What's your top tip for beginners?
Go for template players, they are template for a reason. Can't go wrong with that
Play your own game and have fun! And don't over-react to results, give your selections time to perform. Oh, and a classic beginner mistake is to go for good players rather than one's who score well in FPL. E.g. Kante is world class but not someone you want!
Set a reminder alarm to check your team each week. It only takes a couple of minutes to check you have the right captain, bench order and team selection. It also gives you a chance to transfer players out if they're injured.
I don't understand I made a team for gameweek 1 on Saturday but I haven't got my points for the 2 games
How are players substituted? If a player isn’t there on a game week, which player will be substituted among bench

I’m a beginner - I think you used the term “clean sheets” referring to the goalie and defender positions…what does that mean? And what is a “fixture?” Thanks for the tutorial!
a team which has a clean sheet is a team who dont concede any goals during a single match
What about Mo Salah triple captain game week 1?
You're probably better off waiting for a double gameweek, however triple captain salah at the start of last season vs Leeds went very well for a lot of people as he bagged 3 goals. Personally i would wait but it is a strategy that will give you an early head start IF it goes well
