      Skarm Tank sure you can. MT gets prio for threat and then it goes to rogues. Warriors don’t need it anymore with the new hs queuing mechanic and our 6% hit cap.

    • @thiskneegrow
      @thiskneegrow Před 4 lety

      TheOriginalLokisam warriors do more damage than rogues though so it equals out. And you can’t expect warriors to master heroic strike queuing.

    • @TheOriginalLokisam
      @TheOriginalLokisam Před 4 lety

      The Knee with ony+songflower most warriors will be pushing over 40% crit. At that point you can nearly sustain hs every mh swing anyway. It’s just not worth it to take dft over a rogue when we’ll replace it in the next major raid release.

    • @thiskneegrow
      @thiskneegrow Před 4 lety

      TheOriginalLokisam you need more hit once you get crit capped. DFT + HoJ is bis until Naxx. Getting crit capped is easy with world buffs. And heroic strike queuing doesn’t work with all warriors. You cannot expect warriors to all que it perfectly.

    Life giving gem was seen as a tank item in Vanilla, in fact it's one of the best trinkets for a MT if not bis because of how it scaled with health. I don't recall many guilds on my server having drama over this, it was often MT pri in most guilds and PvP rolls would come second. The item that will cause the most drama will definitely be The Untamed Blade and Ashkandi, especially on Alliance.

      Green2711 1 I thought similar things regarding the weapons but most guilds don’t seeem to give a shit about PvP. I’ll tell you what though if I was warrior on alliance and lost Ashkandi to a ret Paladin id punch a wall lmfao. I’m horde though so I just chuckle at that meme spec as it attempts to auto attack me down. I also gotta say not enough people give love to the trusty Drake Talon Cleaver. I used that in vanilla until Ashkandi and it was legit. I was hoping to do the same in classic but I got Spinal a month ago so I won’t be rocking it this time around. But folks shouldn’t sleep on it. Especially if you’re horde and orc. Two hand fury with an axe or OEB puts out insane numbers

      It's a matter of politics, letting 2-5 people decide who does and doesn't get loot is an easy way to introduce unnecessary drama. Using something like dkp so that those who participate the most get priority, or main spec rolling so everyone who needs it has the same chance are fair systems, no matter how many times I roll a 6

    • @chromeshellking
      @chromeshellking Před 4 lety +2

      Both systems have pros/cons. What you should look at in the long term is this, Do you wanna be in a guild that uses DKP or LC? If you pick one ask yourself why and etc. In the guild I am in we use LC but we actually have a good core so we dont have drama much. The only drama of late was another tank leaving because he didnt get a 100 percent guarantee he would be the second set of bindings(We got one finally of the 2).
      If a loot council becomes corrupt then id argue the main raid can just say fuck you to the 2-5 deciding loot and tell them to just 5 man every raid. And watch how fast that wilts.

Giving up 2 mp5 for 66 healing isn't that great for shamans as opposed to +20 heal and 9mp5 for druids is insane. Priest trinket also benefits druids slightly more and druid trinket benefits priest slightly more, so why should a shaman take it again?

    @larsmorsing9609 Před 4 lety +3

    Hello. Here are my thoughts on these items.
    Following points only applies if LC is the used system. DKP solves itself, highest dkp wins the item. Don't like it, find a LC guild. With that said, LC should only be a thing in very serious guilds imo. Also, meme specs like feral dps/shadow priest isnt ever in my consideration. I'll explain later.
    Mantle of the Blackwing Cabal: Are you serious? 30 spell dmg shoulders are in the game. Even rank 10 shoulders. Are you in a LC guild, with casters not using these items, your guild aren't serious enough to be a LC guild. It's really not a big deal.
    Lifegiving Gem: Your guild is a serious guild? Give it to tanks first, since they can have use of it in PvE, then rankers/PvP'ers cus its useless for dps. How does this cause drama?
    Lifegiving Gem: Shamans prio imo, but this is prolly the item I have the least knowledge about.
    DFT: Tanks = Rogues > Furies. Allright, so Fury dps gains stat ratio is 9AP pr hit above 6%. Making this a 14AP Increase over the 2% crit trinket (1crit is valued about 30 ap). So a very small gain.
    For tanks i'd say it should be prioriticed to them for TPS, if they are currently struggling with threat, however I'd say rogues has a better claim to this, depending on your tanks current threat state (don't be that greedy MT, taking everything, just because you can). Also If you're running tank druids, they have same prio as other tanks. Stop the feral meme, saying ferals does competetive dps is such a false statement. If you have a feral dps doing high dps, i bet you, he isnt doing high dps, but your warriors are doing LOW dps. Recruit new warriors! If this is the case, you arent in a serious guild, hence shouldn't use LC over DKP, and therefore problem solved.
    classic.warcraftlogs.com/zone/rankings/1000#metric=dps&class=DPS Theres a reason charts looks like this.
    Lok'amir: I'd say shamans = Druids > Spriest. You don't bring a spriest for his DPS. But then again, as I said, im not really into healing that much, however your guild will prolly bring a shadow weaving priest, so please...
    Prestor's: Rogues > Hunters. Why? Benefits you're guild more to have geared rogues cus they do more damage. Theres allrdy hit on ony neck, so hunters will do fine hitting tranqs without this item. You will probably seeing hunters whine more about the first xbow just within the hunter class alone, than hunters whining about this item.
    Boots of shadow flame: Tank druids > Rogues. Cus tanks more important that your rogue. Feral? really? If you are feral and want loot, find a dkp guild.
    Pure elementium band: Priests > Druids > Shaman. 1 finger will have the MC ring on it. The other finger will have this! In aq40 you get the Ring of the Martyr, whch you will most likely prioritice to shamans/druids, and you can't expect to have both right? But then again, im not into healing that much.
    Tear: Warlocks > Mages. If you rolled a shadowpriest and think you're getting this item, you done f*cked up. So the reason my guild prioritices warlocks is obviously because of the hit, however mages need it too. Thing is, Mish'undare is also bis for both, but warlocks lack hit more, AND they get t2.5 from AQ40 which prolly replaces mish'undare, so giving that head to mages. Also giving staff of whatever to mages first, cause locks can get a good hit offhand in ZG, and therefore will use MB and that OH. So mages has prio on 2 desired items, warlock has on one.
    So, the priorities arent the end-all-be-all. Obviously you need to consider performance too. If you have a rogue doing less dmg than your feral dps (ffs) then give it to the feral dps, cause you will probably replace the rogue in the near future. Also, most people understand that when they are CLEARLY outperfmed by someone, that someone is most likely to see the very contested items first.
    These are my thoughts.

    • @HamsterWheelGaming
      @HamsterWheelGaming  Před 4 lety

      I understand your logic, and the thing is that these items aren't sensitive to drama as there's no logic to explain why said item should go to x over y. • @Xylarxcode
    @Xylarxcode Před 4 lety +2

    Maybe this is me being overly optimistic, but holy shit am I ever impressed with how mature and patient people are with loot in 2019 compared to 2005, when I first began raiding. People just don't fight over loot like they used to anymore. Ofcourse, when you can down all content with little to no effort and you clear all of MC in 90 mins without breaking a sweat, you're bound to get your loot sooner or later. If someone else gets theirs before you, it's no biggie. You'll have your chance next week. Or the week after that.
    You tell someone they can't have this item right now and instead of starting a flame war over it, they just accept it and go: Yea, sure, that's cool. I'll get it next time. Seems like a big part of the reason people used to drool over loot so hard and fight for the right to get it was because killing bosses back in 2004-2006 was much harder because we had no clue what the fuck we were doing. Now, we know pretty much all there is to know and every single piece of content that is currently available is a cakewalk for even the most casual guild. When you know your guild is clearing all available content with minimal effort anyway, you'll get your loot sooner or later, which makes it far easier to be understanding of why you didn't get it this time.
    Sure, raids like AQ40 and Naxx are probably NOT going to be the walk in the park that MC is right now, but I still expect a buttload more people will clear it then they did in vanilla. Even Naxx will be brought to its knees by a guild that takes it halfway serious. With everything we know about our classes, all the foresight we have to prepare ahead of time and all the strategies already mastered long before the raid even comes out, how could we not clear it with so much more ease.
    Loot drama isn't what it used to be because raid difficulty isn't what it used to be. I lost T1 priest rolls so many times in my first few MC weeks. Didn't give a shit, because I knew I'd catch up eventually and I had plenty of time before BWL. And lo and behold, I did in fact catch up to the other priests just fine. No point in being dramatic when you know the loot is pretty much guaranteed. You just have to wait longer then some others to get it, but you will get it in time.

    I think Neltharion's Tear should be warlock priority first and foremost. Not only do they need this item the most due to hit. Mages don't really need that item, and I say this as a mage myself.
    My reasoning is that if you do a loot council, you can give mages a priority on ToEP from Molten Core. It is quite a bit better on a mage than a warlock thanks to the Arcane Power talent. A mage will want to go in boss fights with ToEP and MQG equipped if they have them - and giving them a Neltharion's Tear is therefore unreasonable, as they won't even have it equipped most of the time.

    • @Hackaway
      @Hackaway Před 4 lety

      Ideally it should yes, mages can get 6% hit from talents and 1% more hit from Ringos or r7 boots. In the ZG patch they also get 2% hit from their head/leg enchant while warlocks are just shafted with their tier/pvp/enchants lol. Giving warlocks extra hit actually marginally improves mage dps because getting 5 resists in a row while trying to apply Curse of Elements is frustratingly more common than you'd think. It also reduces the chance of the improved shadowbolt debuff to resist so that's another raiddps bump.

      question is, did that LC member deserve it and what class was he ... for example if it went to your guild maintank the DPS whore need to STFU or never ever again complain they cant go all out because tank doesnt have aggro to keep up with them ...
      and yes LC is just asking for guild disbanding over loot drama, even as flawed as it is DKP is much better because its nearly drama free unless your raid leader assigns loot bid privileges to someone who shouldnt have them (for example in my guild bid prio on Head of Onyxia is melee+hunters only, all caster classes will have to wait theyr turn after them)

    We solved neltharion's tear by making it prio for warlocks, and making the Talisman from MC prio for mages. Reasoning being is that mages get a really good class trinket with BWL release, while warlocks don't and are stuck with 6% less hit rating than mages. We only have Mages and Warlocks in our raid group as casters, no spriests, balance nor elementals. Sure is nice to be able to avoid the drama of the tear.

    • @Asghaad
      @Asghaad Před 4 lety

      if you dont have at least one Spriest in raidgroup then your Warlocks must do reall REALLY shit dps ... therefore wasting BiS prio item on them over Mage is idiotic ... you just wasted item that could boost your useful DPS class and gave it to one that is crap with or without it ...

      you can say its easy - and I agree, but you can't overlook just how many raidguilds are not able to clear mc. And in bwl the first 3 bosses have already more mechanics than 90% of the mc bosses.

    "Tanks will argue DFT is good for them" It is. 2% hit alone is a good enough reason why. This + LHH + Onslaught and your hit is fixed up.

      Having DFT literally means you can tank with one of the best balanced items, Helm of Endless Rage.
      Drake Fang Talisman
      Band of Accuria
      Don Julio's Band
      Onyxia Tooth Pendant
      GAME. SET. MATCH.

      @@hxwow I'm imagining that your tank is playing the proper race or using Dagger Gloves/Edgemasters to provide you with the Weapon Skill to give you effective 3% on bosses. Now you only need 6% from other sources, which are listed above. If both those scenarios are not true, then you are taking so much gear away from your raid that would have been avoided at the Character Select screen or Auction House.
      Now you can make your DPS happy and give them
      Onslaught earlier, Chromatic Boots ASAP, Nefarian Heads(Master Dragonslayer if they want it), Quick Strike Rings, etc.

    1) I often argued as a hunter "fine, don't award me plus hit gear. Just don't be mad when a traq shot on chromag misses and his frenzy wipes the raid." 2) I often topped the damage meters in blackwing lair using the epic class hunter bow and a mix of tier 1 and 2 gear on my troll hunter. Still don't think I ever got Prestor's. I think I'd feel guilty taking it from a rogue.

    • @1mrs1
      @1mrs1 Před 4 lety

      Mostly because hunters didn't get benefit from plus hit over 5% and rogues could use plus hit all the way up to 15% (iirc). So hunters were typically at their hit cap by the time they get to BWL and rogues likely can never get to their hit cap in classic.
