    How is it holding up? Is it still working? Do you have any issues with it charging?

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Great question. It’s actually going strong and I have never touched it since I installed it first. My install was such that rain water does not get to it (both light and solar panel) and the light fixture gets direct sunlight only after 3 pm or so. I think this has helped kept it in good shape.

    I don't like that the solar panel cannot be positioned facing up, towards the sun.
    I think it might hinder potential charging capability.

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před rokem +1

      Yes although that is true but in my practical experience if it is facing the sun even at an angle, it seems to work good enough. I have prioritized keeping it under a ledge to protect from rain but it is still getting a good amount of sun throughout the day.

    Do you have to set “on “or “auto”?
    We just installed from Costco 3 days ago, but didn’t work

      I believe its Auto. Since I posted this video the light seems to be working fine in my case.

    I have been charging my batts on the off position , for 5 day in brights sun and my lamp is still very dim at the highest setting . Lamp is basically brand new . Any idea what it could be ?

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před rokem

      Thats odd. You might want to check the battery in case thats somehow faulty or the wiring maybe loose perhaps. I have had this lamp for a while now and its working fine for me. It maybe a lemon if all checks out fine.

    How much time of light do you get from full charge? Like what's the battery capacity at full brightness? Please help

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před rokem

      That’s a good question. Unfortunately I have not been able to measure the time it will last if it is left on indefinitely since the most it will light is for 120 seconds till it is triggered on again with motion.

    • @PowerScissor

      There are two 1800 mAh 18650 Lithium batteries included. So Probably not 1 full night if they ran 100% duty cycle on time. It's like a really bright flashlight...and you won't run a flashlight for days.
      Since it only comes on a few minutes at a time it can last over night or a few nights and recharge during the day.
      I ran one without using the solar panel with (2) 3,000 mAh 18650s and fully charged I got about 3 weeks before swapping batteries.

      Although I am not an expert on this but in my opinion you can use it as it will provide some humidity protection as well as electric insulation.

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před 2 lety

      Unfortunately no. The only way to judge this is if the light starts becoming weak after a full days charge.

    Hmmm if this is solar powered why do you need batteries?

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před rokem +1

      All things “solar powered” use batteries as the power has to be stored in something. FYI.

    What size batteries does it takes?

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před 11 měsíci

      Lithium Ion ICR 18650 3.7 V 66.6 Wh battery. This is a special rechargeable battery not the regular AA or AAA. Hope this helps.

    • @PowerScissor
      @PowerScissor Před 9 měsíci

      Any Lithium Ion 18650 will work. They are all rechargeable. They are a very common battery and you will have no problem finding them.

    Why do my lights trun on during day time?

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před 2 lety +1

      Could be a problem with the sensor or there might be a dark shadow where the light is. For me it still works as expected.

    • @smattt
      @smattt Před rokem +1

      If you haven't figured this out already, it's because your first button is set to "Test". Set it to one of the other options (30s, 60s, 120s) and it will only turn on when it's dark.

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před 11 měsíci

      I don't think that would be possible since the batteries it accepts are different in size to AA batteries. Of course you can hack it together 😁 if are the creative type.

      The charger will not charge NiMH chemistry correctly...so unless you also replace the charging circuitry don't do it.

    How much time the lights last in on position?

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před 2 lety

      The light allows you to set it at 30 sec , 60 sec or 120 seconds. So depending on how you set it up it will turn on for that length of time each time it detects motion. So if there is constant motion it will stay on or else turn off automatically after the set period of time. Hope this answers you question.

    • @GoodCleanReviews
      @GoodCleanReviews  Před rokem

      No I don’t believe you can as the primary trigger to turn it on is motion so it will defeat the purpose of the light.
