I love my X5M over any car I've had the pleasure of owning. While it is my favorite car so far, there are a few things I do not like.

Nothing that horrible all addressable except overall costs of tire wear, gas and depreciation. I need the gas cap, 5 hp! 🙂
With how expensive stuff is for the car, thats called a money pit. If u buyin a x5M, you got money to spend so not a biggie.
Imagine trying to get away from a criminal chasing you and they open your door as your shifting into gear and the car won't move😭💀☠️

You added way more hp than factory so you can't complain about the factory transfer case n drive shaft
Oh absolutely! However, I see stock X5M’s have their transport case go out and their driveshaft all the time. From the factory, these cars have a lot of torque, and it only gets worse with even a stage one simple tune.
@@Seanhasjokes I like this gen bodystyle than the new one but they improved the quality of the leather in the new one... you don't see the leather worn-out like the older generation
@@Seanhasjokeswhat gooden fails to realize is that X5 have always had under engineered transfer cases. I have a first gen x5 M54 and the only original part I've had to replace is the front driveshaft along with the transfer case😂 it's generational issue
Wow, that is beautiful. I'm considering getting a 2023 M340 sometime in the next year or two, but with a growing family too now I have to look at that generation of X5. Probably not the X5M but I do love that body kit.
I'm biggest number 1 thing i hate is the brake fading in wet driving conditions. The seat is uncomfortable when driving long distances, tire wear, and the pulling because of the wide front tires.
I forgot about the brakes! Yeah honestly that’s a great one!

the problem having a BMW M series is that even though it cost a lot to maintain it, at the end of the day it comes down to when you drive the vehicle and gives you that BIG smile, is it worth it? My answer is YES 100% so we bare with it. i got 2023 BMW M5 competition and i love it.

Also for the car not moving with the door open, if you really need to you can leave your foot barley on the break and still move the car with the door open. As long as you have the break pressed just a little bit you can stop drive!

i don't have a x5 m but got that staggered tire setup. when i ordered the over 2 years ago (2021 model year) i was sure i ordered the 20 inch wheels which is a square setup but when they dropped off the car it ended up being 21 inches and i could have waited an extra few months but it was Christmas 2021 and they were making room for the 2022s i liked the agressive look even though i have an xdrive 40i with inline 6. not to change but you make an x5 look like a mini cooper. how tall are you? thanks for this detailed video.
I have an X5 30d but it came with the M Sport pro package and have similar size wheels. So expensive tyres and have had more than once just ran over a nail or bolt in the road. Devastating lol

All the new stuff with electric parking brakes that is german automatically get the parking brake actuated when the doors are open if you put it into drive. You can then just push the brake and disengage it and you CAN roll with the doors open if you need to.

good run down - re tyres yes they are pricey - but run staggered in Sumer and square set up in winter on my X5 50e (you don't notice the any real difference - I had though I may need spacers but no - esp if your running black rims on the winter set)
M cars are especially expensive to keep. With that in mind id make sure the beamer is a b58 like engine so its the best.
BMW In-Line 6 cylinder engine is the best. Both B58 and S58 are amazing. However, if you want V8, Mercedes and Lexus might be better options.

Well this isn’t a regular X5M by any means!
One of the things has to be the MPG, it was shocking on my X6 M.

I don't get how it was shocking. Look at how much horsepower you got. In no situation will u be gas efficient.
@@possession3929 the shocking part is that I was coming from a 5.0 2017 mustang GT that I drove hard, the X6 M fuel economy is abysmal compared to anything, only thing worst should be a hellcat motor powered car.

The M8’s have came down so much in price, but I’d wait till next year I’ll best they will loose way more value too
Safety features on the door open you can bypass it with a bmw tool plus many cool features you can add to it like roll royce sounds.. and many others
I do have the rolls Royce sound actually but I need to code that stupid door thing out ❤️
I kinda miss mine, went with a F90 instead. Probably remove the comp badge tho.
Transfer case on X5Ms is fine as long as you stick to simple mods. Its rated for 700ish Hp/ torque which is plenty of headroom, you at 800Hp/Tq makes perfect sense to why it went out.

Very smooth! I did have a air bag in the rear go out but that’s unfortunately a common failure on this platform
i believe you have to put your seatbelt on first and then you might can drive even with doors open :)

You can code the car not moving when the door is open, out! I had only one gripe with my F85 and that was the MPG. I know you don’t really buy one for that but like 8 mpg driving civilized is abysmal lol

My 2009 528i will switch to park from drive if a door is opened to prevent roll away.

Just a point on the transfer case, yes they do have problems, I have had my X5M for 18 months and changed the transfer case oil twice, I was having the standard issue with this transfer case, BMW say the oil is good for life, just to confirm this means 100,000kms or 60,000 miles. Plus you are obviously running a major modification with 800+ HP. Not sure why you think the transfer case would handle this against stock performance.
It went out before it was heavily modified so we weren’t expecting to have to replace it until later on

Literally! My oil changes with Redline 5W50 is $380 for just a oil change every 3,000-5,000 miles with me running E85 on and off
@Seanhasjokes use FCP Euro for lifetime oil warrantee, it'll cost you just the shipping expense to ship it back then you get store credit. I use a group 5 oil on my bmw and it has to be changed every 3-4k miles but FCP Euro saves me on that front.

umm, you car is old. second, the reason for the offset tires, is to hold the force of the car due to the weight. If you cant afford the tires, you shouldnt be driving an M car. If you bought a new M today, it would be 123K base. Dont buy a used expensive car, if you cant swing it. stay cheap little bro,

If I’m not mistaken you can get the car coded and it’ll allow the door to remain open when in gear but don’t quote me on that.
I’ve NEVER had an issue with my T-case going bad and I’ve also never heard of guys having so many issues with them either however when making more power shit has a tendency to break on any platform not just BMW.
I’ve also gone 11.50 with my truck as well so it was making a substantial amount of power and I didn’t have T-case or driveshaft issues but to be on the safe side I would tell anyone with these particular vehicles to do a pure upgrade if they’re looking to make way more power.
