I think you guys are doing a great job on the car BUT I would paint the firewall to match the car color and put the insulation inside the firewall.The engine compartment would look much cleaner.
The Yellow Dot
When tyres are made, they are almost never perfectly balanced, and most manufacturers will place a yellow dot on the section of the tyre where there is least weight. When fitting a tyre, you should line up this yellow dot with the valve stem as this is the heaviest point of the wheel. By aligning the lightest spot on the tyre with the heaviest point on the wheel, the tyre/wheel balance is as close to optimal as can be. So, you won’t use as many weights around the wheel to balance out the tyre and wheel. Fewer weights make for a more balanced wheel, which then means a quieter, more comfortable ride, and a longer-lasting tyre.
This used to be the case, however tire technology has changed and the dots now have a different meaning. Though each manufacturer use the dots for different reasons and that is it is a double quality check. Yellow for first inspection and red for second and final inspection. I have heard both theories. Heck some manufacturers don't use the dot method at all like Douglas, Forcelands, Vercellis, etc.
I work at a tire shop and mount all kinds of tires, Reverse Mounted tires are pretty hard to line up the yellow dot when the rim is face down on the machine. Also yellow dot don't work for directional tires or Asymmetric tire (Tires that says Inside & Ouside) Some manufacturers may have the yellow dot on the INSIDE side of the tire instead of OUTSIDE side of the tire which makes lining up the valve stem to yellow dot useless. Some Rims (Aftermarket) has 2 valve stems.
I like lining up the yellow dot if possible as it makes for a clean look. However lining up the dot does not always equate to "perfect" balance. Your cheaper Chinese tires will call for more weight no matter how perfectly you line up that dot. Japanese tires like Toyo, Nitto, Yokohama, Bridgestone, and Firestone will balance out better due to better tire molds. I have had Toyo Open Country ATIII on 35x12.50R20 which is a pretty big tire for a truck have perfect balance on 3 of the 4 tires. Meaning they called for no weight on the balancer.
From my experience Toyo/Nitto has the best Balance performance compared to higher brands like Michelin and Bridgestone. Though Toyo is not the best brand it is sure the best overall tire. Definitely top 5.

@@louiej886 Tire and tyre both mean a covering for a wheel, usually made of rubber. Although the steel rim of wagon wheels is also called a tyre. Tire is the preferred spelling in the U.S. and Canada. Tyre is preferred in most varieties of English outside North America. Of course, all English speakers use tire in the sense to grow weary. I'm from Australia.

They mentioned it before. They like doing them but getting parts for old cars like that. Especially cars people want to see rebuilt. It takes a very long time to get parts in and it’s also expensive.

I'm a little concerned that those control arms are going to impact the compressor pulley when in upper articulation. You all might really want to check that and maybe disconnect the damper and manually raise the wheel with the arms connected to see.
It should be good, the wheel will hit the fender before control arm hit pulley.
@@steveandrews1982 I doubt that. It looks like there is only about 1/4 inch of clearance between the arm and compressor. I’m sure they’ll address it soon. May have to ditch the AC on this build.

Hi there goonzquad always use a valve puller when fitting tyres with new valves as you can crack the valve causing tyre deflation. Keep up the good work .

Before dropping that back in too low you might reconsider it even in 1969 the factory left them a little higher to allow for extra suspension parts like sway bars ladder bars and torsion bars cuz with that much power its going to wheel hop or be a little crazy off the line
Would add two torque bars aswell, back and front. What I also would do is heat protect the components around those headers.

Finishing the camaro will really show your skills of a car builder. To me the camaro is the most desirable car you guys got. Old school American muscle was done hundreds of different ways. Now it's time for you to shine and show us your creative talent. Instead of strictly bolt on parts be creative handcraft something one off. Cut, grind, weld, fabricate something nuts as we say. Do this car right and you'll shine.

17x8 for the front, 18x9 for the back, with some meaty quality tires.

Keeps the heat in and apparently helps add a little power.Cooler in the engine bay as well.Love the colour of the wheels.Not much of a fan of black wheels on a blue car.But whatever you choose,I’m sure you’ll love it.Keep up the great work guys

There's been some actual research done on header coatings and while they do keep engine bay temps down, the difference in horse power from dyno run to dyno run was in the margin of error. The best thing to keep actual engine bay temps down is a wrap. But, I do agree, the right coating makes them look awesome.
Simeon. The one time in my life I got sunburn was on the deck of a ship in Southeast Asia. I fell asleep for several hours. I got burned to a crisp. Someone told me to go to the galley and have the cook pour white vinegar on me which I did. It took the sting right out of my skin.

Love the ideas but seriously you better put something on top of those fences because they’re too low and maybe electrify is way to go just like cattle fence and you definitely need sliding motorized gate at entrance

Can you believe that people are paying $15 for a 6.7 ounce bottle of this stuff? That's then less than one cup!! With a little math you can compute it equates to $285 per gallon!!

Guys are those wheels sitting on and hold by those lug nuts only? (by using those wide wheel spacers) I mean the wheel bore is not sitting on the car's hub so the lug nuts getting stressed hardly. the wheel bore is relieving the weight and stress for the lug nuts.

Im behind on the videos but great video like always and im sure you all probably know but imma throw it out just to make sure. When it comes to the fuel pump and fuel lines, if you both plan on putting the Camaro on E85 make sure the pump is compatible with E85 and make sure the fuel line is all PTFE due to E85 being corrosive. And another side note E85 being corrosive can cause a ton of issues if you let it sit for a while, E85 deteriorates faster and can gum up fuel pumps and really mess up injectors as well.

Man. I was in my mid teens through the real muscle car days, owned 3 new ones in a period of 6 yrs. When that car is finished that`s better than money in the bank. You`re crazy if you get rid of that one, it may be the fastest one you`ve had.
