Selena is a strong woman, looking at what she has gone through: her breakup with Justin who married someone else and suffering from mental health issues including kidney failure and arthritis.
I love selena so much and I'm not trying to defend her like a hardcore selenator or anything as I am one myself but half the things said are altered by media and not entirely true. The only thing strange is that she is posting little, but that is for her mental health to restore and for her to feel a lot better. We all need a break sometimes, life can be overwhelming. I will support her no matter what because she's a queen and I know she will have an amazing comeback. You know, I've always felt that it's a bit of a pity she's given up on acting. How many films had she participated in since Disney, and how much attention - proportionately, compared to singing - had she given to acting since then? Selena is a much more talented actress than a singer, and I wish she and her team would realize that sooner. In fact, she is so brilliant that if she hadn't given up on acting she probably would have landed an academy nomination if not win. I know being an actress seems much more underrated than being a singer these days, (on top of the fact that it's now easier to gain popularity with fast music production rather than waiting for a year or two for a movie to come out) but don't give up what's truly yours. The truth is, Selena had neither been an established singer nor an actress, she has become a mere tabloid star who happens to be involved in art work attempts. All her (former) best friends, e.g., Swift and Lovato, are recognized and award-winning singers and she hasn't lived up to that expectation. All criticism aside, she is incredibly talented, but as an actress and not a musician.
I think she is better as an actress but I would really hate if she stopped making music. Just to make both. She hasn't given up. She has made 'The Fundamentals of Caring' and she was supposed to release a film this year but a scandal happened and it is postponed

Well with dealing with mental health myself it can be frustrating at times on how to handle it feeling alone not having support or anyone to lean on to vent to so I can understand her pain I also have an illness that's led a huge impact on my life and I try to not let it get me down and just keep moving forward praying to God but I like to write my thoughts down in my journal which helps I'm sure Selena Gomez will be ok

I love this amazing young woman. Some Times fans think that they have it all. I pray her health becomes very stable. The media can be cruel and some fan can be jealous and nasty. Get well and it is amazing her empathy for a friends that she can still care of their welfare. I have always believed she is amazing. With a lot of real friends I love her acting as well.
What do I think? I see Selena as being just a human being, with adorable qualities and some baggage. But four things make her extremely special - 1. She has spunk and talent in overflow; 2. She has a HUGE loving heart that gets easily broken; 3. She is ruthlessly honest about her struggles, and even sings about them; 4. She has known great suffering, and as I have come to realise, suffering can either break you, or make you a better person. I would love to love someone like Selena Gomez!

Part of the reason is - I thought she was genuine and exposing your vulnerabilities with the threat of being judged shows strength, I see a human being in an imperfect world, the same world everybody else live in. Most of Selena's song are mostly singing about JB. She never moved on, she even commented on his photos of his new girlfriend. Only recently she moved on by releasing "lose you to love me". Most people would move on soon after a break. She was unable to move on therefore it has affected her career. JB is a very arrogant person saying she is using him to remain relevant, but reality they both are not at the top. JB recent song is riding on with Ed, so nothing special to talk about.
