I love Aer products especially the 1680 Ballistic Nylon. This pack was a little small for my size but it was a perfect fit for Irene. I didn't have many complaints about this pack. It's a pretty great gym bag.

She had the look, or death stares, when she glared at you that I can only best describe as a merging between Blade (Wesley Snipes) and Judge Dredd (Sylvester Stallone) when you dangerously discussed her shoe size....for shame, for shame! Hey, George. I loved this review and several of your other reviews. I learned enough about Aer to realize this is the perfect equipment for me. Your review of the fabric really meant a lot. I spent some time on their site and ended up going with the latest travel pack (small), the go tote, the gym tote and the city sling. I got all those pieces for the price of one designer bag, and I'm confident they will last much longer. It helped me so much to see the pack on your lovely co-star as well. I have the black camo version and I had to use the front section for my folders/books. I am lucky that I can wear sneakers to work so I don’t need to use the front section for shoes. It makes it easier to keep the clean gym clothes underneath the folders.

I'm Aussie and ngl I get real thirsty in the summer, not having the water bottle holder in the FP2 basically relegated the pack to going to work and back. Ended up copping a Patagonia Blackhole 25 for my day pack. Might end up giving my FP2 to my brother and cop this for myself seeing as they fixed all the issues I had with the pack :D

AER is popular among the backpack community. Personally, I sold my travel pack and my tech pack. Those zippers drive me crazyyyyyy. My coworkers knew when i was coming down the hall because of the jingle jangle.
Great review, great bag, still too small for me though. The Aer duffel pack 24L is even a bit small for me, Any news on a duffel pack 3 with maybe 26-30L in the works over there, George? I’d find a couple hundred laying around for that. I’d love to see more colors from Aer, too. Seems like black, blue, gray all the time anyway.
By the way, and nothing personal, but more Irene and less you wouldn’t be hard on my eyes. 😊

This bag is a touch too small for my taste. As AER products go, I dig the aesthetic and the idea.

George, I need advice. I'm looking for a 25-30L backpack with a built in laptop sleeve + fully padded hipbelt. The ospreys with laptop sleeves like nebulas and tropos dont have large hipbelts.
Their hiking lines don't have Laptop sleeves!
I'm planning a yr trip around the world and looking to onebag it up. I've tried different bags, just can't seem to find the right ones. The 40L ones that have both tend to be heavy at 3-4LBs. HELPPPPP ME GEORGE!!
Man its going to be hard to find a pack worth a damn under 4 LBS for travel. I would look at the Aer Capsule pack. Heavier than what you asked for but I think it will be excellent.
