MLB The Show 23 is a baseball video game by San Diego Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, based on Major League Baseball (MLB). It is available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The eighteenth entry of the MLB: The Show franchise, it was released on March 28, 2023. Miami Marlins player Jazz Chisholm Jr. is featured as the cover star, while The Captain Edition of the game features retired New York Yankees player Derek Jeter.[1][2]
For the third consecutive year, the Xbox versions of the game are available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no additional cost
The game includes a new game mode, named Storylines: A New Game Experience. This mode is set to focus on the Negro Leagues. The mode will feature eight players who played in the Negro Leagues, including Jackie Robinson, Buck O'Neil, Satchel Paige, Rube Foster, and more. The mode is a mix of gameplay and narration by Negro Leagues Baseball Museum president Bob Kendrick, highlighting moments from that player's career. For every new launch of MLB The Show, there would be a new season, featuring different players who also played in the Negro Leagues. These players would also become regular players in the other modes of the game.[4][5]
Other changes included Core Seasons in Diamond Dynasty, which would allow for 99 overall players to be obtained from day one, which take place every 6-8 weeks. For every new Core Season, only the players featured on that and the previous season can be used in Ranked and Conquest. This, however, wont affect other game modes in Diamond Dynasty such as Play vs CPU. Another new addition is Captain Cards, in which once a certain tier requirement is met for that Captain Card player, it would boost your team significantly. Proper two-way play was also implemented in this release; this makes it possible for players such as Shohei Ohtani to be used as both a starting pitcher and as a true designated hitter

-Now see the blue bar on the mound at the hill that's called pitch confidence that means:
It depends on game situation.
- If your team leads blue gets higher better command all around just an idea 💡.
- if team is behind the other way around.
- 4 seam fastballs take up a lot of energy regardless of situation because you grip it throw it a specific spot. 4 seam fastballs by repeat affects command and you get tired regardless of situation as 4 seam fastballs regardless pitching hitting are weak vs bunt touch ball.
- green energy means fresh.
- Yellow means ok energy.
- red means getting tired.
- ! Point means out of energy.
- substitution means call up a batter off the bench Clark kellogg where are you in know ya personnel.
- out of position means severely negatively affects everything just an idea 💡 except arm strength and defensive range meaning how fast your player runs 🏃‍♂️.

Now you only warm up 2 pitchers in the bullpen.
Warm up means all about timing depending on your pitcher in 1 inning player is ready in just an idea full strength better command location pitching paint corners get batters to chase regardless.
- now the stretch and toss: less energy is used now remember it depends on how tired your pitcher is depending on what game mode your play if you play franchise it plays a role but just an idea 💡 regardless Clark kellogg where are you in know ya personnel.
- stamina affects how many inning ls can pitcher pitch.
- for example 75 hits per 9 h/9, strikeouts per 9 k/9 walks per 9 bb/9, hr/9 ,75 ctrl control and 99 break that means average paint corners get batters to chase but 20 inch break which means fir example slider away think just an idea 💡 slider swung on and miss strike 3 retired the side that ends the inning.
- velocity means how hard to throw baseball but Remember fastballs pitching hitting are weak vs bunt touch ball.
- fielding how well you catch ball defending get 3 outs.
- reaction how well you defend against ground balls and especially players that are hard to strikeout especially against players that can bunt touch ball.
- how to counter opponents that bunt touch ball 99 speed defensive range.
