    Great video as always my dpf light has come on twice in recent weeks even though I've been doing longer journeys what percentage would you say this needs doing at?

    Hi Jimmy we have a 2015 a3 that brings up dpf effencey below threshold we have had dpf removed from car and cleaned but code reappear after 3k miles engine code is cxxb

    Hi Jimmy, great vid! Got this motor in my A5 and scanned it with VCDS and have the exact same DPF fault codes, constant limp mode so gonna have a crack at this. Noticed in some of your videos you pump the cleaner in through the differential pressure sensor hose, but in the big Audi lumps you usually go in through the exhaust temp sensor port…does it matter which way you pump it in, or is it just ease of access? Many thanks and keep up the good work! 😊

    Hey Jimmy
    Having issues with A6 3.0TDI V6
    DPF faults
    P246300 Soot content too high
    P200200 Trap efficiency below threshold Bank 1
    Ran cleaning agent through DPF.Readings on live data show 6hPa at idle and 30 hPa at 2500 rpm on particle differential pressure.
    With these readings you would imagine these fault codes will erase.But they won’t.Still stuck in limp mode.I also went to the extent of removing the egr valve/cooler and cleaned that out.PIG of a job.Why won’t fault codes erase.It doesn’t want to force a regeneration on diagnostics either.Im using the Delphi system

      Hi @jimbomacintyre did you get anywhere with your A6?
      I've had the exact same issue. On top of what you've done I got the dpf removed for professional clean. Changed the differential pressure sensor (done the adaptation), got a low enough reading of back pressure. Still goes back into limp mode with the same error code.

      Try adaption on egr valve.i striped everything including egr,egr cooler and throttle body to remove carbon build up.I erased fault codes and carry out adaption that egr was replaced

    Another great video - I have an A4 with the exact 2 lights on - flashing glow plugs and check engine light. Could you recommend a budget diagnostic tool to get the job done please? The Regen, reset of lights and adaptations. Just a home mechanic and wondering if there is a cheap tool to get me by for these sort of jobs - thanks again for the videos and pro tips, it's greatly appreciated

    • @LucasVWGolfR
      @LucasVWGolfR Před 2 lety +1

      Carista will do those things. Its a OBD2 module you plug into the diagnostic port, and then an app for your smartphone. The dongle is a small one-off cost, and the app is subscription based, but pays for itself over and over.
      It cant do the adaptation (you need quite an advanced scan tool for that) but it can trigger a DPF regen and clear error codes as well as other coding tweaks on the car.
