioning if the cut is even worth it. Really seeing now that if I just want to be healthy, energized, and strong - the strict caloric deficits aren’t worth it.

When I was 17-22 years old I used to have very little fat there. Now my body stores more, and I feel like crap if I'm below 13%. So I'm around 17-20% body fat and happy. I will never get super lean abs but it's okey.

Fantastic job ,SEAN!! And yes I was a bodybuilder in my college days...For me the cost /benefit analysis experiencing elite EXTREME low body fat is not worth it year round......I have had to deal with poor self esteem /body image because once you reach that elite level (drug free) I always feel I look fat....I have worked on the issue with counseling and spiritual work.
    God bless all of you!!!!
