Tool's cover of You Lied by Peach
    Artist: Tool
    Song: You Lied (Live)
    Album: Salival
    [Lyrics]
Setting sun can't shine, now you're gone
    Inside sleeping, my heart beating
You know that you tried to hide it
Couldn't you have said what you meant? Oh...
Time heals, time congeals around us
    Endless hours of wasted moments
    Understanding, not demanding
Your eyes tell what you feel inside
Setting sun can't shine, now you're gone
    Inside sleeping, my heart beating
You know that you tried to hide it
Shouldn't you have said what you meant?
    YOU LIED!

no one even tries anymore, they defy being cool. they are fully sick by todays standards, and thats maybe why the "sick" are here to listen and resonate.

Austin Brown indeed. Experts on the study of lacrymology they intended to be a way to deal with such things... you know laughter is the best medicine and all that... it the name took in respect to this band was indeed intentionally able to mean a tool to get through life, a tool...like an idiot, fool, OGT in92 etc etc, a tool is also a another word for someone’s penis. It’s a punny triple entendre all three of which are equally true.

I am 51 and literally had given up on music
My older brother suggested for the last couple of years “Have you listened to Tool?”
Due to iTunes, etc I couldn’t get my hands on it and I wasn’t going to purchase any more cd’s! So fast forward 2 years, my brother goes to see Tool in Chicago and comes back and said it has changed his life. Whatever! I thought but might as well give them a shot
So for all u Tool fans all I can say is WOW!!!!

(and I have been to *a lot* of concerts since 1977) I hope they release their stuff on streaming sites. I want to get Salival so bad! Great tunes on that CD/DVD. I think this song makes a powerful, profound and yet very simple statement that could and does apply to anyone! The riffs and rhythm highlight the sadness and pain of betrayal, where as the lyrics bring forth resonance and the end is a bold release of anger!...which most of us experience from being lied to in one form or another

Sat center, row 5, got a tour of the sound and lighting booth and backstage hang on the bus. Huge thanks to MH and BH for one of the greatest experiences of our lives. Extra HUGE Thanks to the members of TOOL! Your musical contributions have greatly enhanced the lives of many! Lastly, this tune is an absolute, sonic masterpiece! ( as is all of your music )
