Thanks for the comment! I normally ask others afterward. That's a good way to what stuck so to speak. Ask in a way that they cannot answer yes or no. For instance: How did you perceive the message and in what way does it affect your work?

As a former military leader and developer of leaders, when we did briefs, we also did “back briefs” or “talk-backs.” Everyone not only knew their expectations, but also the tasks of others on their team thanks to open communication that required clearly and concisely sharing of information. You can also call it “feedback.” The point is to never leave instructions and expectations without also including time for feedback of their interpretation.
