I grew up in Clearwater and back in the 90’s it was crazy. Looking into moving back next spring summer time next year from Indiana. Moved to Indiana 1997. The craziness I love though it brings me back to my childhood. I loved living in Florida great memories!
Clearwater is one of my favorite places on the planet! I lived in Tampa for five years and used to visit frequently. I still go back a lot! Such a beautiful place.
I grew up in Clearwater in the '70's, Lincoln ave off Drew St. Back then Clearwater was really still a small town. When you were on Clearwater Memorial Causeway headed to the beach you could SEE the beach-- the tallest hotel was the Hilton, everything else was mom and pop places for the most part. Really special. The city council were in bed with the developers and they just laid waste to the charm of the place. I avoid Clearwater Beach now, except to have a grouper sandwich and She Crab chowder at Frenchy's.
My husband may be getting hired in Tampa. We are searching the surrounding areas close to his work in Tampa, but outside of the hustle and the bustle. We love the beach. We are Christian and enjoy a healthy lifestyle and hope to find good community too. Thanks for all your sharing. Clearwater or Clearwater beach looks great to us so far.
I'm watching from (unincorporated) Clearwater (between Clearwater-Largo Road and Missouri Ave.) and I enjoyed your video. I need to watch these types of videos to remember to appreciate what's close by because the area I'm in is horrendous. The county and others are working slowly to improve it but it's been a long 5 years so far.
I love your videos. I am from Allen Park, Michigan been traveling to Florida, most of my life the keys, Englewood Fla, Marathon, Florida, Clearwater, Florida, and would like to live there. If not full-time definitely during the winter months, I’m a hairdresser I have my own business.

I always love Florida in general every time I go there for vacation. My usual vacation spot has been in the Orlando area but I have taken a day trip from Winter Park to the Gulf Coast.

Beautiful beach and community. Thx for the video - esp info on traffic, year-round seasonal visitors, etc. Seeing the multiple condos was also a wake up call. I’d visit Clearwater (for beach, shopping, food) but not live there.
We vacation here every January! Not always warm though. Our last trip in 2022 sucked! Winter jackets, super windy. 50s in the daytime, low 40s at night. It did get to the 70s a few days later. You make a great point. There is a big difference between Clearwater and Clearwater Beach 👍!

I love the city of Tampa though. Im not really a city guy but I don’t mind spending time in Tampa because of the access to water and other cultures. What part of southwest Florida would you recommend for a young conservative entrepreneur who appreciates the Latin culture?
clearwater definitely is better than st pete, i live on 1st ave by downtown st pete for a year, and move to clearwater by coachman park , and i feel it's better here bc the beaches are way better, and the city is cleaner.

Are there neighborhoods in the Tampa-Clearwater-Sarasota area, with 3/2/2 single family homes, under $400K, 1500 sq ft, built within the last 20 years that's within 30 minutes to a gulf coast beach? It seems like there are a lot of homes under $400K that are quite old, but not so much that's more modern.
Hey there! You best bet is to go to the city crime map. It's public record and a great resource! Just make sure you compare it to where you currently live for perspective.
Check out the newspaper . It used to be called The St Pete Times...if you put that in search it goes to the newer Tampa paer. Check Pinellas County and see the local crime... thats a good picture of whats going on. Pinellas Park is BAD ! I used to live in Madeira Beach.

Outrageous expensive. Stay away unless your a multi millionaire. Property tax hurricane insurance monthly home association fees of over 1000 a month .That's for a very old building like clearwater pointe. Headquarters of the cult of scientology own everything downtown . An hour to get to say decent nightlife in tampa or saint Pete. Use to be great and reasonable 30 years ago .no more and don't be nuts to buy a condo .

Yes, there’s about 10 pretty chilly days each winter. It can even dip in the the high 30’s at night from time to time.

The greater Tampa Bay Area is where you want to be. We are growing through tech and entrepreneurship. You can’t go wrong.

Hi Cindy, there aren’t many new homes in the area. Right now if you found a newer home under $400k it’s not in a great location.
