Holy crap...this butter sauce is amazing!!! Just watched your video of this as a popcorn topping and needed a snack. So good! I will also completetly admit to licking the spatula of all remnants in the pan.
I use a microwave popcorn popper with a vented lid. I use a spoon to pour a little topping distributed over the top, put the lid back on, and shake the bejesus out of it. Then repeat until you get good coverage. You can do the shake method with a towel over the top of a bowl or use a paper bag too. Yes, some of the pieces may get a little wetter than others but because some of the pieces aren't very wet at all it all kind of works out with pieces having different textures/coverage.@@upittman1
So great. I also added red pepper flakes, basil and garlic with a tiny bit of salt. Great on top sourdough bread, salad and baked potatoes +. Thank you so much for this recipe 💗😋
You are amazing! Thank you for helping us vegans who are also health conscious, to enjoy our plant based food with amazing taste and health benefits!❤️
Anja, this is delicious! Thank you so much! I had some on a baked potato, there was no need for butter at all! I won't ever be wasting aquafaba again, to think I've been pouring it down the drain all this time 😭
HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH THESE IDEAS ??!!!?? You're channel is just sooooooo majorly under appreciated.... and this recipe has sooo much potential to be used in soo many other ways ... You're Amazing and soo smart... 🥰👍👍👍👍💝✌️
If you wanted to thicken it would corn starch, potato starch or tapioca work? I’d like to be able to try it on toast. Also, I’ve noticed when I put wet products on my popcorn my popcorn get soggy, so does this keep your popcorn crispy?
Try it in a spray bottle. I keep liquid aminos in a spray bottle and mist it on my popcorn. Works great and no soggy popcorn. Looking forward to trying this recipe!
Evey time I melt vegan butter or use anything with coconut oil on popcorn, its upsets my stomach as if I consumed a dairy product(I am lactose intolerant), with this alternative, in its liquid form it looks like it would go good on popcorn and not upset my stomach. Best part is it's only two of the most easiest ingredients I can find in my pantry when its fully stocked. After my next grocery run I'm going to try out this recipe and report here how well it worked out for popcorn, although I do admit it might be too liquidity, but we'll see.
Wow!! It looks amazing! thanks for the recipe! What do you think? Can this be used in baking? Like for sourdough or as an oil substitution in baking with no yeast? Thanks for the response! Vitek
🤍💛🤚Thank Yous Anya , I definitely want to try this recipe. I often freeze the AquaFava in plastic tubs when Not right away using . Defrost in the fridge and or counter right prior to prepping . I would be guilty of the , ' please smother the Popcorn with d butter' at the movie theaters before. So Happy to return to My FamiLys Margerine brand Country Crock since the 1970s. They also have the Margerine stick baking type of C.C. brand. My Parent's also had the other' Butter' too in our Home growing up I just recently discovered a Vegan Butter called Violife , the Best Butter I ever had! ( including the other' ). There is really No Excuse. I ultilize marge' for baking , cooking and making sauces all the time , Delicious! As a Foodie for Years , I Fb foodblog Veganized recipes to know : ) ❤🩷 Interesting recipe without the Oil too 🤍
I'm so hopeless! When I cook chickpeas in my Instant Pot, I add a couple cups of extra water so I'll have lots of aquafaba, but I can't resist pouring it in a quart mason jar and drinking the WHOLE THING when it's deliciously warm out of the pot! I keep thinking I'll save it for a recipe LOL. (BTW it's not actually "brine," which I believe implies salt -- (I guess unless you buy salted chickpeas). It's just "bean water" (aqua = water and faba = bean). :)

So good!

How awesome! totally plan to make this!!
Excellent!!
brilliant, wondering if it might be whippable after it's cold...maybe add some gelatin
Really cool technique. Can this be frozen? And keep its "oily" properties after defrost?
I haven't tried. Let me know if you do :-)

Can you use the liquid from other canned beans if you don’t have chickpeas?
👍! Ty! 🙂
Pleasure
Will this keep in the fridge in a sealed glass jar? Want to try this, but as a single person I might need to store some.
Yes it will
@@cookingwithplants Thank you so much Anja, for the recipe and the kindness of a personal reply!
