    The C&NW had an impressive fleet of dash 9 locomotives as I really liked their paint scheme with the green stripe and they had a unique/ wonderful sounding horn from my perspective.

    Very cool Drayton! These units being delivered without air conditioning was something I didn't know about the C&NW Dash 9s! Could you imagine the revolt that would happen if the current Railroads tried that today?

    Seems like lots of modern wide cabs, but there is a pent up demand for more SD40-2's and SD45s, especially the most common SP SD45 and some Rio Grande SD45's.

    I ran the 8701 and 8646 often when they were assigned to the MPRCB and MCBPR pool....
    The "rivet counters" are funny...simply because in reality...a locomotive is just a machine.....

  • @PantherLineProductionsofOhio

    I am planning to get 8700 and maybe 8727. If you guys do the Dynamic Duo, I will order them right away.

  • @stuartaaron613
    @stuartaaron613 Před rokem

    Nice video and locomotives, but I think you got the story about the 8601 backwards. It was the first production C44-9W built (as opposed to CSX's early Dash 9's in late Dash 8 carbodies). Because it was the first GE borrowed it as a demonstrator unit, painted in the special black paint scheme, but because it belonged to C&NW it was numbered 8601. Also, all of the early Dash 9's had the "goiter" side frames, not just the 8601.

    Since everything is made of plastic, just wondering will you guys offer the Trinity early 5851 (Two versions without end cut outs) and the current 6241 covered hopper? Those cars would fill the void on mixers. You offer three verison of the Thrall carbon black hopper. A UTLX 30,000 general service tank car with its 16,000 panda bear, black and HOKX gray siblings would be great too.

      @vuurvrrailfanner4656 in short, yes. As long as you have at least 22 inch radius or bigger curves you should be fine! The larger the better. The smaller it is under 22in tends to cause derailments
