Thanks Forest! Great insight and tips. I’m still working on all these things in my productions. I think my biggest hurdle is knowing when a song is finished. I tend to over produce my music. Sometimes too much is too much. You always know the perfect amount of production for a song 👍

I dig the variety in the tracks, but how do you think about recording vs live. I mean if the artist are to play the song live, couldn’t that patchwork approach cause problems with all of thise parts?

I just wish the basic material you're given to work with wasn't so monotonous and banal. I know endlessly repeating 3-note melodies over the same four chords is the in thing in pop and country, but I hope one day we will hear a bit more interesting songwriting in those markets.
