tbf Hip Hop has always copied other cultures as well just like other cultures copy Hip Hop. Let's just use the Gangster shit for a minute, that Gangster shit came from the Mafia not Hip Hop and real Hip Hop OGS know and admit to that cuz blacks wasn't killing eachother for no reason on a huge scale like they started to after adopting the Gangster culture, so where did the Gangster Culture come from to be implemented in Hip Hop? Everything is a copy of something else in one way shape or form, nothing on Earth is actually new. The Mafia got they gangster culture from some other group of people hella long ago more than likely as well and just implemented it into their Italian Mafia culture which eventually made it to Hip Hop and so on.... Culture is not to be segregated the point of culture is so everyone can enjoy something and it not just be for this specific group of individuals. Mexicans don't get mad at people for wearing Sombreros n eating tacos n shit even though that's part of Mexican culture not everyone else's culture. Tf you so mad about? Live your life how you wanna live your life and boom you should be happy no reason for you or anyone else to be mad bc someone does something you think only you should be able to do like c'mon son get a grip of life dawg. I'm white tellin you this nobody hates you besides them racist weirdos of all races and skin colors shit I've met black people who are racist towards other black people, the racists who hate black people dont want shit to do with Hip Hop culture if they hate you I can tell you that from experience as a white boy myself who was called the N word as a kid cuz I wore Jordans and listened to Hip Hop and have black family members so I was considered the N word to the racist whiteboys from my area who did hate the culture & the people of that culture regardless of skin color and wanted nothing to do with it bc they hated it obviously.

@@DMitch-ny3jb Hip hop is specifically tied to a specific ethnic group, the its elements are tied to that ethnic group, it grew out of Black American disco and funk, the sound system culture came from Black American djs (even Herc admitted this), modern graffiti started amongst Black Americans in Philly, the knowledge aspect of hip hop grew out of Black conscious movements that were created by Black Americans, break dancing is a direct evolution from Black American dance. And yes, Caribbean brothers and sisters participated in that in its earliest days.
Basketball was created by a Canadian-American teacher that had random white kids play a sport in a school during segregation. It's not tied to any specific white ethnicity and whiteness isn't an ethnicity nor specific culture, it's just an every changing designation that includes lighter skinned people with certain features from Europe, western and central Asia and sometimes northern Africa. What's the culture basketball ever belonged to?
Kung fu is Chinese culture despite many others participating in it, Italian opera is Italian despite others performing, r&b, jazz, funk, blues, hip hop, disco, house, etc are Black American culture despite others participating. Basketball is just a pastime some dude created.

@@RebelWithoutABoss I don’t need a hip hop history lesson bro I’m very well aware of hip hop culture and I love it but it being a black art form doesn’t mean that black ppl are the dictators of what can and can’t be done within hip hop! You can and should pay homage to the greats like Rakim, Kane, Grandmaster Caz, DJ Kool Herc and Melle Mel and acknowledge the creators! I fully support that! But they can’t dictate and decide what can and can’t be done on hip hop music! The god is 100% correct in his analogy about a black man speaking on “Asian” disciplines. For example, the Chinese elitists were so offended by Bruce Lee’s criticism of classical martial arts that they merked that brotha because he dared to speak on their culture while being part gwailoh (white foreign devil). To us black folks, Bruce looked Chinese, but to pure Asians, he was not observed as such by everyone. With that said, a black person raised in Asia would be totally ignored by Asian society if he dared to speak as a non-guest in their culture. Let’s be real here, folks.

Pretty obvious how Vlad wants to dictate the culture. Eminem on the other hand, isn't dictating anything. He's just doing HIM. Vlad promotes the crime element of Hip Hop instead of the musicianship of being a recording artist. He pulls that BS on rappers that don't have a criminal background like when he interviewed Tink. He kept pressing her about street shit in Chicago. Then made her look like she's "uncool" because he couldn't get any street dirt on her. He insults our leaders and keeps pressing rumors about our deceased celebrities being gay (Prince). Vlad is a tabloid journalist.

It seems that Black Americans and puerto ricans were always in competition lol. From my knowledge there was never a sit down like we are creating this hip hop thing and tadaaa nah lol. First of all Hip hop took from every genre so its not "original" All Black americans didnt like hip hop. Also, there was more sophisticated music folks listened to. I heard if it wasnt for a so called latinos hip hop documentaries wouldnt exist. Mostly so called latinos were the only folks holding Black americans down. I know Puerto ricans who were adults when hip hop came out and said puerto ricans were deep and were respected gansters. Every one should be glad Bambataa called for ethnic group peace.

Hip-Hop went through a musical genesis like every other genre. That doesn’t mean it’s not original 🤦🏽‍♂️

Hip hop comes from jazz, funk and Black disco. Puerto rican nor jamaican culture played any part in the creation of hip hop. The latinos and caribbeans that participated in Black American culture were cosplaying as Black Americans. We could take puerto ricans and jamaicans completely out of hip hop and nothing would change. Because only Black Americans have pushed the culture of hip hop foward.
