This is probably the best performance of a Queen song by somebody else. RIP Freddie and George!
This was Freddie’s favorite song as well. George Micheal did it so much justice. Amazing singer and dearly missed.
Yes, he did.:)
😫😫
Was Freddie’s favourite song that he himself had written. He considered the work he did with Montsy as his greatest achievement.
I was at this concert 😊. If anyone was going to 'nail' this song then it was going to be George. He was the only one who got close to Freddie's ability that day.
I was there as well . Perfect fit for this song . Does this also mean we have sung backing vocals on a hit record ? I was right by the sound stage but strange to think some of those performing on the day , including George , are no longer with us
I agree absolutely. George Michael's performance here is nothing short of spectacular. I've often thought of all the singers who have stepped in for Freddie with Queen, all amazing singers in their own right, but none come as close as George Michael did in delivering the kind of vocal brilliance that measures up to Freddie.
I envy everyone who was there that day. 💖
I was also a mesmerized backing singer that day
Yes
What George could do with his voice was utterly amazing. He could convey all of his emotion through his voice. That's what I feel elevated, his delivery of a song. He was like no one else.
The best cover of this song
The only cover I’ll accept .... George was fantastic!!
This is the only Queen cover I will ever listen to. George was the only person who could ever do justice to this song, two legends, they are sorely missed!
Yes, yes and yes! ❤
George was, besinde Freddie, the greatest voice that the UK has ever produced.
The look on Brian May's face at 6:38 is priceless. And John Deacon is amazing too.
George did an excellent job .. hit that note at the end ("somebody to") very well and nice touch then letting the audience sing the word "love" after it
The way this guy tackled and performed this song the way he did, he really went up in my estimation! RIP George and Freddie.
It was the best of the tribute concert along with Brian's too much love will kill you.
"E il silenzio fu assoluto, nel regno della musica!" George stratosferico! STRATOSFERICO!😊🤩
George nailed that song. The whole tribute concert is awesome. As was your reaction once again ! Well done Rebeka !!
Thank you.:)
This was amazing by George nobody and nobody could of done a performance on this level ... outstanding 👌
Could you imagine in the being in the middle of this crowd. You've waited hours for him. He's halfway thru' singing and then nature calls. My top 3 male singers. Mercury, Bowie and Michael all gone. He was also a down to earth guy who despite a bad childhood still kept his humour. A nice guy And he could make fun openly take small parts in "Little Britain", "UK has Talent" czcams.com/video/WKozpAeHu9w/video.html . being in bed with Ricky Gervais, (that was really funny ) czcams.com/video/eTacNBS23Fw/video.html ... in an interview on US TV he laughed about the US Police who tried to trick him into ...you know what. Miss him.
That's one of the best performances i have ever seen in my life.
A wonderful moment of music history unfortunately for a sad reason.
George Michael, Elton John, David Bowie, Queen, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Mick Hucknall are a generation of outstanding musicians with so much talent and amazing unique voices, that were able to write so many wonderful songs and to entertain people in very special ways.
I love it and I'm proud to be part of that generation.
I'm so excited to see you reacting in your very own special way that i love so much. 🤩🤩🤩🤗
Thank you so, so much for your kind words.:)
Definitely check out James Hetfield (Metallica) do STONE COLD CRAZY!!
George was the BEST on this concert.
@@michaelageorge7517 Here were my favorites from the Tribute - #1 George Michael, #2 Joe Elliott, #3 James Hetfield, #4 Axl Rose, #5 Seal 👏👏👏
The best version since Freddie. R.I.P Freddie & George.
I Love your reactions to George Michael🔥 he really was one of a kind with an amazing and unique voice he is sadly missed, they don’t make them like him anymore
Thank you so, so much.:)
One amazing singer in tribute to another. Devastated that we have lost them both now. Thank you for keeping them alive among the younger folk - without sounding too old! (I'm 49). x
You're very welcome.:)
Freddie loved careless whisper and he loves Georges voice.
Sigh* Truly an incredible performance by George Michael, of an Awesome song by Queen. Sadly both Freddie and George are gone, but never forgotten. Somebody to Love, isn't that what it's all about? Love is such a big word with many meanings. In fact there are 7 words for love in the Greek language.
1: Eros: romantic, passionate love.
2: Philia: intimate, authentic friendship.
3: Ludus: playful, flirtatious love.
4: Storge: unconditional, familial love.
5: Philautia: self-love.
6: Pragma: committed, companionate love.
7: Agápe: empathetic, universal love.
If more people acted with love in there hearts, truly the world would be a much better place.
Another beautiful, awesome, and insightful reaction, Rebeka. Keep up the great work, and continue to help keep great music alive, one song, one video at a time. ✌❤🙏🎸🎹🎶🎵👍😊
I love your passionate reactions to Queen songs and I so agree with you about George Michael's brilliance. He was the perfect choice for this song and Freddy would agree becuz he loved George Michael's voice too. More Queen please! 🤩
Thank you so much.:)
Absoute best rendition of "Somebody To Love" by anyone. George who was an amazing vocalist absolutely stole the show at the Friddie Mercury tribute concert. To make this so much more powerful & heartbreaking was the fact that just 4 months prior, George had found out that his Partner Anselmo, was diagnosed with Aids. George still pulled this off flawlessly! A+++
By far, the best performance of that historical concert (although I also enjoyed Seal doing "Who Wants To Live Forever?")
Who cares if George sung half-tone lower than the original? Come on!
Legendary song, legendary singer and a non-less legendary band.
Great video Becks, it's good to see you again 😊 😉
Thank you so much.:) The video that is. blocked will come soon, there I was still sick, but I'm much better, thank you.:)
@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusic You're truly welcome. Keep it up just like this
George Michael has one of the greatest voices in music. He has so many great songs. Freedom, got to have faith, that love song that he wrote about his turmoil with his then partner. Need to react to the more of George Michael.
Can’t wait to see your reaction to Led Zeppelin’s babe come on home.
I will try to do my best.:) Thank you for you're suggestion.:)
I just like to say, Thankyou for react this perfomance of my Favorite singer, I'm crying now, and please react more george's songs...
A legend paying tribute to another... ❤️
This is the best non Freddie Queen performance anyone will ever perform R.I.P Freddie and George 🌹
The singer that sung Freddie best. And also GM one of the greatest of all time, not only singers but also songwriters.
Agree😊
George Michael was a great singer, too bad he didn't go out on tour with Queen because it would've been epic! I love the version of him and Elton John doing "Don't let the sun go down on me"❗❗
I'm listening to music over 60 years this is one of the greatest performances ever. Also George was one of the greatest singers ever. RIP George, you sure provided tons of enjoyment for music fans everywhere. Best of luck on yr channel
The only person in my view that is qualified to fill Freddie's shoes
Agree!! And those are big shoes!!
BIG SHOES.:)
GM one of the greatest in all fields. Lyrics writing, music writing, singing, voice. But he can sing the softer songs. For the stronger ones like hard Rock and light metal they did he does not have the growl of Freddie. Freddie combined capability for both clear and growl.
@@innosanto Agree! Freddie’s growl is bar none!!
Queen actually asked George to join the band as their lead singer. He respectfully declined of course. But that’s how well even they thought he did.
Miss freddie, the greatest singer of all time
The BEST 😃
@@debramoore7513 next to George. George was no worse than Freddie.
@@michaelageorge7517 Love George Michael, too! You must be a big fan! 😍
I was there that day. I was eleven years old. It was incredible and this was the best moment from a whole series of great moments.
He was a very great singer
this is one of my favorite queen songs because the vocal lines are among the best in history greetings
Yes, I agree.:)
Agree - My favorite Queen song! 💗💗
I've heard many reactions on CZcams regarding this amazing cover. You are one of the few ones who included this speech. Respect (And he's also left us).
Two amazing talents taken far too soon.
Yes yes yes. Also, yes.
In fact I usually don't like live performances but this one is legend ❤️
Watch the rehearsal for this its staggering
i love George Micheal
Fantastic performance and wonderful reaction
Hi. I want to thank you for choosing & sharing this song. This is my favorite song .... which is saying a lot. I have watched this cover by George Michael at this tribute concert many times , and I react just as you did. I am an older man , but my reaction is the same as someone young like you. I love it. I have huge, huge respect for George Michael and share your description of him , his speech, his talent, his respect for Freddie Mercury & Queen, his exceptional voice, and his spirit. Thank you for this ! ⛓️🔥⛓️
This made me cry has gay man l really need to hear this words can't how thankful l am for reacting to this video yes there only 1 Freddie but there only 1 George Michael
Thank you.:)
I love your reactions.
This was a sad day. A lot of tears were shed. I know, I was there.
Liza and Liz Taylor were there taking part. Phenomenal.
This was one of the best performances on a day of great performances. So many stars wanted to take part and many did.
Stay well sweetie and I look forward to seeing your next video.
X
Thank you so much.:)
@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusic
No problem. You are one of the few people who's reactions are genuine and from the heart.
Stay well
I envy you to have those memories!! Awesome!!
When you have time I hope you react also to George Michael - Killer (Papa was a Rollin Stone) live in London.
His performance that night was magical
I will try to do my best. Thank you for the suggestion.:)
The great relief of hearing someone sing in the correct way and with a full voice full of harmonics that is released with all its amplitude instead of contracting and tearing like a plaintive rocker.
Now THIS is doing a song justice.......................you too Becky :)
Thank you.:)
2 thumbs down??????? What the hell is this? 2 People with no taste whatsoever????????? That should be banned.
HI Honey,
I was imagining when dear George found himself at Heaven's pearly gates: THERE comes beautiful Freddie, arms wide open for a big hug and he's saying "WELCOME, George DARLING! I want you to meet someone very special... This gorgeous creature is my dearest Montsy! Let's go meet Jimi and the others..."
Wow OMG Marcie .... That’s exactly how I imagined it!! I’m including my mom in that reunion. She was a Queen fan, too! 😫 Bicycle Race was her favorite song!
Omg this is so beautiful, it made me cryyyy
George is the only other guy that could equal Freddie in this song. Freddie had his way of singing this. George sang it and put his own twist on it. This concert was done in 1992. I had to look up the statistics for HIV. He was right on it with what he said. Almost 40 million people have HIV. Everyone stay safe.
Killer voice
It’s interesting to note that after The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert; and before George Michael released his “Five Live” album that features two of the songs he performed at the concert, there were rumors that George Michael would’ve stepped in to replace Freddie Mercury. But both Michael as well as Brian May squelched those rumors because both were working on different projects; May especially because he was not only working on his solo album Back to the Light, and working on the tracks Freddie recorded before his death that appeared on the Made In Heaven album.
Somedy tooooooooooooooo, lo o ooo oo ooo ooo ooo veeeeeeee!
body body body body bodyyyyy
i love that recording...apparently..you did too!!!
Good evening Rebeka...thank you for this reaction...not only for the powerful song and your joyful reaction but the even more powerful message at the beginning....after all this time the awareness of the message still needs to be resonated around the world...thank you for this...
Thank you so much.:)
Thank you!☮❤☮
It's Always a Joy : )
I love your reactions and I love you too 😍😍😍😘
The entire Freddie Tribute concert had different singers sing with Queen; you may want to watch other performers as well. I hope though that you keep exploring the many Queen songs with Freddie.
I definitely will do more reaction videos on that concert.:))) Thank you.:)
I never knew that they grew such beautiful and fun women in Latvia!
Oh yes they do! She is incredibly beautiful♥️
Not many performers can be lead singer of Queen & give Freddie Respect at the same time George Michaels can he held his own. Sadly we lost both Freddie & George RIP thanks for the memories.
An excellent reaction 🔥
Omg why must you die Georg Michael, you was the only one who could sing so much like Freddie ♥️ you and Freddie was in a way like, so like in the strong way your was singing, you get in contact with the crowd.....Thank you so much George for you ounerd Freddie, I hope you have met Freddie in heaven R.I.P dear George Michael......you was a very sweet and kind man, like Freddie 👑😔🌹♥️
Beautifully said.:)
@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusic Thank you Rebeka, if G. Michael not had dieth he could sing with Brian and Roger today.....very kind person with a wonderful voice, and some of the same atitude as Freddie 👑♥️🙏

Yessss.... another favorite reaction from my favorite CZcamsr
Thank you so much.:)
Somebody to love, somebody to tell.
I'm black and white too .... Loved your reaction ,made me smile beautiful gorgeous woman x
Thank you.:)
Love your reactions ) Queen - Best of Top
Thank you.:)
Wow
Freddie's songs will last forever. Each artist sang Queen songs - how they felt inside themselves, how they did it in their own way. Of course, George Michael and Elton John are his best friends, and his death was perceived as the loss of a loved one. They sang as if they had let the pain go through them. But Metallica also took Stone Gold Crazy into their repertoire, because it was closer to them, unaware that Freddie had opened the way for them in this genre in 1974. Megadet is not the ancestor of this genre of det metal, Nor Pantera, but Freddie Mercury. Very interesting performance of the Annie Lenox with David Bowie - Under pressure
I will try to do my best. Thank you for your suggestion.:)
YESSSS AGREE
Others were there out of respect, vain or sympathy. Nothing wrong with any of it, really.
But, he was there to honour the hero of his youth, to truly pass onto a new stage of his life, without his hero.
That flame coloured jacket will forever haunt Wembley in a good memory, looking up to the yellow one which owned, and forever owns the locus.

After finding your channel I've found someone to love. Keep up the good work of keeping us entertained x
Thank you.:)
O.M.G Rebcis😇🥰🤣💯💫his speech was on point but that singing was nearly perfect(there is only 1 who could😭) stay healthy grx from holland
Thank you.:)))))
One of my favorite soap opera characters died from AIDS in 1995. I think "General Hospital" was the first soap to have an AIDS storyline.
And of course...when Brian heard how George sang he felt that big difference...he heard that someone was giving him not only tribute from here to Freddy but also singing and tuning lessons...forgive my harshness
Awwwww Rebekah Welcome back!! Boy you’re channel has really grown. Congrats!! And, your hair looks fabulous!! Anyway, I thought George Michael did a great job on what is considered Freddie’s favorite song of Queen’s. I had read somewhere that George was so nervous about doing this song justice that he feared it would end his career!! Welp! I’m pretty sure Freddie was quite pleased. At the same time I tend to weep during this song cuz of John Deacon ... all those years standing next to Freddie & his piano on stage during countless live versions of SOMEBODY TO LOVE!! Awwwww man!! 😫😫👑💗
Well, still have some stuff to work on, but for now I'm back. Thank you.:)
Love it
Thank you.:)
Thank you I asked you to do this reaction and you have just made my night god bless 🙏💜

I think it's better with freddie but still good video
Well, Freddie is not with us anymore. :(
George Michael is an amazing artist. He made him proud.:)
It was beautiful.:)
Neither is george michael
In Georges Documentary i am almost positive he had found out the just before he took the stage for this performance that he was positive for AIDs and that would explain why he was so emotional in this performance.
not him but his boyfriend.
Thank you.:)
I loved at 6:29, George gave the voice to the crowd
I cannot imagine how much this tribute had to 😞 for Queen
one of the best live performances ever, George wasn't to bad either lol
Foarte frumos ,îmi place mult 👍👍👍
Thank you so much.:)
We have music like this in UK...but we always suck at Eurovision...WTF? :-))
I have a question. How do two people manage to create such a stunningly beautiful girl as you?
She is honestly one of the beautiful woman I've ever seen! I know it probably makes me sound like a creep but oh well. Great reaction anyways.
David Bowie and Annie Lennox performed Under Pressure you may enjoy that too!
It's a pity George isn't given the same attention as Freddie.
Another song with the same title: Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to love (Monterey 1967).
Contracting the vocal cords...3 all rock singers sing the wrong way...when we hear George sing that song, both rock singers and listeners feel the great relief of hearing
Stone Cold Crazy 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Spettacoular interpretation great...justice for freddie mercury song
What a fucking monster, he totally demolishes it. This could be originally performed by either freddie or george and it wouldnt make any difference
nice song choice
Thanks to my amazing subscribers.:)))
